@AndersAntonsen_official : it's fine sweetie boy, you still my favorite Danish player. You look so cute while wearing headband, Hope to see you in the next tournament in Paris.
Love from Malaysia. Respect you a lot as a player and as a person☺️🫡. Best of luck in future tournaments. Hopefully the badminton world will appreciate a guy as humble as you🙏🙏
You have to be honest with Antonsen you shouldn't sugar coat it. He didn't do his best and so did a lot of the other players. Look at Shi yuqi, Laksha and loh ken yew.Laksha blew a really huge lead not once but 3 times..
Anders. You had to fight your way back from injury when it was not clear if you would ever get back to the top of the world. You‘ve overcome incredible hardship to get to where you are today. You never gave up and improved a little bit every single day to where you are today. You’ve had an incredible 2024 so far. Realistically, you’ve lost against an All England champion and the other two medalers are the reigning Olympic and world champions. You will get there one day and I’m sure that until that time you will work the hardest and grind your a$$ off as you always do. For that, you are, indeed, my favourite Badminton player. Let’s go!!
Thanks for the update. It is good that you get it off your chest and move on positively. Before you know it, the next Olympics is around the corner. Cheers!
Anders congratulations on reaching the Quarters, I know it's not what you wanted but you're still young and hopefully learn from this. It's kind of a reality check every 4 years to see where you stand, you're in the top 10 of every badminton player in the world when it counted. That's not too shabby. 🥇
No matter how is your Olympic results, remember you have one World Championship silver medal and two bronze medals, you are still one of the best badminton single players in the world
Thanks a lot for the honest summary! That's the brutal reality of sport, and the Olympics in particular, the odds are not in the athlete's favor, and the skill gaps between players are minimal. Great attitude and best of luck for the future. Greetings from Finland.
Thank you for allowing us to follow your preparations and journey through the Olympics. Your dedication and professionalism are truly inspiring. As someone who has chosen an individual sport that captivates and inspires so many, you have shown what it means to be an ambassador for badminton. Your consistent high-level performance over the years is and has been a beacon of motivation for countless younger players. While only professionals can truly understand the highs and lows of winning and missing your own expectations, trust me when I say that your journey means a lot to all of us. I admire your resilience and commitment. All the best with your next challenges. We're all rooting for you! 💪
You're one of the most exciting talents in the tour. You've great shots with hight quality, brilliant game plan and undying fighting spirit. You'll be a great champion. Your path to the pinnacle might be different from others, you just need to continue believing in yourself. The margin of top single players is very narrow. Anyone can be punished for turning up near 100%. LZJ fell short against Kunlavut in the semis. I will continue to support you. I just subscribed to your channel. God Bless and may you have a restful weekend. Lots of love from Malaysia.
Hi anders..i'm from Borneo,Malaysia and this is my first comment..it's ok even if you don't get a medal in the olympics because you've done excellent in every competition.you're one of the best players in the world..don't ever feel sad or disappointed.. win or lose you will always be a great person.. we will always love and support you no matter what❤❤💪💪🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations on getting to the end safely, with no injuries on top of that. Pls believe that you did amazing. I followed all your matches and it's been a ride watching how competitive and fun you were in court. You'll surely bounce back way stronger💪🏻🙌🏻 to more amazing time of yours in court & truly can't wait to see you back in tourneys🙌🏻
Hey Antonsen. You are an incredible player no doubt at all. I'm sure you will do well one tournament after next. You have the heart of a champ. Love from Malaysia ❤
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Indeed, there are more tears of hurt than joy at the Olympics. Looking forward to what comes next for you and us, your audience.
It pains me to see you like this Anders, you played so so well in Paris , genuinely. I loved watching how you moved around on court against Lee zii jia. Even though you lost, we could all see how much work you put in. I believe that you have tons of potential, just keep going , keep pushing until you win. All the best AA, we’re all rooting for you.
Hats off to you A.Antonsen! A good point of view that you shared through the athletic perspective on olympics and your matches are all very exciting to watch. I am from Malaysia and for sure I was thrilled when LZJ won the match, but seeing your sportsmanship and the friendship between you and LZJ are the gem. All the best for your coming match and always know that they are people out there like me who really enjoy to see all your efforts you’ve put on the court! 🫡💪
Interesting point, that most Olympians are disappointed afterwards. It is a pity that only three get rewarded since being an Olympian, and reaching the quarter final, is something most athletes never achieve. I love to watch you play, best of luck in the upcoming tournaments!
