Spades.. to me also means communication and truth.. being blunt.. so sometimes, harsh truth. Thank you very much. I love this video.

Love your opening advice, James. I really couldn’t start reading playing cards-considering the many, many systems of interpretation-until I sat down and decided what approach felt “truest” to me. My instinct isn’t better than anyone else’s (anyone can get the same message even if it takes different cards to reveal it), but I knew I’d learn and remember more easily if the scheme “made sense” to me intrinsically. Now I feel grounded(?) enough to consider your meanings and use them as add-ons, if I want, without worrying I’ll confuse or overwrite my own hunches and understanding. Looking forward to watching them all!

I'm happy hearing that you could relate to my experience, Whishup. I just knew that if I had that experience, others might too. I really think it's important that the cartomancy system one discovers (and expands on) makes sense to him/her, just as you said. So I'm hoping that, as I share what makes sense to me, it will get people thinking about what makes sense to them, through their own personal associations. And I like that you state that you'll consider the meanings and use them as add-ons, if you want, because I realize I'm now another person throwing his hat into the ring, offering perhaps yet another set of meanings/interpretations. ;-)

Yes, also the suits can correspond to the Tarot suits; for me that is Spades = Swords, Diamonds = Coins, Hearts = Cups and Clubs = Wands. That mirrors your observation about spades being pointy (like a sword) and that spades can cut and hurt yourself and others.
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
That's true, and I would read them the same as you. My copy of the Arcana Tarot Playing Cards has the suits set up that way, as well as the Bharata Tarot Playing Cards. I actually use the meanings I have for playing cards when I read with Tarot de Marseille or pip decks. I wanted meanings that were different than when I read with RWS (due to the scenic nature of the Minors).

Learning with you is so easy! Everything seems logical. I think there is a correspondance between playing cards and tarot (well the minors). I remember that Heart goes with Cups.

@JamesHimmCoach33 6 лет назад
Thanks for checking out the video, Annik! I'm happy you found it informative. You're right about the correspondence between the Minor Arcana in Tarot and playing cards; a lot of people refer to it. I also know (and it happens with Tarot too) that people switch some of those associations; most commonly it's with the elements and seasons, like I mentioned in the video. Most common is the switch with Clubs/Wands and Spades/Swords and the elements of fire and air. But, like you point out, the Hearts/Cups correspondence is consistent.

Thanks James, I knew this series had to be next, since it's so popular! I used to love Kapherus's Art of Cartomancy Forum he had back in the day (before the social media takeover!). Since I typically use a piquet deck (no 2,3,4,5,6's for Gong Hee Fot Choy readings), when I need to look up the meanings for the lower numbers, I still use the notes Kap compiled from his "Italian granny", that I downloaded from his forum over 10 years ago! So yep, I'm really looking forward to this lesson series! 😻

Thanks James, I highly recommend expanding your cartomancy repertoire to include Margarete Ward's "game" as she called it. I bought my first paperback copy of the GHFC in 1995 and strangely enough, it was actually Kapherus who informed me of the (new at the time) - hardback edition that I bought and have since passed down to my son. But beware, some of the meanings for the cards/suites vary considerably from your prescribed meanings, but I think still fit in the main ball park. Not many like this method because they say the descriptors are too vague (and outdated) but for an experienced cartomancer like yourself, I'm sure it won't take you long to extend your own interpretations of the cards and placement (as I do) and see the amazing accuracy of the GHFC. 🤗

