Especially Air RB is wayy easier than u think atm. Grinding it just by shooting down aircraft is as good/better than bombing bases. A mix ofc is best, but to learn how to fight, u best play low tier and learn energy management etc, for which the grind actually helps u for once (experience can not be bought). bro you barely scratched the surface. My problem with war thunder is that the goal of the game becomes to play less of the actual game. All those premium vehicles, premium accounts and whatnot are all aimed at minimizing your time wasted on the grind. So the game makes itself less fun with grinding SL, vehicle parts, RP, crew stats, daily tasks and all that other stuff and then just offers you a *slightly easier* version of the same nuesance. I found myself not playing to enjoy the gameplay but to do specific things in specific vehicles (that i did not really enjoy) as i was trying to optimize my grind. naturally this brings more irritation on deaths/fails. The game hijacks what really is enjoyable and replaces it with BIG NUMBA BETTER mindset, focusing most of the players attention into the grind, which is not really fun. I have a vehicle i would like to play, why do I have to spend a gorillion hours grinding the worthless garbage infront of it in the tech tree? Like hey, that is a cool jet, bet I can play it after like a year of soul crushing grind, yay! And dont get me started on the lootboxes, bushed, dailies (again) and their events. Any meaningful progress is impossible with the "casual player" timeframe. And there are multiple videos on different mechanics of this game that are taken straight out of casinos, look into it, you will be surprised. Literal addiction study books can be written on war thunder alone. What happened to you with the 1K is unfortunately exactly what Gaijin wants and I am afraid things like this make the bulk revenue for the game so they are not about to signifficantly change any time soon. You got lucku in a sense you got out of it, some people dont. The thing is, if you wasted years/thousands of dollars on the game/already bought a long duration premium account - you are less likely to abandon the game, the sunken cost fallacy, that is how people really get into the war thunder trap and what you were lucky to avoid, with wich I congratulate you. People make lapses of judgement and wrong decisions, its realizing this and acting accordingly that counts. Any game that punishes their players for dying in a pvp game with FFA-like mechanics, which is basically getting punished for playing the game itself, it's just following a recipy for disaster. Also anybody how ever gets to War Thunder, sees their 'Repair Cost' mechanic and then its 'research to purchase / purchase to progress' system, should flee immediately by just having a speck of common sense. It's a game filled with predatory business practices. It's a giant red flag from every point besides it's pretty graphics and semi-realistic gameplay.

This ties in with your future commentary where you say majority of the playerbase is bad and that kills dont reward you much, that is because if you paid attention, you would have lived longer and gotten more kills. 4:14 thats quite a statement to say that the USSR has the strongest tanks from start to end of the line .. 4:36 your barell is fixed but you do not shoot the enemy abrams until a few seconds later despite aiming at the same spot for quite some time (4:40), which could have saved your teammate from being shot just a second earlier 6:00 you remove all your HE-VT ammo (i think you maybe want have less of a chance of detonating when being hit?) despite all the ammo being in an autoloader which is is in the same place so it wont actually save you at all. And you are lowering your ammo and useful ammunition which will be useful a few seconds later in the video. 6:12 you start targetting a plane, but since you have no HE-VT which you have removed a few seconds earlier, you wont hit said plane. why did you remove the he-vt in the first place? 7:01 "if you want the shiny modern vehicles which are promised in the advertisements you will have to grind for them" this would be a fine statement if War Thunder was the only game with modern vehicles. Only experience playing will. 9:27 "please share your opinion" Yes, thank you i will, you ask nicely unlike other youtubers. 11:40 you LRF this tank going in a straight line and miss, okay, maybe just unlucky as it went down, but a few sec later at 11:53 you shoot at another tank, where you still have the range setup from the rangefinder which makes you aim perfectly for the distance you set, yet after analyzing the video frame by frame, you are still aiming slightly above the tank, so it wouldnt hit even if enemy was stationary. you need to aim directly at the enemy after you laser rangefind. thats the whole point of it. 12:38 "you can have literal aircraft from vietnam war from 60 and 70s fight against 4th gen air superiority fighter" this would be a fine point if the only aircraft that were in vietnam war were jets FROM the 60s and 70s, but there are planes designed in 1940s that also fought in vietnam war, such as the AD-2 (BR 5.7) , AD4 (BR 6.0) that can fight 4.7 planes such as Bf109 G6 that went into production in 1942. Does that mean we should increase AD-2/4 BR to 8.0 to match its era? No. The reason some vietnam war aircraft can face 4th gen fighters, is because it was mostly CAS and multirole planes who took part in the vietnam war, they are good ground attackers but not good enough fighters. They are meant for ground attack not air superiority, thats why they die to air superiority fighters as you say.

