Excited you are joining in on Historathon! Love that we have so much overlap with our reading. Romanov is on my pile of possibilities for November too. Ooo, pick up Maisie Dobbs and Orphan Train! Those are two of my favorites.
I hope you love The Four Winds! I read it a few months ago and I learned so much about the Dust Bowl that high school history class did not teach me! I need to read Sold on a Monday as I am a Hoosier! Another local story to Indianapolis was one of the books that re-ignited my love for books.
That is something I love about historical fiction learning about history that I didn't know. I am excited to read that one. Sold On A Monday sounds so good and since that original photo was taken in Indiana I should read that one.
The audiobook of The Lost Year is phenomenal. It has multiple narrators. I hope that you read that one. I'd love to hear your thoughts. So many great books. Thanks for sharing! I thoroughly enjoyed When Twilight Breaks, A Fall of Marigolds and White Bird as well. Did you know that White Bird is now a movie. I am eagerly waiting to see it. It came out either the end of September or beginning of October.
Oh I will have to see if I can find the audio of the book! I have never heard one with multiple narrators. White Bird is a movie? Well that would count as an adaption as well!! Do you have a favorite author? Thank you for watching!
I also love historical fiction! I do like to mix things up so that similar books will not run together in my mind by throwing in middle grade and mystery/thriller.
Historical fiction can be all kinds of other genres too like romance, mystery and middle grade. Maybe that is why I love it so much. Thank you for watching!
I know I put so many books on my TBR, but I love this genre and I want to read all the books! I hope you are still able to read with me. If not just let me know and we can do it another month.
Well I quit working full time so I could read!! LOL actually I did quit working full time a couple of years ago to homeschool my daughter and reading with her got me back into reading. I have been averaging about 8 books a month so sadly I probably won't read all of these books, but the desire is there! Thank you for watching!
@AlmasBookJourney Good for you being able to be home with your daughter . I am lucky to get 1 book a week done while working full time. Can't wait for retirement someday!🥰🥰🥰
@@kimberlymolitor354 While I was working I never had any interest to read anything. Now I think I am playing catch up big time! So many books I want to read now.
I hope you join us! Even just one historical fiction would be fun. Maybe the group read. Have you read any of Kate Quinn's books? This will be my first one.
