I love how the quilt top comes out. I like pink and orange together. Your cat is killing me! My cat does those things too. Hogs my chair so I’m on the edge about to fall off…she will lay on my projects and not get up for nothing and she will knock my iPad out of my hands to get some loving 🥰 ❤ I also love the bloopers. I do that too but I don’t know how to edit 😂
You are truly dedicated to keeping your pattern in the same direction. :-). I do agree the teacups in all directions caused me a moment's pause, but then I was okay. LOL. Thank you for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate it. 😃 April
Enjoying your tutorials... I have a number of Donna Robertson books and hope to do some piecing soon. I do have a gripe though. It's not directed at you April. One thing I don't understand is; if so many people watch FREE tutorials on RU-vid (like I do) why don't they simply click the like button? It's not hard to do and it shows appreciation to the people spending their time and energy to produce the tutorials. I have noticed this trend on a many channels. Kinda sad to me. Well, I'll stop being a downer now and hope y'all are blessed in all things good.
I like to make my borders bigger too. Loved how you had half of the chair, and your cat had the other half of the chair. I have tried about 4 or 6 of Donna Robertson's patterns. Loved two of these patterns so much that I made three quilts of each one. Love your video's.
Enjoy your videos, April. Really 'down to earth'. My thought on this particular quilt top is that the two solid rose blocks somehow seem out of place since there are no other large solid blocks to balance them out. Still, a neat looking top.
Thank you. I think the blocks are supposed to look like they are cascading down, but my fabric is really bright and might skew that a little. LOL Thank you so much for watching. :-) April
I love this! I have several yards of this collection and love this more simple design. So many patterns featuring the Tula prints are crazy complicated.
Thank you for you comments and sharing ... I love the tula fabrics .. but they can be a little busy ... but I love this pattern selection so much thank you so much! April
I do enjoy the 3 yard quilt tutorials. I have some Bob Ross fabric I'm trying to work in and going to check and see if I have enough to make this one. Thanks for sharing.
Love the colors and the quilt is awesome! And thank you for another fantastic video, it helps when you make it so we can follow direction(s). Love the sweet kitty. Watch out though she may steal the show..lol.😺🤗
Oh my goodness! Seeing your cat pop up like that got me!! Lol….this is my first video of yours that I watched and loved it so much!! New subby and look forward to binge watching your channel!! Have a blessed weekend! 👋🇨🇦
I really like the pattern that you are working with, especially seeing it in the blue prints against the white background. I fell in love with that color combination. I think I'd do it though with fabrics with no directional patterning. The tea cups going in different directions kind of bother me. Thanks for the video on how to sew the pattern.
I know what you mean - I think next time I would hesitate before using directional fabric with this pattern. I just couldn't stop myself. LOL. Thank you for watching. :-) April
Hi April i love your videos you make it so relaxing and fun to quilt. You're so easy to follow. Going to purchase some of Donnas books to make lots of lap quilts for grandkids and people i love. Thanks so much for the time you take to make it fun and easy to follow you. You're exactly what i need to inspire me to try more. Plus love your embroidery videos too as i just bought a Janome embroidery machine 2 years ago and all i've made is a dozen reading pocket pillows with cool sayings to give away to kids. you do inspire me.
@@aprilscraftroom Love that you highlight larger blocks, because when I buy fabric, I usually don't want to cut it up into tiny pieces - I bought it because I love it and want to see the print or pattern. And larger blocks solve that dilemma. Thanks again!
First time. Watching video awesome I was hoping you’d mention the pattern size of the block As you were cutting the fabric blocks out.... I love the Tula Pink Fabric
the measurements are in the book... I am so sorry I can't give that out ... it is not mine to give ... The book is awesome and very reasonably priced ... Hope you have fun making this quilt thank you for watching April
I have lots of friends that I want to make quilts for and I also want to donate to different charities. Project Linus is one that some of my quilts will go to. Thank you for watching. April
I have done several of Donna patterns as Quilt As You Go. I have all her books . Making my grandkids each a quilt so they have something to remember me by when I’m no longer on this earth.
This Pink/orange fabric is YUMMY!!! I’d love to do something with it but can’t seem to find it in stock anywhere! I’m OCD so I immediately had anxiety over the tea cups going different directions. It’s not a good thing to have directional fabrics in my world unless I can make sure they are all upright. 🙁 BEAUTIFUL WORK MISSY!
Thank you. 😃. This pattern definitely isn't suited for directional fabric. I totally understand why the upside down and sideways teacups would cause anxiety. What a mess it would make. LOL. Thank you so much for watching. April
It makes me oddly uncomfortable when you show the rotary cutter without the rotary cutter sound.😂 Love your show! I am a new quilter and love the 3 yard quilts. Thanks!
Thank you for binge watching. I need to sandwich and quilt them and then they will be gifts or they will be donated to Project Linus or another charity. April
That is another reason I love Donna's 3 yard quilts. There are lots of patterns that show off the fabric that you love. I always cringe a little when I have to cut it up. LOL. Thank you for watching. April
What is it about cats that they have to sit on your chair when you are sewing. Mine come running when they hear the sewing machine. As there are two of them and I cannot be described as small I have to sit on a stool in the end. .
Hi Gail .. LOL .. I feel your pain! I have two cats and a small dog likes to be held or sits behind me in my chair! Thank you for watching my video! April
I was almost afraid to use it because I know I won't be able to get more. The hoarder in me said don't cut it, but the quilter in me said you have to cut it! LOL. Thank you for watching. And I will share when I quilt it - I already have a design in mind for it. April
April I love your videos. I do a lot of Donnas quilts too and add extra borders too to make them larger. They are such fun. Wish I could show you one I just did. You would really need shades for it.
My friend Sherry cut it out and bought the t-shirt and then brought it over for me to press. LOL. We have a small t-shirt business and she is the cutter and I am the presser. Isn't it great! Thank you. April
I like the illusion of the blocks stacked on top of one another. And I think it would be a good one for some of my favorite 3 Wishes panels. :-). Thank you for watching. April
I love this, love how she talks on her instructions. I especially love the kitty cat sitting behind her in her chair. I thought that was so cute!! Thank You
