Greetings from City Lights Recording Studio New Jersey!!! We love all of them, but we vote RAM as our favorite! And it looks like you do too! You’ve got two of them. Keep up with the FAB videos! Jersey loves ya!!!
Nice collection! I love Band On The Run, Tug Of War, Give My Regards To Broad Street, Flaming Pie, and McCartney III because they're all enjoyable records from start to finish. Plus, you have a beautiful smile!
Aww, thank you! :-) I really look forward to listening to those two! You guys are convincing me that I need to go get Red Rose Speedway-it’s the only one that our local record store has, haha. Thanks so much!
It took a few years (quite a few years) before Ram got the love that it deserves, I feel that a listener can close their eyes while listening to it and hear the Beatleness (not a real word) of it. Dear Friend from Wile Life is very underrated, very potent lyrics and lastly I wished the Beatle’s as a group would have recorded "Maybe I’m Amaze"
@@DavesTVZoneI agree! Ram does have a Beatlesque (also not a word, haha) sound to it. It’s definitely one of my favorites, as is Dear Friend. Thanks so much for watching, my friend! :-)
Thanks so much! :-) Band on the Run is classic, and such a great album! There's so many of his hits on it (and of course the lesser known songs like Mamunia, too)!
Hi Katie you’ve got a great collection of Paul McCartney records, I’ve got most of these. Your 45 of Uncle Albert/Too many People is a really strong single its almost like a double a side. I’ve really got to appreciate Paul more over the last few years he’s probably my favourite Beatle now 😊. I notice that you didn’t have Egypt Station I really like that one it would probably make my to 5 Paul albums. You should do a ranking video of Paul albums lots of RU-vid hosts do these. My top 5 Mac albums are 1) Band on the Run - the most Beatle sounding album by a ex Beatle 2) Ram - so different from other Paul Albums 3) McCartney - like the rawness and simplicity of this I feel it’s from the heart 4) Tug of War - really good, really like the song about John and the title track 5) today’s it’s Egypt Station but on another day it could be London Town or Flaming Pie.
Aww, thank you so much! I really appreciate it! :-) And yes, I should definitely pick up Egypt Station on vinyl-it is a great album! Also, I really like your idea of ranking his albums as a video, so hopefully that’ll be something I do in the future! Thanks for sharing your favorites, and thanks for watching as well! 👍
Hi Katie, I love your enthusiasm and McCartney collection. I was 12 years old when McCartney was released in 1970 and have followed and collected Paul and the others to this day. Most of the albums you like I like too. I remember when Venus and Mars were released in 1975. It was so exciting, and they were playing it on the radio-great memories! Love Mull of Kintyre! Anyway, please keep making more videos for us to see! You are an amazing young lady!
Aww, thank you so much! That means a lot, wow! 😊 I love that you’ve followed his work since you were so young-it’s very sweet! It’s amazing, too that his music seems to transcend time so well-it’s like a bit of magic, isn’t it? :-D Thanks for watching, my friend!
The track called : "The Long & Winding Road" in "McCartney's" soundtrack album called : "Give My Regards To Broad Street", its arrangement is impecable, excellent. The saxophone and the Bass are phenomenal. "No More Lonely Nights" also is memorable. "Gilmour's" line electric guitar makes me shiver and causes me adrenaline until today!
Thank you for sharing both your Beatles and McCartney record.collections. I have been collecting every possible Beatles and solo Beatles album for 40 years but you have gathered a nice collection of music in a relative short period of time. Can hardly wait for the release of the new Beatles song, "Now And Then". We love the Beatles, yeah, yeah, yeah!!! David
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! :-) Yes, I’m with you, the new song is going to be great-the only problem is waiting for it to come out! 😂 Thanks for watching, my friend!
This 1973's album called : "Band On The Run" is my favourite. Its sound is clean, definitive and with wonderful arrangements beyond the lyrics are totally well created! How I love this "Wings Album". And congratulations for your collection and also for yourself 'cause you're so cute and charming!
