My ONE issue with the Samsung Z Fold 4... 

My ONE issue with the Zed Fold 4 is that I don't have it.

You know, I can agree. It's the only thing that really worries me. Not that I would call it an issue, since it's just the nature of the foldable's at the moment. But It makes me worried when I wipe it, or when I hold it awkwardly, and I always make sure to never hold anything over it while it's open in case I drop it. That being said, you most likely will not be using the inner display when you're outdoors, or just out of the comfort of your home so it's not a terrible thing.

I've owned all 4 versions of the fold. That inner screen is way more secure now than even the first gen was. I work in very dirty conditions, I've dropped it several times. Never had an issue. Just don't be too overly rough with the inner screen and you'll be just fine. It can take a lot of damage. And no... The average person will not have the inside screen go bad. Only those who try to deliberately break it. It's not an egg. Sounds like you're just trying to find a reason not to like it

I'm having fun so far with my Fold 4 so far . I'm a very active guy and I run carrying my Fold in a waist belt ...already ran several times in hard raining days and dust stuck in the hinge can easily be blown away by washing my phone in the sink once or twice a week. So far my Fold 4 is in perfect condition and it is way more resilient they people say. The "plastic" screen is also very strong and it will not be your finger nail that will easily scratch it if you don't inte t to press the screen super hard. My only complaint about this amazing gadget is the weight since I like to carry it when I run and I need a waste belt ... other normal phones were less tick and less heavy so I could carry then in a side pocket of a running shorts without much problem.

FYI, the iPhone was not water/dust resistant until gen 7. Yet nobody was complaining about the durability, and the iPhone 3-6 were big hits. Watch the drop test and jerryrigeverything's durability test if you think the fold is fragile. It is absolutely not.

It's not an egg...I've dropped it a few times with no case on...shit strong. I even took the inner screen protector off...looks even better...but i would just get insurance on it.

The concern makes no sense to me as there are many years of data on reliability for the 3 prior iterations. All the warnings are just some lawyer being over cautious.

It's actually more durable than I thought. I accidentally dropped it a couple of times, and nothing really happened to it, just some 6 nothing noticeable.

i picked up tyhe 1TB model from JB HIFI, im not too concerned about the warning screen, i believe 80% should have no screen issues and plus alot of the issues are in very cold environments (basically below 0)_ when un folding they can crack, donk think we have that issue in Australia. Plus now you can replace the screen protector and when your carrying it around and if you do drop it , its folded so the screen is always protected.

Guess what! I work with a lot of concrete dust, like drilling/ breaking/ assembling stuff... And i still bought the phone, let's see how it will last.

Welp, if you enjoy playing real racing 3 or other game that might "cause" some extra pressure in the inner display with the screen protector, you should imediately see the markings from your (even short) fingernails lol I do have about 30 of those holes already in less than a week of gameplay. But it's the screen protector that get those marks, not the display itself. Fortunately.

My issue is that the price is far too much Samsung need to try and get it down to the 1000 price point and then they will sell absolutely crazy amount of them. I will not pay that much it took me to buy the s21 ultra price when it first came out.

The reason why i gave mine back is because for content creation it doesn't really improve cant post shorts on youtube capcut just a waste with the native aspect ratio, instagram facebook app suck

I love it but to dampen the worry of the folding screen, I've got better insurance on this phone just in case. I honestly don't care if I never have to use it as it'll be easier on the mind

My Z fold has fell in between my bed, my dog has stepped on it, ive accidentally slept on top of it, ive dropped it, and it's still perfect and undamaged. There's a case on it but imagine not putting a case on a $1800 phone.

In all seriousness. This is one reason that I can't always worry about the screen breaking.

Had fold 4 for 3 months dropped it a bunch, had a 13 pro max upgraded to the fold 4 it's absolutely incredible you will never return to a standard device

That is why I won't use a Z Fold 4. I can't get over how fragile that inner display is and I see horror stories of people trying to get Samsung to fix them. I think I'll stick with my iPhone 14 Pro Max until Samsung can make foldables less fragile.