Dear James, What a Privilege to receive your Distilled Wisdom from painstaking research! Grateful! I've gone paperless. Sadly, I did not find these books on Kindle or Kobo. I've some reflections / questions / requests. I speak from an Indian perspective. Red Colour is very Auspicious for us, like for few Asian cultures. Wondering if I were to do a reading for someone from a Culture that has a different interpretation of Red, how do I engage with Sensitivity? We believe Nature has 5 Elements: Earth, Air, Water, Space, Fire. I'm curious why Space is not represented even in the Tarot Elementals? I've not come across so far... Diamonds for me means Power. We have a saying: Only Diamonds can cut Diamonds! Aggression and Power, a flavour of Bear Card in Lenormand or Knight of Swords in Tarot (perhaps) emerges for me. I would love to see a 18 card Lenormand Tableau. I found this spread when I purchased Roses Deck, both versions: Cards and Online App. I see that as a stepping stone to Grand Tableau. 5*3 + 3 Spread. I loved the Background. Noticed the Buddha and the Jack of Spades overseeing your presentation. Very Serene and Divine. The way you laid the cards in semi circle was beautiful.. I still struggle to get that! Thank you for Guiding Us! Looking forward to next video. Ganga, Bangalore, India.
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 6 лет назад
I love your comment, Ganga, as it fits with the intention behind my sharing. Even though a number of viewers asked me to share my meanings for the cards, I also wanted to allow people to consider their own possible associations and create meanings for the cards based on those associations. And I think you should incorporate those observations you have into your work with the cards. And that's a great question you bring up with regard to cultural sensitivity. I work with a woman in Israel (we study Lenormand together), and I'm aware that we bring cultural differences to the table, so I often lead with something like, "I'm not sure if this is said or done in Israel..." or "Being from the States, I..." so she knows I'm associating from my own personal and cultural experience. It seems to work for us (she hasn't ever said I offended her). Another thing I do when reading cards is state what I see/associate with the cards, then ask the person what she sees/associates, allowing her to share from her perspective, which might be cultural. I hope that helps, Ganga; that was a really great question!

Ganges Sharma. You bring out some vital points, but, since we have choices, I believe each should interpret according to our surroundings and elements. I usually incorporate more than one system when I interpret the playing cards. I'm of Spanish descent and cards were not interpreted anything close to Tarot, when I was a young woman. Today, you can 'mix and match' several systems. I love Lenormand...My fav. But, I don't mind working with traditional methods as well. Much love. Namaste. 🕉

Hi James! I am so happy to have stumbled upon your video! Of course, liked + subscribed, as well! :) I have owned Tarot decks in the past, as well as an Oracle card deck (still not sure if Oracle is the same as Tarot, but I trust I will eventually find out, somewhere along my journey of learning cartomancy!), however, had never taken the time to learn, even though I am VERY into divination itself. For some reason, cartomancy with playing cards stuck out to me and I resolved to myself that I would learn this way first. I don't know, maybe it's because Tarot reading is so common these days, and this may have piqued my interest because you don't hear of it *quite* as often (I had not, anyway!). A few weeks ago I finally bought a deck of playing cards to be used only for this purpose, and have since been looking for somebody on the web who's teaching style resonates with me. A little while ago I came across your video when I searched and right from the beginning I could tell that I love the style you teach in. It makes it easy for me to let things resonate and to retain information, furthermore I love that you encourage the use of intuition, and to really think of what it means to YOU (you as in the student) when reading. I am very much looking forward to watching more of your videos!! I took notes throughout this video, I think it took me a little more than an hour to get through the video with pausing and whatnot. Since I have dedicated myself to taking the time to learn this, I am thinking that taking maybe an hour or 2 every day or every other day at first, to take notes, re-read the notes, and digest the information, would be a good start for me! Very excited! Question - do you do playing card readings professionally (ie as an income) at all?
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
Hi, Krysta! I'd like to thank you for watching the video! I'm so excited to hear that you're giving cartomancy a try! :-) Like you, when I started reading cards, my first deck was a Tarot deck (even though I had a dream where I was reading playing cards, which got me into card reading). Along the way, I kept wanting to delve more into my playing card studies, and did so when I started this series. Also, like you pointed out, there seems to be some many people reading Tarot on RU-vid these days (I was one of them when I started my channel), and I wanted to kind of set myself apart in some way (even though I love my Tarot!). It's nice to see cartomancy becoming more popular too. It means so much to me that my style resonates with you. I really am a big believer in people learning to develop their own style of reading, so I'm happy you're encouraged by that idea. I hope you find the future installments just as helpful in that regard. As for your question, I do read playing cards for clients from time-to-time. Most of the time, my clients gravitate to Tarot first, then Lenormand, and then maybe Kipper or playing cards. Each system has a different "voice," and speaks in its own unique way (in terms of how it delivers its messages). Great question (and you've given me something more to think about)! And thank you for liking and subscribing; I appreciate your support of the work and the channel! :-)