You have the entire time to scout him,and possible get a reward for it, but you dont. Then last second you scout him but die because you are in a light tank and you cant penetrate him at all. You could have gone away and try to flank him so he is diverted whether to aim his armour to the front or to the side, so you can overpower him by being on his flank but you decide to sit with a weak gun facingg the strongest part of the armour. I played War Thunder right as tanks were coming out back in 2014. Was a Beta-Tester for American, British and Japanese Ground Forces as well as Naval, and can safely say you're spot on. War Thunder is so much less of a game and more of a unholy money and data farming pit back than it was then. *It doesn't have a soul anymore and the world around it has changed to.* Operation SUFFER for the IS7 really took the veil of my eyes but I never truly stopped playing after the Ukraine War started (due to part of their profits going to fund pro-Russian militias - look it up), and the whole game-economy fiasco of a year or two ago. And that's not even bring up cheaters, physics, balance, armor penetration physics, or any of the other questionable things, mechanics or features that the game has to "offer." Occasionally I get the urge to play but I can just watch someone else suffer through a match instead - and myself, my wallet, and my time thank them for it. I really hope this game gets better, for those who choose to still play.

I signed up to wt in 2013, and from 2014 I played consistently all the way up to august 2023 and racked up only 4000 hours, yes I played in moderation, but regardless, I spent around 2000 USD on my account in total, so again, pretty moderate numbers, in August 2023, I quit and haven't touched it since, and man, suddenly my valuable time afterwork is now spent on so many different other worthwhile games, people who try to gaslight or flame you for dissing or exposing wt are just zombie whales addicts who are an utter lost cause.
$2000 is moderate? Seriously, this civilisation has to collapse. You can get a premium triple-A game for less than $75, which means you could have bought over thirty top-class games just for the amount of money you wasted on WT. And I'm not taking into account the fact that if you're prepared to wait a few months after a game's release, you'll get it with a discount of 30% or more. I would have to be stark raving mad to spend $2000 on an online game. I've played WT (much less than you), WoT and WoWS for about 10 years and I bought ONE historical premium ship in WoWS for $20 or so.

it doesn't really fix it, since the enemy plane is still considered alive after the severe damage even if they are clearly unable to fly, so kill stealing is much easier

Its actually irrelevant now (ksing) since you get 80% of the ''reward'' for the kill when you do the severe dmg and the 20% upon kill if someone ''kills'' the target both players get credited with a kill on the scoreboard and get the 20% of the reward but only the original shooter get 100%. Also who are you to judge if a plane is able to fly or not 2 days ago i nursed my F-8U back to af and landed with a wing missing.