Nice channel! I’m impressed by your musical performances - and also slightly envious that you seem to have a few more McCartney albums to discover and explore 👍
Aww, thank you so much! That really does mean a lot to me! :-) Haha, yes, every time I think I’ve heard every song he’s written I’m proven wrong (which is a great thing, of course)! Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed both of your videos. I'm a first generation Beatles fan and it's really heartwarming to see a young person like you appreciating the Beatles and Paul, in particular. I agree with your favorite Paul solo albums; they are among my favorites as well. I hope you keep collecting the Beatles and keep doing many more videos in the future. Great job!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! :-) The first McCartney album is amazing! You can really tell Paul wasn’t afraid to experiment a bit with it. 😄
It might be obscure but I loved So Bad immediately. Have you ever seen the singer songwriter Aldous Harding talking about Little Pigeon? Our affinities with songs grow and grow.
Nice record collection. Ram is also one of my favorites. I bought his albums as they were being released except for the newer ones. I saw Wings over America concert for $12 back in the ‘70’s. Happy to see you’re a Paul McCartney fan. Your videos are fun to watch. Keep up the good work
Katie- You're doing a great job adding to your collection. i didn't even know that McCartney '45 Record Store day issue even existed ! i NEED that for my collection. Nice collection of colored vinyl too. Keep collecting and keep the videos coming !
It is great! So many classics are on it! :-) I also love the story behind the making of it. You know, the tapes getting stolen and all the drama that came with recording in Lagos. It’s very interesting!
Ram is my all time favourite PMc album too - and like you, I have 2 vinyl copies! And like you, it’s closely followed by Back To The Egg (I hope you are able to find the correct sleeve for your copy soon!)
WHOA GIRL! You don't Miss a Beat on this Collection do YA? McCartney 1, through LONDON Town ,Was Essentially the Sound track of my Grade School years! Love all of Sir Paul's Work! But of all His MCCARTNEY LP'S , One through Three. MCCARTNEY Two was My Favorite! And my Favorite song from M2 is , No Body knows! And I Liked his movie 🎥 Too! No Shame in that Dear! 😁
Aww, thank you so much! :-) All of Paul’s music is hard to beat, I’m with you! Haha, and I’m glad I’m not the only one who liked the movie! It’s rather entertaining, if you ask me! 😂 Thanks for watching, my friend!
Just watching this in London England..You are soo sweet ( and have great taste in music of course) I'm a mutual Macca maniac .Beatles too.. a lovely and very genuine and natural piece..rare these days...❤ Keep it up! Would love to hear the next chapter ...Fin x
Aww, from London? That’s so lovely! London is my dream place to visit (right beside Liverpool, of course!). 🇬🇧 Thank you so much, that’s extremely kind of you! 😊
Hey Katie-I've been a Paul McCartney and Beatles fan forever. I bought Flaming Pie on vinyl when it was released but apparently didn't give it the attention it deserved because I only recently discovered the song Somedays...which I now consider one of Paul's best songs ever! There's also an instrumental version from his album Working Classical.
Ooh, I agree with you-Somedays is a wonderful song! And I’m so happy you mentioned the Working Classical album, because I feel like no one knows about it, really! Thanks for watching, my friend! :-)
@@jonmur77Yes, it’s incredible! I didn’t really appreciate Somedays until I heard the classical version-then I realized what a perfectly-constructed song it is! :-)
Love your collection and your great taste in music. Back to the Egg and London Town are often considered "lesser" Wings albums, but I think they're two of the best. I wish I knew about you sooner -- I recently gave some of my PM records to a friend, as I listen mainly on CD now. When Ram was released, it was generally considered a "slight" album. Its reputation has grown tremendously (and deservedly so) over the decades.
