Wow, the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series sounds like an amazing addition to outdoor gear! The massive capacity, fast recharging, and waterproof technology make it perfect for camping or as a home backup power source. Plus, the smart app control is a great feature for monitoring energy usage. Thanks for sharing this recommendation!
I've made my decision. I'm not sure which video I responded to you on but I believe it was on the Anker. I asked something about it and you suggested look into the Bluetti. I went with the Pecron 2000LFP. I wanted raw power without all the frills in the 2000 watt range. It's 1920 wh. Life Po 4 and now I'm saving up for the expandable battery. The main unit retails at $1400. It is on sale for $500 off. I used a RU-vidrs product code and got another $45 off. So that's 1920 wh with a 2000 watt inverter for .44c per watt. Ordered it yesterday for $854.00 only thing it could have that I really didn't care much about was UPS and the wifi apps. I think I'll be happy especially when I get the expandable battery which is 3000wh. That will be over 5000 wh for about $2200. Maybe I'll do a video about it.
The pecron looks to be a great unit & far as I'm concerned you made a great choice! I was looking at it myself but the voltage I believe was lower than what my panels required. I'm sure you will be happy with it. Please let me know what you think of it after you run it a few times. Thanks for the info.
I can honestly say, if you get a solar generator make it the oupes mega 5! this is a huge watt package with 7000w surge peak, don't look anywhere else. I'm just being honest! I run mine all night long & still have around 50%-45% left when I get up in morning. And could still let it run but I start charging that morning so I can run it again for upcoming night.
My 1st OUPES MEGA 5 was also a dud. It would not connect to the expansion battery. This one is working fine. The first one was an older model. I use it for my freezer, beverage cooler and 2 other smaller accessories. It is connected to solar panels 24/7.
I am a complete newbie at this so pardon my questions if they seem dumb... 1. How are you transferring the power from the solar panels to the unit? 2. How are you running all those machines at the same time when they are in different rooms - extension cords? Thanks!
I'll answer the best I can! #1-I use a MC4 cable, they make different types with mc4 on both ends or mc4 on one end & a Anderson cable on another end. #2- I don't use all at same time but only use one at a time. And I run electrical line from one room to the other from under house. all very easy to do. I made a video on how to do this. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C725FG5M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AK08CFA7AIN0M&psc=1 link to mc4 cable on amazon. I have a quick question if you don't mind. I want to run a 5000 BTU window unit that pushes right around 500 watts in your opinion which portable power station would be the best to run it for 5 to 6 hours.
Well, if your wanting to run it for 5 or 6 hrs then you're going to be looking at a very costly unit to be honest. The EF ECOFLOW DELTA Pro Ultra 6000Wh Power Station, which is on sale right now for $5,099. But you could save money by buying a cheaper/lower BTU window unit & buying an oupes mega5 for $3,000 or less or a OUKITEL P5000 for $2,599 all on amazon.
Yes, it does & yes, they do. I asked OUPES about this & even sent a video. There reply was that the electronic parts are very sensitive but that is how it's supposed to work & there is nothing wrong with it. And so far, mine has worked like a dream!
Hey. Great video. Couple questions. 1). I have one, and when I charge my RAV4 Prime with the Prime’s 120v wall charger (1440 watts), the unit shuts down output after running for 5-10 minutes by bringing output to zero for maybe 5 seconds, then builds back up to 1440 watts. It then runs for another 5-10minutes before performing the same cycle again. Does yours do this as well? 2) can you confirm this will definitely provide output charge via the EV gun port? I thought it was only input. Thanks so much in advance!!
Yes, all mega5's charge & then shut off then start charging again. It's a safety feature to keep the MPT from getting damaged. May I ask how much solar are you putting in? (solar wattage/panels?) And it will provide charging for EV gun port providing you get correct gun port with correct end for mega5 output. The mega5 has 5040WH so it definitely has enough watts for charging EV. If & when you buy your gun port, make sure which connector end it comes with to hook up to mega5 outputs. They make different ones but yes you differently can use the mega5. A level (1) EV charge port has a 110-ac adaptor for plugging into AC outlet which mega5. A level (2) is a 30Amp plug which the mega5 has & or also a charging hub wall mount that you can install in say a garage. But yes, the mega5 will except an EV charger gun. If i can help in any further, please e-mail or message me. Thanks for watching & please like, share, & subscribe. It really helps my channel. Godless.
Hey, thank you for the reply. My “stop start” happens on discharge. It never “stops starts” on solar charging. And I think it was the car, not the power bank. Just running a 1400w heater, I noticed no stop/start events. My array is small. Peak 800 watts.
Hi, my unit was at 75% and decided to recharge for the very first time, when the display showed the 100% the unit kept charging, I could still hear the fans working and the little fan icon spinning in the display, is that behaviour ok? I thought it has a smart software for stopping the charge and preventing heatting the battery? Does yours work the same?
Mine will hit 100% & it will still run fans sometimes for a few minutes. The fans have nothing to do with charging, they run when temp is high, but ounce temp goes down they will kick off. This is protection & cooling of batteries.
@@KYHill-billy thanks, I did the test yesterday night at 24°C inside the unit, but the fans kept working. What do you do? Just unplug the cable or turn off the AC switch protector first and then unplug the cable?
Sorry for late reply but I didn’t get notifications on your comment. When it’s done charging I unplug my Solar connection & then turn off unit. Sorry again my buddy.
It can be as long as you buy correct switch to tie into your breaker box. But I don't choose to do that. You will also have to look into codes in your area. That's why I ran my own electric line under the house & to my appliances & living room for tv/security cameras so I wouldn't have to tie into my home grid & also fool with codes. If you haven't watched my other videos, please check out a couple I have done on just that. Very simple to do. But keep in mind that the MEGA5 cannot run a central air/heat pump. Thank you for the question.
Seeing you walk into that bedroom with all of those power stations there was wild! The Oupes is great minus not having a 100w type c input, its just 60 watts but still a great buy. East KY isn't far from me in Huntington,WV