I'm an Old Guard in the game. Cromulus, I have always had 0 premiums and have never had premium time lol. I'll admit I'm old, have horrible reflexes, and play arcade for fun. BUT the grind is brutal. 25k rp from getting a fox and finally getting a tier 5 tank for the Heli. I do have T5 British blue water. That is fun lol, they just need to do something with the British shells. The AP after pen explosion is WAY under what it should be right now. Dreadnaught is fun to bring out though
I will attempt at not writing a book here LOL... I started playing this game in 2018 specifically for the B-17, Tanks and Naval PVP. Here we are all these years later I barely ever turn the game on any more. This game has evolved into a version of Call Of Duty on vehicles, with pointless game play on extremely small maps that to be frankly honest with you I never agreed to play. The game was not like this when I started and there is a lot more people that have been around 8 years longer then me that did not agree to play this version of the game either! Like you, I will not go into a lot of depth about Naval. However the long of the short is the Devs can not figure out how to turn Naval Into a knockoff version of Call Of Duty without it becoming something fake like World of Warships. Because of that it goes year after year neglected, Which in return makes the Naval Mains leave the game completely. I have never had an interest in fighter planes even though Gaijin clearly has a soft spot for them in every way! As for Bombers of any kind, in any country the developers have gone out of their way to ruin them and any game play they may have. They have long ago abandoned Air RBEC for what is in place today and the only place you can halfass fly a bomber or cas plane is in Air Sim EC. But, lets be honest that isn't really good either because the airplanes damage models are ruined and you have absolutely useless crews. This was done by Gaijin many years ago to appease dogfighters who could not kill a B-17 in one pass like they do today🤷♂ I held out for a long time hoping one day they would update Simulator battles, add Submarines to Naval, fix the maps and Update Naval Sim EC. But, unfortunately with the latest updates to missile thunder and the way the game is played in general that was what drove the nail in coffin for me, so to speak. Maybe its the way the code is written with the amount of vehicles in game that limits their ability to change the game, Or maybe they ruined their game trying to please everyone, but in return they pleased no one. Heck, for all I all I know maybe the goal was always to create a Call Of Duty, copy cat game to attract more people for money, I am not entirely sure. Either way I still have my account and I watch Content Creators hoping to see change one day, but I never turn this game any more. There is too many games out here with actual point, realism and purpose to be spinning wheels in Call Of War Thunder for the next shiny hunk of unplayable junk.
I first got an account in 2013. I agree with all your points. The game was simplistic from the beginning and rather than make it more sophisticated the developers followed the FarmVille [tm] model, just adding more bling and eye candy. The original game engine from over a decade ago struggles mightily having been pushed far beyond its original purpose. Over the years a new generation of younger players has come to the game having cut their teeth on COD and Counter Strike where nano second twitch responses is everything. These players bring this play style to the game, not the other way around. The other point not discussed is cheats. The game is currently suffering from high numbers of them again and the developers seem to have given up after paying lip service to anti cheat software. Another point I’d like to mention is the influence of company sponsored ‘Content Creators’ who portray the game unrealistically. These big channels show themselves getting huge numbers of kills with apparent ease as they spruik the game. Only later do you find out it’s often on non public servers, using cheats and literally thousands of real world dollars in digital credits worth of special content etc etc. After all these years I have never progressed further than BR 6.7 in ground realistic (my fave) because the in game costs are beyond the ability of a free account to sustain and more costly in real world currency than my modest gaming budget allows. Which brings me to another observation: the change in gaming from an amusement to a deadly serious lifestyle choice where folk now devote LARGE amounts of their disposable income and free time to maintaining a fantasy superiority in online video games. As my son grew up and got involved I taught him to keep a level head about these things. If I die to a Pay2Win[TM] player I don’t take it personally, it’s just part of the annoyances of online gaming. When I speak to ‘dedicated’ WarThunder players in chat and they are telling me they spend thousands and thousands of dollars on the game two things occur to me: 1. I can never compete with that and 2. There is little incentive for the company to do better as the rivers of gold flow to them. My WT handle is dAd_ and I enjoy getting ‘Rank does not matter’ awards in most matches using grossly under tiered vehicles just for the lark 🤣

700-900 (little unsure) of those hours were in the first 6 months, after that i just stopped playing wt as often and the last few hundred i got over that time
Ok not to be harsh, but this video sounds to me like. 1. The game devs should work for free so people don't have to buy Premium time? 2. It takes to long too grind, but if one skips the grind one lacks the skills to compete with people who have done the grind. 3. Balancing is an issue (tbh fair but that's hard to get right in any game), but if a new player buys a premium they should be able to compete with people who have for more skill and more importantly in warthunder experience, but then when said better players get the same premium? 4. Some people don't like top teir, but they aren't forced to play it, I have top teir jets, I like early jets and props. 5. ALSO DID YOU SET FRIENDLIES TO RED!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! 6. Tha the game should teach you advanced tactics (that change with META) so you don't have to go on youtube and watch amazing creaters like defyn. I don't know what to say this attitude seems all wrong for any game, ye WT has huge monetisation and balance issues, but not in ways you pointed out. If you play a game to grind I'd argue unless it is your job you're playing it for the wrong reasons, work is for grinding. Maybe play the game to enjoy it, at BR's you enjoy for the sake of enjoying it, and accept that if you're bad you need to learn and there will always be better players.