Glad to see you are looking ahead. From millions of players there can only be three medalist in every four years. You were top 8. That is amazing. Very eager to see your results in coming tournaments. I bet they are pretty satisfying. Humble wish to see you in Finland Arctic Open at the early October. Keep the spirit up.
Anderssssss i know you can handle it!!!🥺 everything takes time but past is the past and today is today so lets focus for the future. remember you are an amazing player! please don’t lose your confidence, stay healthy, eat delicious food, enjoy your coffee, and take care of yourself💗
Hi Anders, It would be nice to hear about your experience, feelings and tactics before and during the match! It would add more value than just staying general.
Hey AA, any updates on Danish pair Astrup/Rasmussen? A feedback on their recent Olympic participation would be highly anticipated. 😊 Keep up the great work 👍
badmintion is kinda sport that really forces you to move on quickly from disappointment. You have to let go of losses immediately and stay focused on the next point.
Antonsen, you are still one of the best players in the world. I will still rate you higher then LZJ as your record against him and all the top players are much better then him. You are still young and i will rate your chances better than LZJ in LA 2028. You have already achieved a lot for your age and you will bounce back stronger. Your countryman Axelson has done it and you will be the next one to do it. All the best and stay strong.
Anders, hopefully at some point in the future you can run through some more scenarios. For example, you can treat some of your upcoming marches as the Olympic semifinal, Olympic Gold Medal match, Olympic Bronze medal match. Sometimes, I think it's easier in the sport of tennis, because there is so much money on the line in regular tournaments vs the Olympics (Although certain countries reward Olympic Athletes differently). According to internet sources, $768, 000 payouts for Olympic Gold is not a bad motivator, not a bad motivator at all. If we think of regular tournaments in tennis, the payout for winning one of the 4 majors eclipses that of an Olympic payout. (Sometimes, I wonder if that is the reason tennis players underperform at the the Olympics ) However, of course, money isn't everything (but it would help as motivator I'm pretty sure). The future is certainly bright and the best is yet to come for LA 2028. Keep working hard! Keep grinding. Keep having fun at the same time!
I'm indian & can understand your disappointment after seeing own *LAKSHYA SEN* losing to your country man axelsen & again too Lee ZJ making him return empty handed like you after 2 chances
Sen and lzj were true fighters since they had to swallow the pain and get back up and fight again in such a short time, Sen had done his best and it's not easy to lose twice in the same arena.
Honestly, you’ve been improving a lot in 2024 especially with your new 90k metallic, i even considered to buy one hahahaha I’m sure you’ll keep improving until LA2028
1) Do you feel it actually hampered your chances that you weren't really tested before the match vs LZJ, and the fact that you were only on court twice? 2) The playing conditions at the Olympics generally seems to be on the slower side. Is that going to impact the way you will develop your game in the future? 3) Imo Olympics is difficult because you so rarely get the chance to play them. Most likely you have one serious shot left in LA'28. Is this going to affect the way you rank and prioritize your goals in the future? WC'25 is (most liklely) in the same arena as the Olympics. I.e. is it viable for you to be super focused on LA'28 for 1,5 years, or will it make more sense to target WC'26/27 and let's say All England? 4) Are you going to be utilizing more backhand returns on short services😂
As Malaysian it kinda hurts to see two of my favorite players playing against each other so early, and i kinda get it when i saw you and yuqi schedule when both of you got lots of free days which might ruin players form and adaptability. They should've done better with the schedule imo. All in all, good game from you Anders, see you again in Malaysia, champ!!!
Lets be honest, its kinda fair that Malaysia get its only two olympic medals in badminton. Denmark got the gold, plus medals in other events handball, sailing, taekwondo, horse, canoe, cycling and wrestling
You really underperformed i was rooting on you to get a Medal, this Olympics was very underwhelming as almost all the players under performed. Look at Shi yuqi 😅
I hope you get a silver medal in olympic LA antonseen..gold goes for lee zii jia because im from malaysia and badminton is the only chance and hope for malaysia to get gold medal.and for ur infomation malaysia never get gold medal in olympic history...i hope you get medal in next olympic..good luck..dont give up..
You're definitely overthinking this. It's just another tournament. Your opponents are just as motivated, he's simply better on that day, that's all. What would be interesting to the audience is to have you start discussing tactics and techniques, I know of no celebrity Vloggers who do this.
Did you hear what LZJ said after the match to reporter ? He said you did not play as usual .. he feels you really want to win and made many errors . Means you give your self many pressure and made many mistakes . It’s not your best game