Aww, thank you so much! :-) I agree, Back to the Egg and London Town are definitely highlights of Paul’s work. I can’t believe they’re as underrated as they are, because they’re pretty genius! And yeah, Ram is a great example of an album being way ahead of its time! It’s hard to think anyone would have looked down on it. :-/ Thanks for watching, my friend!
Both Back to the Egg and London Town were million selling albums in the US. Flaming Pie only sold 676,000 copies. Come on Paul. We need those deluxe reissues!
Hi good collection you have the best Paul McCartney album in my opinion is run devil run came out in the early 2000s worth to have in your collection I only have it on a promotion cd but still a good album to own
Hey thanks so much! I agree, Run Devil Run would be a great one to add to the collection, and I’ll definitely try and look for it! It’s really cool you’ve got it on CD! 😄
Great video, you will have a lot of fun finding the other singles and albums as I did. one of my favourite singles is Goodnight Tonight , good video for it as well.
Thanks very much! :-) Yes, it’s a lot of fun hunting for all the singles! Goodnight Tonight is a great song! It’s one of my uncle’s favorite McCartney songs, I believe, haha.
Hello Katie I'm Paul....great Macca collection here...tripped on your channel and subbed btw...you will see that there is much to obtain when it comes to his records..he also has done cool session stuff going back to the late 60s(Bonzo Dog Band,Steve Miller).lots to explore...great video thanx for sharing and take care
Thanks so much, my friend! I really appreciate that! :-) And thanks for letting me know about some of his 60s work! I had no idea! I hope you have a great day!
If you can find another copy of Wings Greatest, you should try to acquire it. Another Day, Junior’s Farm, Live and Let Die, Hi, Hi, Hi, and Mull of Kintyre are some great songs that may not be on the McCartney vinyl you have. 😀🍏🎸

@@katiegl you're welcome! But I forgot one more Paul McCartney release, which was Twin Freaks (released only on vinyl). And I'm not sure if Ecce Cor Meum was released on vinyl at all, I've got a CD actually.
Hey K ~ fine collection there. What puzzled me a lot was the missing of Red Rose Speedway. T'was the last thing to expect. Wonder why. . Keep having fun
Aww, thank you! :-) You know, I don’t even know why I don’t have Red Rose Speedway. 😂 I guess I’ve just never been able to find it for a reasonable price in stores. It’s definitely first on my list as far as which records I’m currently looking for, though! Thanks for watching!
ReHey - Obviously don't know if you know the album, but I believe you'll like it. It's from the 'free-spirit-phase', but still has serious tracks and lots of musical fantasy to offer. Ouu, , and then you must remember to get an old vinyl copy with the braille message on the back-sleeve. Won't reveal what it says - up to you to detect.
@@Ziraffe2Thank you so much for the information! I’ll be looking out for it, I’m sure it is amazing! 😄 Hmm, and now I’m curious about what the message is in braille. 😂
Hello Katie! Amazing video and a great collection! I really loved the colored records especially the red and yellow one and the 45's! I like Say Say Say song a lot too! I didn't know that Paul has made a movie, so I will look for it, thank you!. Here's an idea: maybe you could ad a join option or other means for viewers to donate to your channel if they wish so? Keep up the great work!!
Aww, thank you so much! ❤ Yes, you should definitely look for his movie! It’s called Give My Regards to Broadstreet, and you can find it here on RU-vid. I’ll admit, it is a silly movie, but I find it funny and charming in its own way, haha. Oh that’s a fabulous idea! I’ll have to research how to do it-I would be so very honored if people would be interested in donating. Thank you again, I seriously cannot understate how much I appreciate your kindness! :-)

Nice collection! I agree that Home Tonight's 45 is a beauty! Do you have the Red Rose Speedway box set? I think it's one of the greatest treasures for any McCartney fan: not only is the album amazing, but it also includes the original extended version of the record, with great bonus tracks, as well as audiovisual material that every fan must see: Bruce McMouse Show, James Paul McCartney, plus videos of the singles from the time. The included books are also fantastic. Highly recommended! (Double recommendation: listen to it accompanied by reading McCartney Legacy, wonderful book!).