I personally think the F-104 isn't so bad at 9.3. Sure, it's fast, but most people don't seem to understand how to use it, try to go into a dogfight, and immediately get slaughtered once a more talented player gets a shot on them. No, the bane of my existance at 9.3 are the MiG-21s. They have similar performance to the F-104 speedwise, except they can dogfight, and they get much, MUCH better missiles. The R-3R for instance, it's radar guided with a range of 8 kilometers. A capable MiG-21 pilot can snipe you from high altitude without you having much in the way of ability to oppose it. To add insult to injury, Sweden really sucks at this tier. While they do get good enough planes, you don't get anything better than AIM-9Bs until 10.0, which is also where you first get flares, so with a lot of more advanced missiles like AIM-9Gs and Ls (yes, you encounter both on 9.3), sometimes you get lucky and dodge them, but most of the time, you needn't even try.
I have always steered clear of warthinder because "free to play" pretty much always means "most expensive game you ever played". I don't care how good or bad the game is. Nothing is ever free, and anybody pretending that what they are offering is free is definitely trying to scam you.
The entire thing about sim and realistic giving you higher rewards is only partially true. While it is true that, on a kill by kill basis, realistic and sim do give you higher rewards, this doesn't mean it's better for grinding. Sim and realistic battles also last a whole lot longer, so if your average battle in realistic gives you 1.5 times what you get in arcade, but you also get 2 battles done in arcade in the time it takes you to play one realistic battle, you will be grinding a lot faster in arcade.

Part of the issue of the average player sucking at the game is that War Thunder does not want them to know how to play. They want players to get frustrated so they buy stuff to make it go faster. So what if the average player quits after a month? So long as they buy a high tier premium before that, Gaijin doesn't care, they got their money.
My experience might be weird since I genuinely have fun in Ground RB and Air Sim. Altho I'm part of the minority that plays Naval somewhat often. If I have a bad string of matches in Grb I just hop on top tier Sim to base/airfield bomb since its relatively relaxing if the map is large enough
The only way to have fun in WT is to find the part of the game you like and play it. Stop worrying about grind, and top tier. It’s all a sweaty “who can click faster” competition. I play 1.0-8.7 exclusively, with most of my time in 3.3-7.0. It’s fun, it requires skill, but is still forgiving at times. I don’t waste my time on the RIDICULOUS high tier grind.
You have a good point but im not doing that personally because i only care about wt for the jets, thats what was advertised to me and i havent changed my mind about it. Ofc i still enjoy most brs but high tier is what i care about
Nah dont listen to the haters half of its cope. We all get tired of games we played so many hours. Iwas playing wt since 2014 on school computers. I def loved the old school wt but like u said the grind gets too intense and you gotta pay or spend hours a day grinding
I don't even know how to "grind" for the Iranian F14 (the event vehicle), nor do I know how to operate half the game. Gaijin doesn't have the best information, or make it easy for a console player to navigate so much. I just play to have fun, and have no intentions of paying the snail for ANYTHING, including premiums or GE. Premium account? Nope. I come from the days when you bought a game, and that was the end of it. I'm not playing their rental system.
Getting the f14 is dependent on match score, basically the number in the scoreboard on each match, you can check progress in achievements>pages of history>Persian tomcat>tasks You basically just have to play the game enough to get 45k points every two days And I totally feel you on not paying for things, I personally only get premium just so the grind is more bearable, but have never bought anything besides that, and once I hit US top tier there's a good chance I stop because I'll be good on SL from there on out.

