I came here looking for a video to explain the problem to my wife, who was pretty spooked by arcing in oven. This channel is great! It's a good thing you're doing. My dad was an alcoholic and in jail often. I had to learn everything the hard way as an adult. I wish this type of channel existed when i was a kid. Bravo!
Any idea why a replacement element would burn out two different times? Just had my 2nd element ordered from Amazon blow out just after a few days. It takes at least 2 weeks for the parts to come in so I've been without an oven for a month now! The electrical connections in the back look just fine and even wrapped each connector in electrical tape the last time. Do you think it's just bad replacement parts or do I need a new oven? Thanks step dad, I subscribed and gave a thumbs up!
There could be a different problem other than the element. If you’ve got another one in order, try it. If it does the same thing then there’s probably a different issue that would be beyond what I would know how to diagnose. You could try an appliance repair shop. If it’s an older appliance, maybe it’s time to get a new one. Good luck and thanks for subscribing!
It should be safe enough. They are different circuits and controls in the appliance. If you wanted you could remove the oven heating element to make sure. Just be certain the two lead wires that connect with the element are not or cannot come near each other while you’re waiting for the replacement element.
@@MyStepdad I completed replacing the element today and I wanted to say thank you for your video. It was a big help to be as I’m not very handy around the house so it was quite the accomplishment. I am grateful 🙏🏽