Thanks so much! :-) Unfortunately I don’t have it, but I had no idea it came with so much great stuff! I’ve been wanting to see the Bruce McMouse show for years now, no joke, haha. I’m going to go check it out, because it sounds amazing! Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching! 😊
I admire your collection, and the video was well done. I'm 66, so I've been a fan for a good while. BOTR is my fav. Paul solo album. I kept hoping you'd pull out Flaming Pie! Along with Ram and Venus n' Mars plus others later on, it's hard to beat Sir Paul! My dream came true in 2010 when he finally came to Nashville. In 08' Ringo brought his All Star Tour through town. That show was very impressive also. I love to see so many younger people getting into the Beatles. The music has stood the test of time, thanks to the boy's themselves and the pro's with them in the studio. Take care Katie. Signed, your latest subscriber. As of 6/29 ; ) p.s. how could we forget Red Rose Speedway?
Aww, thank you so much! What a kind comment! :-) I couldn’t agree with you more-it’s hard to be Sir Paul. He’s such an amazing person and musician, just as they all were. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, and I can’t thank you enough for your support! 😊 Haha, and yes, I must get Red Rose Speedway at some point! It’s one of the very few I haven’t listened to all the way through! 😂
Aww, thank you! ❤ And yes, I don’t understand the hatred it gets either! I mean, I’m not claiming it’s the best film ever made, but I do think it’s wholesome and funny. He could have done a lot worse, in my opinion. Thanks for watching, my friend!
@@fbt25Aw, I would love to, but unfortunately I don’t have the original albums. I only have the colored vinyls. If I get them I’ll definitely show them, though! :-)
@@katieglYes, but I meant the ones you didn't pull out from their sleeve (Wild Life, RAM, McCartney, etc.). These seemed to be originals or early reissues.
So cool!! You actually have a few more vinyls than me, interesting! Then again, I've got a few just as cds. I'd absolutely adore to have my Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Flaming Pie ones as vinyls though, wow! Especially with the 45s, I think I should collect more of those... Also, of course, love the Paul shirt! I got the same one when I saw him. You might recognize me from Wattpad, haha 😂
Aww, thank you! I hope you’ll end up getting both of them! And if you do buy them I recommend buying off Paul’s website, because they give you a digital code for the same price (or at least they did). Haha, I do recognize you! Paul is your husband, right? 😏😂 Thanks, my friend!
Hey, Katie! Just found your channel and really enjoying! Love your covers so much, you have a lovely voice and smooth playing. I was elated to see my favorite Paul record here Chaos and Creation! Have you seen Paul live? Looking forward to more videos!
Aww, thank you so much! That really means a lot! :-) I have seen him live once last year on his Got Back Tour. I am forever grateful and astounded that after thinking that I’d for sure never get to see him in person, it actually happened. That was the first experience that taught me anything can happen if it’s meant to. Thanks again, my friend! ✌️❤️
@@katiegl that’s so great! I’ve seen him twice. The first in 2009 and lastly 2019 during ACL which was great cause It was a festival so I was extremely close to the stage. I actually just ordered a copy of one of my favorite records (I used to own it years ago) The Vanilla Sky Soundtrack on vinyl. One of my favorite songs Paul’s ever done. Similar to that song Biker Like An Icon of course lol.