Their jets suck in game because their jets suck irl. China and Israel get their vehicles from other countries in game because they get their vehicles from other countries irl. That means that if nobody spends money then Gaijin makes no money off this game. It *must* be structured to allow free play but encourage payed features. How are you shocked by this? I would have to agree with people critiquing you here more than I agree with you. You have not truly experienced the game if you check out your War Thunder Player card. Many of the critiques of the game you have, would require you to experience them. However, your player card would say you have no idea what is happening below top tier. You say your opinions are of your own and you came to these conclusions yourself, but based on your player card this is just a straight up lie. You have 5700 RB battles in game but about 3000 of your battles are in premium vehicles at top tier (the rest are top tier USA tech vehicles you got via premiums). Your experience is so narrow in this game you only have 38 vehicles over 20 battles!! You talk about Japan being an easy nation like you have experience because these are your own thoughts, right? But you have only 9 Japanese planes with a total 42 battles and a majority of those are at Rank 2. The fact that you commented on this sounding like an expert or having knowledge is just being a fraud, and 3k people have watched this video. Your only experience is in premium fighters and premium T72 Turms. You don't play bombers, attackers, you have never played a "crappy" plane. You have barely touched Lower and Middle BRs, the fact that you give your opinion on them is being disingenuous to your audience. You have never felt the compression of the BRs, you never played a plane that has no flares vs an R60. You forget that Mirage F1C-200 has chaff and you can notch the AIM 54, you could also change direction and run the missile out of energy. This would probably help you die a lot less until Gaijin decides to up BR of the Tomcats in a few months when they go through all the 2,000 vehicles they have to look at and balance. Your lack of experience and only listening to reddit and other RU-vidrs complain really shows. I hope no one listens to your opinion on these topics due to your lack of experience. I only feel bad that you spent so much money on a video game that you barely experienced and bought your way to the top. Give your dad back the debit card and play the game it was meant to be played by going through the tech trees, or just stop playing and play something else.
12:27 dude this is an insanely good and detailed game just because people have to spend a lot of time in it to get more modern vehicles doesn't mean the game is "horrible" in fact I first started playing this game because of the ww2 vehicles and I absolutely loved grinding to get those vehicles and I will admit after 2100 hours it gets a bit stale grinding for another top tier vehicle but if people only play the game to get a top tier vehicle then they should just suck it up and grind for it or just be happy with the 3.3 to 7.7 br range which is my 2nd favorite br to play besides top tier which once I got better at the game I started to enjoy a lot, War thunder is free and granted people should keep them in check so the grind doesn't get any worse but there is no need for this game to get so much hate because it takes a lot of time to reach top tier, just enjoy the game. (I just want to say I don't at all mean to be rude to you but telling people to not play War Thunder at the end of your video was just a bit uncalled for, War Thunder is 100% worth playing, I spent a good portion of my play time just in WW2 tanks and once I realized I was never truly going to stop playing War Thunder because there is no game like it, I decided I would buy a premium to save myself some time and I only regret buying the A10 premium everything else I would say was worth it considering most people spend that much when they go out to eat).
Dude, you don't gave to glaze the snail so hard. Like, I love wt, it's fun when you ignore the grind and just focus at having fun where you can (WW2 Props in Arcade is goated and I wont hear otherwise), but the reality of the matter is that the grind is astoundingly horrible, and it doesn't need to be this way, nor does it have any excuse. Take it from someone who has played off and on since 2014, this game is the best of it's kind where it shines, and is also unforgivably shit where it doesn't. You can sit here with a 'If I had to suffer, then everyone else has to as well' style mentality, or you can be honest with yourself, recognize the games egregious faults, and maybe drum up enough of a stir that things get better for everyone with the rest of us who are tired of the snail trying to milk the fans for every penny they can
@@PerishingPurplePulsar people can have plenty of fun playing the game without top tier and yes War Thunder has flaws but so does literally everything else and the grind is just their way of getting people to spend money if I paid for the game I would have wanted the grind to be much shorter but I didn't pay for it and it gave me 500 hours of free to play fun only after that did I start spending money and I don't regret it, if people want top tier so much they must get a premium or a squadron vehicle which as long as they are playing the game they will get but that is one thing I think should change, squadron vehicles should be easier to get kind of like a demo of top tier.

