Actually a dude somewhere in the new England states did take tesla to court and won, they kept denying selling him parts to fix tesla cars but kept saying to bring them in and they will fix it for him. Courts agreed that the consumer has every right to fix their own cars. So because of that, tesla got in big trouble for it.

i work at a repair shop in germany and we once repaired a tesla. It took 2 weeks and alot of hassle just for the parts to arrive, not talking about how the car was manufactured to even get to the right bolts etc

@@JesusGomez-jz4yf Depends on the terms of the waiver, if it doesn't describe what "light" damage is then it would be up to the courts to decide, but if it just say damage in the waiver he is fucked, and I bet that is what it said. I would also bet that he talked to his legal team before even posting this video, and I sure hope his lawyer watched this video before he released it.

They said "little to no damage" and then "totaled" his car (as Gavin said). A totaled car has more than a little damage, however, he signed a waiver saying "any" damage to the car would not be covered. Sounds like they had a lazy lawyer

Parts aren’t that ridiculous priced surprisingly. Driver fender is easily fixable no need for a new one. Driver quarter is a easy fix too although they are aluminum. Passenger quarter will need to be replaced and it gets replaced on glue and rivets! Looking forward to the rebuild series!

⚡️⚡️⚡️DONT go through or report this damage through an insurance company......They will total the car and then Tesla turns off/disables any kind of Supercharging at a Tesla Supercharger and also disables Chademo adapter fast charging at a non Tesla public pay charger. All you’ll have left is basic (slow) charging at a non Tesla public pay charge location, home or shop personnel basic wallcharger charging left. Not sure if you know this. I also mention as a reply in a message or two below. ⚡️⚡️

I mean they left it field of full of water, sounds like they were in over their head a little bit with the course. Sounds like a hyperdrive kinda thing even the way they made them sign waivers. It sounds a lot like what, fielding shreddar, the guy who won the first hyperdrive went through. And everyone immediately wanted them to make another one.

This is extremely unrelated to the video, and most probably wont care. However, I just wanted to say that you guys at 6 Media have gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life. I've never had an idol before, but I guess it would be all of you. Everything you guys do, whether it's some stupid shit, or turning a stock GT into an absolute drag monster, it gets me through the day. 'Don't Lose Sight' has become one of my biggest motivational phrases, and I actually tell myself that when things get hard. Anyways, point of this is, follow your own advice. I saw the episode you were on. I think the show is entertaining, but for most of the people that go on the show the winnings aren't worth all the damage they cause. To win a total of 7k and you have 30k worth of damage is insane. Really sucks they were misleading when you signed up. I wouldn't have taken it so well. Shit I'm piss off for you!
