It is wonderful that you share your experience. It will help many others that may go through this too. I am 52 years old. I had an ovarian tumor removed during my high school years and another returned during my college years. I was put on birth control to surpass that one and it worked. I always had a concern I would not have children, however I have four healthy children, lost a child during one of my pregnancies. During my fourth child, my daughter Jessie, I had a uterus tumor growing next to her and I had to have it removed while I was still pregnant. I never considered sharing these types of stories on my channel because they all happened years ago. I do share current health journeys, but I guess I should share about my past too. RU-vid is such a wonderful resource for others looking for support from others having the same trials.

My 16 year old daughter just had her right ovary and tube removed. We’ve been trying for over a year to find out what’s wrong with her. All the while her belly grew to the size of a full term baby. We were referred to the GI team and after a zero result colonoscopy and endoscopy they scheduled and MRI. Mind you she had an iud put in and was in IMMENSE pain during the procedure. I hoped it was bc she was just sensitive and yet her gynecologist missed this tumor. Her regular doctor performed an abdominal exam and he missed it. For over a year the doctors that in my opinion should have caught it based on her having all the key symptoms of a tumor missed it. The oncologist says she has a good chance of not having it recur but I am so worried. Her biopsy results said the tumor demonstrates background features of mucinous cystadenoma but has areas of complex papillary architecture lined by bland mucinous cells present in more than 10% consistent with mucinous borderline tumor. No atypia or evidence for carcinoma. She had 10 liters of fluid in her belly and her tumor was 17cm large. Her lymph nodes were negative and her omentum was clear. I pray she will be fine for the rest of her hopefully long life but I am so worried. We’re still waiting for the referral to the genetic counseling team but have yet to hear anything. How can this happen to a 15 year old who isn’t sexually active? How are you doing today?

My daughter was diagnosed with a borderline , low malignant potential ovarian tumor ( mucinous type) 5 years ago. The tumor weighed over 8 lbs.. She lost all of one ovary and a Fallopian tube and a part of the second ovary. She was given a poor prognosis for having children. She has had no recurrence in 5 years and is the mother of two sons. She did not have chemo.

I just got told that I also have a tumour on my ovary and they're gonna take it on Wednesday and I'm devastated - thank you for sharing your story 🌺

How was your blood work? My hcg (pregnancy hormone) is elevated. All other blood work is fine. They thought it was from my miscarriage but they found the mass via ultrasound. I’m so scared

I was also diagnosed with borderline ovarian tumor (mucinous, stage 3) and mine was 36cm with 9 liters of fluid. I was told to have chemotherapy but haven't got to it yet.