People would still spend money if the grind was manageable, and Gaijin can certainly take a hit to their profit margins and still be well in the green regardless. Cool story, I play f2p because I don't have the budget to spend on something like a f2p game now that I'm an adult with rent, bills and other shit to pay for, all in all I've dropped maybe $60 into this game total, back when I first started and was just blowing birthday money on whatever, I intimately know the grind, how it used to be, and what it's like now. It is not okay, and it should be fixed. The ability to have fun doesn't wipe away the flaws a game has, and this game has some major, unforgivable, and easily repairabke flaws, and if you can't recognize that, I'm not going to be able to make you understand, but I do have a pyramid scheme to sell you
War-thunder is not a free game above 6.7. I have literally never played a game where you can slide backwards as quickly as WT while being completely F2P, and I don't plan to.
just get premium , waiting on a sale to come so i can get a years worth for cheap . wastes a ridiculous amount of time not having it , its not the kind of game you can just finish and than redo on multiple accounts for fun . if you do that than you probably have too much time on your hands and play for like 6+ hours a day . If you value your time and read this and enjoy warthunder get premium save yourself your time and sanity. or better yet play a different game altogether this game sucks .
War thunder does not "suck" it is extremely detailed and does not deserve this much hate just because people have a hissy fit that they cant get top tier without spending a lot of time and some money, people must just enjoy low br if they don't want to grind.
@@Morale72 cmon please, at lowest BR (1-3) you have to play every match with and against players with thousands of hours because they find higher BR too sweaty while slaughtering noobs at lower BR is ironically that same enjoyment they're running from. No I'm not talking of someone leveling up their lower tanks, they have many medals in that same country, hard to believe all these people missed to upgrade their T26 lol.
@@Blockhead2 then you just have to unlock a higher BR I recommend grind for a 7.7 tank which if you enjoy war thunder you can unlock without spending money. ( I got 8.0 without spending money, so you can get to mid tier free to play)
You abused by playing it too much and that’s why you aren’t enjoying it. I had the game since 2013, and played on and off over many years and still enjoy it to this day. Am top tier in 4 air trees and only have 1 premium plane after many years.
Just buy a premium vehicle for SL farm (i recommend uss moffett) and enjoy the process. Im at 9.0 br on ground, around 6kk sl and im enjoying the game, most of times
After watching this video and looking at your stat card I don't think you know enough about War Thunder to properly criticize the game, despite having 1200 hours. Most of your criticism of this game are just straight from the war thunder reddit, but you don't really understand them since you have haven't really played the game in your 1200 hours, at least that is how it seems. It just seems like you are a gaming addict, not really War Thunder player. It is crazy to play a game for 1200 hours in just a year and also spend hundreds/thousands of dollars while doing that, and have it all be for nothing because you haven't even given yourself the opportunity to develop any skill

You talk about low and mid BRs, as well as nations you've never played, so you are getting your critiques from other parts of the community, not your own experiences.
@@Frogg-YT while i agree with some patches adding bad things ,i also think they fix a lot of the issues down the line, drones and nigth matches was fixed. And there is ways to deal with MOST situations if you make lineups and dont just yolo down the line like a lemming pleeb with no patience who buys 1-2 prems and runs those only. So if you invest time you can have a ton of fun.
War Thunder is no long fun, because if you can do something well or you have fun, gaijin will go and nerf it or change it!! That because fun doesn't generate as much money as when player is frustrated!
You can play war thunder f2p premium but it takes a lot of time and dedication. As long as you play on the correct platform aka PC you can earn GJN coin and but prem time or packs/vics with it.
