Love this and have been following you for a while. I am sad to hear you say you may never go back to finish your medical training. I believe you would be a great medical teacher, your patience and clarity would help so many. Please reconsider and get back to it. We need you.
I think it's great you're being honest with your viewers. I've been experimenting with different note taking apps for quite awhile and found that not only have learned a lot, but I've also learned that without a doubt, every single app I've tried has had flaws, as far as poor design, missing features, poor integration, confusing UI and/or UX and given me moments of confusion and frustration. I think your content is great
Oh wow, if you start doing stuff on Apple Notes, this is going to be Christmas for me.... I'm trying hard to learn how to make it fit my needs, or change how I do things to fit Apple Notes, just so I can keep all my info in one place and a bit safer. 👍
One of the things that I really like about Margin note is how the highlighted page of a pdf is directly linked to the page in the PDF. I know that just a screenshot. You have that ability now in notes but a screenshot also works great too. Whatever works for you I guess that’s what you use. Thanks Ropsie for a great video and that soothing voice of yours.
I tried to use Apple Notes for 100% of my notes but their software is far too buggy, I've had so damn many issues, like: * Using annotations causes PDF filesize to inflate each time the file is annotated (even if you delete previous annotations the size keeps increasing, never goes down) * Sometimes handwritten text just doesn't save when a note is closed and I had to re-write the entire thing from scratch * The Apple Notes experience on Windows through the iCloud website is pathetic (can't pin/unpin notes or see which notes are pinned, can't open locked notes, can't add or download images/documents, etc) Need to figure out a better system.
I knew that you would cover MN4! Nice job Paperless X you are awesome. Thanks for sharing your workflow too. Please introduce some advanced features that MN4 developers tried to implement but could not deliver to the users well because of the lack of documentations and language barrier. You can do this.
Apple Notes as of today's new updates is useful until the content of a note becomes complex enough that it should be turned into a doc with multiple sections, then I switch to Craft, which provides dropdowns, more doc customization and block text referencing which is more granular than to reference the entire note page.
Wow…you’re definitely a stronger person than me. Don’t know if I have the strength, patience, or time to transfer my notes manually to a single app. Appreciate the comment about interns. Been there, done that, mixed results. One of my main criteria for selecting a single app is the ability to convert to another app should I ever need to do that. As someone else already mentioned, I don’t know if there’s a single handwriting that has all the features I appreciate (e.g. layers, some ability to edit phots in PDF, converting files to other apps “easily”). Best of luck to you and Dr Dan. 👋🏻
Yeah, your combination is a tricky one, lol. Layers are rare to find, in general. But the other ones are typically in most decent PDF editors. Interns be stressing you out! They need more effort than moving notes, lol! 😂
Look at the view counts. It reached over 2.5K in less than 15 hours. You are one of the few pioneers who actually put effort to make MN4 videos in English. The rest are useless scum videos or Chinese speaking videos that nobody can understand.
