Just got the Simplifier (march 2021) and now listening to your video : tuning DADGAD...nice tune and what a great guitar and tone you got out of it!!...cheers!!...

@@maicovimuto6341 ...started playing in DADGAD in 1978!!...first heard about Hedges in 1984!!...now 66 I have been playing open tunings for 45 years!!...and I composed a tune with that riff you are noodling with!!...kind of caught my ear!!...hi!..hi!...all the best!!...

@@maicovimuto6341 ...the Simplifier is working wonders for my Hagstrom Baritone and also pretty hot with the Krivo Micro-Manouche pickup I am using on my Benoit Lavoie modern flatop guitar!!...tight bass response!!...

I have the Simplifier, have had it since early 2021, and I can't help but feel that overdrive, distortion and fuzz just don't sound right through it. I don't even use too much gain, but regardless of the amount of gain, OD, dist and fuzz sound very DI, nowhere near an amp, not close to even my Line 6 Pod HD Pro or the TH-U... Am I missing something? Does anyone have any tips? I will sell it if I don't get the sound right.

Did you ever figure this out? I just bought one and anxiously awaiting it's arrival today. Every video I've seen on it sounds great and everyone says it takes pedals well, so I'm hoping for the best. Just recently got the Quilter Interblock 45 and that is the issue I'm having with it. Drives just don't sound right. They sound overly compressed.

What are your thoughts on buffer pedals??

Buffers are actually really nice pedals to have on a big board like this. There are some really good ones like the JHS Little black box, the Suhr buffer or some tuners have one built in. Although in my case I don't need to have a separate buffer, as the BOSS ES-8 has a built in buffer at the start and end of the loop chain.

If my interface only has 1 xlr will it work, and where do i plug it in? The left or right?

Yes, it can also run in mono. I believe it was de left one. I think it says so on the pedal though.

@@lukemillard679 Jup! You can send the xlr’s straight to the front of house. Just make sure there is a monitor they can send it back to or something like in ears would work.

Sorry for all of the questions! Can i use just one XLR for live situations? From the Simplifier to the PA? (I assume they'll have monitors at most venues truthfully). So its left to the PA and right to the monitor?