extremely grindy games like war thunder aren't fun, if I could play it single player against bots with all the vehicles unlocked, it would be fun, but this is just a waste of time to play
Man as a player with 2650 hours in the game im telling you your opinions will change. As you learn the mechanics and vehicles more and more the game makes more and more sense. I hated how long the grind took before i got to top tier. I ground usa relentlessly until i finally had all every usa tank and plane. Having been to top tier in 3 nations now, I 100% think the length of the grind is a good thing. It makes you learn the game as new mechanics are added as you move up the tech trees. They should not let new players buy a top tier premium tank and play top tier. It ruins games for everyone else. USA right now is by far and away the worse nation in the game because of the new players that come in with one tank and no idea how to play. On any given game, you can look at the team that has usa and half the team is back to the lobby in 3-4 minutes. I listened to your whole pitch thinking maybe you had something but the longer i listened the more im convinced that you just dont know how to play. War thunder has its issues. Its not perfect. But it is fun. Lots of fun
thr grind in the later tiers as a f2p is absolutely dreadful, don get me wrong I am glad complete noobs have to work to get to top tier, (except for premiums) but I have 3500 hours, and I havent completed even 1 tech tree, the closest is ground germany (10.0) next is G USA (7.7) G USSR (6.7) and in air I have Germany (7.3) US (6.7) USSR (4.3)
Man I really am grateful for realizing how devious, demonic Gaijin is early on. When I started playing war thunder (9-10 months ago) I was ACTUALLY enjoying this. I started with Germany since I pretty much love all the Tanks that Nation had. It was going nice, Panzer IIIs, Tigers, Panthers yeah? But I started to get annoyed when I started to get Uptiers with Tiger II, I knew stuff wasn't gonna be good. Because, I was playing really good, getting 7-12 kills consistently. But when my ass gets uptiered, I almost can't do anything and end up getting 3-4 kills and on 8th place. When I got M48A2 C and the Leopard I, I started playing like utter GARBAGE. Me being top 1 with tigers now was getting sniped by a guy a Kilometer away with the Ardennes forest on his ass. Matchmaking is so broken for me that I just went back to 6.0-7.0 To have actual fun. I once looked at the leaderboard when I was playing with Leopard I and I realized I was the ONLY level 20 guy in the match. Everyone else were Level 100 gods that probably didn't have any purpose than to play War Thunder. I don't get why my Level 20 ass gets matched up to 100 gods that have all the game on their minds. I currently have ~170 hours and probably intend to quit and never come back. I probably can't since there is no game like war thunder.
Wt matchmaking really should expand more. Rn as far as im aware, there is no skill based matchmaking which is really unfortunate especially for new players who have to fight some guy who has played for years
Bro you get level 100 people in every matchmaking bracket. It doesn't really matter what BR. What I suspect is that you're struggling with switching from APHE to APDS/APCR and HEAT ammo. Since these have no filler, you have to be way more mindful of where you shoot enemies. You can't just mindlessly shoot somewhere and just splash the entire crew. Also APCR and APDS can be wildly inconsistent sometimes, especially with post-pen damage
@@sjoerdbrouwer9822 I'm perfectly fine with the new no explosive filler rounds. I carefully placed my shot even when I was playing with APHE so It wasn't really a change to me. What I'm mad about is that there are people that do nothing rather than playing war thunder. Theese people just play like their life depends on it. They have all theese bushes and see me from Miles away While I try to enjoy the game. They play way too good for me.

Gaijin is not at fault for the BR issue, Its 100% the PLAYERS. The players make the BRs because Gaijin bases changes on Plane efficiency/ Win %. F5 going up makes 100% sense because the FM is cracked and hand holds bad players. J7E stayed because not many players have it compared to F5E ect, same for FCU since its brand new. Player size is not the issue, its the small maps compared to RADAR range and Weapon range. Smaller player sizes only Benefits Good players. Stop Parroting bad actors. A Small test for literally a week is no evidence. This is why Gaijin would not add it. MAW is useless. IFF does not work so it just always goes off and people ignore it or turn audio off. Multi pathing has been stated to be Exaggerated and it hurt gampeplay. Fur balls 100% of the time. F14 has never been hard to kill if you have a brain. Aim54 is the easiest Fox 3 to break lock. I have not had Premium in over 3 years and have had zero issue grinding. It is easier than ever to play F2P, SL flows like water, more ways to get XP in Air with more ground targets, AI, ect. 16 players too. Ie, you dont know what you are talking about. Hence the 50% wn8.
First: Its a friggin' game. You don't like it, don't play it. Second: With all its flaws, this game is unbelievable on so many levels. And that is part of its flaw: It is so good; the community expects performance beyond what they have. Third: Can it be better? Sure. But Gaijin is not sitting on its hands. Watch and see how many changelogs are published every week, sometimes every day. For me, I am good with the game.