@@TheevilbeatOh that’s so awesome!! To see him so close would be surreal! Seeing Paul in general was the best experience ever-he was even nicer in person than I thought he would be! @@TheevilbeatI’m so glad, too! And I haven’t been singing too long, I don’t really even know how. 😂 I’m just now getting to the point where I’ve gotten past my self-consciousness to even try to-I’ve been wanting to since I was probably 9, though. Thank you so very much, that means such a lot! You’re very kind! 😊
Thanks so much! :-) I’m with you, McCartney’s solo career is just amazing. I too find myself listening to him more than The Beatles, especially as of late. There’s just so much material to choose from! 😄
Nice collection. I have a few Paul albums I really love (Ram, Band, Tug, Flowers, Pie, Chaos to name a few), but I unfortunately consider Paul's solo career frustratingly uneven. You could say the same for the other guys of course. I've always felt the absence of the Beatles as a group is best felt, with a few obvious exceptions (Ono Band, ATMP), when listening to their solo records because the intrinsic quality control that the group had kept the value of their compositions at such a high level that many of the songs during their solo careers would have, in my opinion, never made the cut as Beatle tracks. Further proof of this is that all four Beatles, while remaining commercially successful as solo artists, ceased to be part of the cutting edge in rock music soon after disbanding whereas their work together not only defined the 60s, but redefined pop music in such a way that, 50 years later, the impact of what they accomplished is still relevant. Of course, I now own all of the solo Beatle records after recently picking up a copy of Electronic Sound so take my opinions with a grain of salt. Personally, I blame record collecting, which is a beautiful sickness that empties bank accounts and reduces the overall space of any residence.
Yeah, I get what you’re saying, and I agree. I don’t know that record collecting is necessarily a sickness, though-I mean I feel okay. 😂 Really, though, thanks so much for watching, and have a great weekend! :-)
It ain't a sickness, Katie! It's just your hobby. It's a way to know a great music culture through vynil or records that became classics among generations and there's nothing better than listening songs in its better sound quality as in vynil as in CD, It gives us adrenaline and makes our days become coloured. And above it all, Music take us depression out, Did you know that? So keep on what you're doin'! It's good to your brain and soul!
Give My Regards To Broad Street is a really good album with some lovely reworkings of Beatles songs. I do have the film on DVD but, honestly, as much as I love Paul and Ringo, their acting was so wooden that I'm surprised they didn't get splinters in their bums when they sat down.
Haha, you are right about that. 😂 Acting wasn’t their specialty whatsoever. The plot wasn’t the best either, but the script itself was clever in places. I think that’s what makes it a least a bit more bearable, haha. I suppose I just enjoy the ridiculous nature of it-your brain gets to take a little break. Thanks for watching, my friend!
I’m not a big fan of the film - I re-watched it recently, and it was still a bit of a cringe-fest, although I always enjoy the ‘live’ rehearsal scenes - No Values and Not Such A Bad Boy are superb, as is So Bad! The soundtrack album though is brilliant - No More Lonely Nights is up there as one of Paul’s best ballads, and the production by George Martin, as it was on Tug Of War and Pipes Of Peace, is fantastic - he always knew how to get the best out of Paul’s music!
@@simonhodgetts6530I agree, but I still can’t resist watching it every now and then, haha. Yeah, the music is great, though! I quite like the Eleanor Rigby (Eleanor’s Dream) bit, and as you said No More Lonely Nights is amazing, too.
@@katiegl Sorry about that, I just relooked, yes you do have it already !!! In that case, may I suggest the LP "Chet Akins Picks on the Beatles". The cover of the LP is really cool, and will be I think a welcome addition to your collection

Aww, thank you! :-) Well, I technically got into him because I fell in love with the Beatles first, and the more I learned about them individually I just really connected with his music and his personality the most. I wouldn’t have even known about the Beatles, though, if my mom (who didn’t know anything about them either at the time) hadn’t decided that she and I should give their music a shot after seeing Paul in an interview-she thought he seemed pretty nice and felt guilty that she didn’t know his music. 😂 So after that I delved deeply into the Beatles’ music, and eventually fell in love with Paul’s solo work and him as a person. He’s a pretty amazing guy, though no one needs me to say! His music has honestly changed my life, and the fact he stays so humble and kind makes me like him that much more. (I should stop typing now because I could drone on for hours, and no one wants that, haha) I hope I didn’t just bore you! 😂 Anyways, thanks so much for watching, my friend, and have a wonderful weekend! 😊
