I’m surprised to hear your take on the upcoming Rocket set. I would think you would wait for the chase cards to be shown before deciding. Wouldn’t an Armored Mewtwo Alt art cause insane popularity and hype for example?
Terrestrialized eeveelutions may not be as hype as you expect. I would wait to check out the arts first. Not going to be be eevee heroes/evolving skies 2.0 in my opinion. As for the Rocket set they already announced there are no 'dark' pokemon. Hopefully at least one of these sets is promising but I wouldn't count on either being the best set in SV.
One of your reasonings for the new Rocket set being a bad investment is that vintage dark pokemon werent popular. Dark pokemon are confirmed not in this new team rocket set.
Why do you think that the popularity of the first team rocket set has so much weight in the value of the new one? There’s so many other factors to consider, besides the fact that the collector population and market has made a 180 turn since then.

I'm going all in on surging sparks not team rocket. I also went all in on 151. I will buy some of the new eevee set in English and Japanese. I wish they would show more cards. I only own one box of evolving skies I wish I had a case. I got in late and paid 350 for it. Not looking like a bad investment now though.
Dont do it bro, those special sets in japan get printed to the ground. JP modern sealed investing is a tough game right now. English modern is hot, may as well ride that train for now and give the JP market a few years to burn through some of that supply. I am diamond holding my 100 box of eevee heroes i got on release, and what im currently buying is lost abyss around $80/850 for a box/case
btw you probably dont remember me but i was also giving you the same warning about JP 151 when you were preaching that you cant see it going below $120 a box. I knew with 100% certainty the box would hit MSRP or near it, i even made a few reddit threads about it
Eevee Heroes i can understand, I am surprise you are buying up lost abyss. The question i ask myself abt TF is....will te be like Shiny Treausre EX $30 box or will it be Vstar Universe $70 a box. I would not buy anything more than USD60

Love your plan for TF. Sell a box, roll it into the next = infinite funds it'll be interesting to see if 151 is our #1 set for SV or TF. I'm not sure about Team Rocket. I hear your point, and I like it. I think Dark Pokemon are cool. Pokemon definitely needs a little edge. We have a A TON of bright, colorful, children like designs. Something edgy could take it over the moon, but thats not really Pokemons style.
