HEY HEY BESTIES!!🎉 I am back with another video and I am giving step by step detail of how I am budgeting this paycheck. This may be helpful to some. I hope that you enjoy! Talk to you in the comments 🤗

You can also do a stuff pepper with riced cauliflower and mostly veggies... Incase you forgot to pull out meat. A veggie meal or salad or sandwiches. All in your preference The more you do it... The more you will be able to come up with meals out of thin air. And be delicious and nutritious

I pre-plan my paycheck as well. I get a statement at work on Thursday the day before payday, the money hits the account on payday Friday. This allows me the opportunity to order my grocery/household pick ups and get my denominations ready for the teller. This allows me to make a loop on my lunch hour and grab what I can leaving the grocery pick up for after work. Love the efficient routine and it has helped me stay on budget. Thanks for sharing your process. You never know what will trigger a more efficient process for someone by watching others.
@BudgetTreasures
@BudgetTreasures Год назад
You are right! Thank you for sharing! I have started to try using my lunch break to visit the bank because it is helpful to make it to the bank as quickly as possible. I have not done the grocery pickup. I think I may try that one time and see if it is more efficient. Is there a fee for that?

@@BudgetTreasures Not at my local grocer or Target which are my two go to stores. My daughter has had problems with Walmart p-up and I've heard that they still hold your money when items are not in stock so you have to wait for that 'refund'. Love your grocery vlogs though!

Aldi uses the Instacart interface so they don’t “charge” per se, but each item is slightly higher when you order online vs getting your own groceries from the store. I still found it worth it to order when I couldn’t drive due to surgery and it kept my husband out of the store and picking whatever he wanted!

I see your buffer and it is a great one. But it gave me the chills. When you mentioned that is not even the real amount. That is dangerous, when it comes to you are creating habits. I’m not saying don’t spend. But be careful. Those can be the ones who get you in trouble and out of the path of healthy budgeting. When you have un-budgeted money it’s money that probably will disappear. And 1k is not change. Just an advice. Another thing is. Why not making that buffer smaller and complete your EF goal instead or a month in advance goal? 😅. Love your content.

Glad you got on that meat trick, bestie! Literally one of the best things I’ve learned from my parents was to buy meat in bundles because the protein is usually the most expensive part of the meal. Divide your meat bundle, wrap them in butcher paper, label and store them in the freezer and you just have to plan your dinner around the meat you pull to thaw. And generally sides and produce are cheaper. I didn’t think about it, but maybe a “Meat Bundle” sinking fund would be a cool idea?
@BudgetTreasures
@BudgetTreasures Год назад
Yesss!! As long as I have meat, I can eat rice or veggies. I am okay with that. It is only me right now so it will last me for a good while. That sounds like a good sinking fund...

Another awesome video🎉🎉🎉 I usually calculate my budget a couple times before I actually get paid. My buffer is under $100 but for now that works for me cause I’m still breaking out of my “shopping addiction “ so I have to be careful with extra money laying around or I’ll spend it😂 I stock up on my meats in the fall to prepare for winter and then I don’t have to go to the market every week. My pantry is stocked as well so this way I only have to get dairy products and fresh fruit and veggies. Great video❤

Call it spending , personal, or allowance. You need that to carry on so that you don't give up. Some people also have a treat myself envelope, You would place the money left over from the variable envelope at the end of the month in it. You would be surprised how it add up. Some people use the treat yourself envelope to get their nails and hair done without feeling guilty....
@BudgetTreasures
@BudgetTreasures Год назад
Yes you are right. I have a Reward envelope...I will start contributing to this envelope soon. I used to feel guilty about upkeep of my hair and nails but I had to realize that, that was based on other peoples thoughts and feelings. I feel good when I look good and my mental health is just as important as my financial health so I no longer care about peoples thoughts about self care because most times, they are spending money on things that they care about...just may not be hair and nails. 🤗
@paulahunt414

@BudgetTreasures you are right. They do make you feel guilty. Another RU-vid fell so guilty that she stop putting the cost of her child braids in the budget. A good one.... Frozen hamburger patties. You can do turkey burgers too. They help make those nights of not wanting to cook, or the days you forget to pull something out easy. Another is smoked sausage. (Beef or turkey). You can add rice cauliflower and peppers. A lot of these items are frozen, or you can throw into the freezer, and then you can thaw out within a couple hours or minutes, and some thaw in the microwave (steamed rice cauliflower or steamed veggies).

My family gave me their crackpot but I haven't used it yet 😅 but I have an air fryer. Sometimes a good chicken roast can be made in that. Just marinade in advance over night. Also one pot cooking is a must. I do a lot of mixed veggie and chicken curry. Walk away the rice cooker and its done 😊 but don't worry we human...I fall of the wagon and buy a takeaway here and there lmao
@ecclairmayo4153
@ecclairmayo4153 Год назад
Edit the word "crockpot"😊 I feel the same way about my one pot meals! To me, it saves me time and money. Also, it's an easy way for me to get all my food groups in and know that I did it in a healthy way. I think it's best for me to potion it out through the week and even freeze it. I don't like to cook a lot, so this let's me cook once and not think about it again as well as make sure no food is wasted!

If you forget presents... The BEST is cash. If her parents have a savings account. Give them the cash and tell them you are wanting to contribute to her savings as a gift instead of something materialistic. I do it with all of my family members. If they don't know what to give. I tell them to do cash for my children (two boys) savings account. I just keep adding to it with birthday and Christmas gifts of money. And I leave it up to them.

You can also use the frozen burger meat (beef or turkey) cook it but mash up so it's ground, and add it to a salad or make a homemade beef recipe. My favorite is the one where the chef took hamburger helper to the next level with beef broth and diced tomatoes. I use that recipe with a little bit of tweaking... Do a deluxe GF Mac and cheese and diced tomatoes with basil and garlic (and oregano). Through in some garlic bread, as an option addition. Hmmmm sooo good.
