Teddy is a 3 year old Norfolk Terrier from the Netherlands. He is sooo sweet but loves to bark! 😉 Teddy is obsessed with food and loves to play and to cuddle. He’s just so cute! 🥰

It's probably too late for your dog, but it easy to control barkers. It's not barking, it is excessive barking. Dogs bark to get attention of the "pack". Here's what you do. From day one. 8 wks. When they bark you let them bark a 3 or 4 times. Then you act like you know what they are trying to "tell" you. Act interested. Tell them they are good boys for alerting the family. Then tell them to hush, we heard you, that's enough. Once they have had their "brief say in the matter" they need to stop because there is nothing to bark about. When they stop, they are praised. Even works on Chihuahuas. Even a pack of dogs will correct an excessive barker.

That's really sad and so unfair. We also had our Norfolk put to sleep at the end of July 23 because he had a pericardial effusion which is apparently rare for this breed. He was 10, and had so much more to give but I guess we were blessed he was a family member for those 10 years.