@@JamesHimmCoach33 Thanks so much for the response! I'm very excited to watch the rest of your videos, as well! I actually had never heard of Lenormand or Kipper until seeing your video this morning, I am enticed as well as inspired that there are even more card types to read... and am definitely interested in learning those as well after becoming comfortable and fluent at reading playing cards. I actually have one more question for you if you'd be so kind :) So, I know that everyone is different and develops in their own way, BUT... *if* you were to speak very generally, how long do you usually find/see others studying this kind of reading before becoming comfortable and knowledgeable enough to take on client readings and/or use this talent on a professional level? I know that it also definitely would depend on how often one is studying, how serious one is, if they dabble when the urge comes and then go a while before delving into the learning again - as with anything, I would imagine. I'm just wondering for myself personally how long I can expect to study and practice on a regular basis (at least 3-4 days a week, an hour or 2 each of those days) before being able to consider myself a "reader," if you will. Generally... a year? months? multiple years? I know it's kind of a difficult question to answer, I'd also love to hear how long it took you personally, and how often and long you studied! Also, I was able to find that book you pointed out by Regina Russell in PDF form and have downloaded it, very excited to begin reading it!
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
Krysta, I love your enthusiasm, and that will go a long way as you study the cards! With regard to your question, you are wise to point out that every person is different when it comes to his or her study and development as a reader, so that is definitely a factor. But if I were to offer something generally speaking it would be this: Study, study, study, and practice, practice, practice. Spend as much time with your cards as you can. Learn what they mean to you. Get into the practice of pulling cards daily, in small spreads and work your way into larger spreads. See how your cards relate to your life. Read on current events (if you follow that); read on characters in movies, TV shows, and books. In time, offer to read for people (who are open to it, of course) so you can get experience for when you do it professionally. At some point, you'll know when it's time to go pro. Since you asked, here's how it happened for me... I started out reading for myself for a while (probably my first year). Then, people on my job at the time found out I read cards, and asked if I would read for them, so I did that (for free) to get experience. Then, one day, at that same job, a woman approached me, saying she heard I read cards, and asked me, "How much do you charge for a reading?" And that was the moment I went pro. No one before her had ever asked me that question (nor did I think about getting paid to read the cards). It was as if the Universe said to me, "You're ready." So I was studying the cards for about 2-3 years at that point (closer to 3, most likely). And I still consider myself a student; I still pull my cards daily, and write my readings down in my journals. I feel like I'm always learning. I hope that helps! :-)

How would you like to think of the Diamonds as Being Fire: Passion, Joy, Willpower, Action, Movement - and the Clubs as representing Earth: Stability, Effort, Work, Calm, Finances?
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 Год назад
I think if those associations make sense to you, then go with them! I think I've heard some other cartomancers associate Diamonds with fire (due to the mining process, perhaps?); and if the association with Clubs has to do with the thought of a club being made of wood (earth), then I could see that.

I am totally confused ..grateful to you if u can help with this
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 8 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate it. When it comes to playing card reading, reading too many books and watching too many people (myself included) will only lead to confusion, simply because every cartomancer has a different set of meanings for the cards. As I said in the video, try to stick with two sources for meanings and really dedicate yourself to those meanings. You will expand on them with your own experiences. If you've watched all the videos in the series, you'll know that, for me, the Jacks in your reading will not represent the man in question. Jacks for me are younger people of either gender. I would look for a King to represent the man. The question you've chosen is very tricky, because you're assuming the man is being deceptive and hiding something from you. Since I don't know anyone involved here, I don't feel comfortable interpreting the cards.
@iamarto
@iamarto 4 года назад
I would like to share quickly why my association of the elements is a tad different and why. I look at the symbols and here is what I see: 1. The Spade symbol is fat at the bottom and narrow at the top, gives the impression that it is 1 sided. The King of Spades is the strongest card because it represents God, The All in All, the Unknowable, Undefineable Cause of existence. I associate the Spade with Fire because of Primordial fire or the very beginning of existence when there was no physical reality. It was just super consciousness that decided to do an act of creation through duality or creating a mental projection that appeared to be real in its' own realm, that's because primordial fire or super consciousness is not divisible and cannot be split. When Mars is associated with Spades, it gives more credit to the Fire element association theory. Notice how the Spade looks like an inverted heart, that's because Fire & Water are opposites. 2. The Heart is associated with Water, and it is 2 sided. I look at the sides of something because it gives an impression of the sequence of the suits if we are going to understand how Creation started. So first there was the original fire, that created a projection of itself and allowed duality. The second there is duality and a separate individuality then there is love (hearts). 3. The Clubs are associated with the Air, and they are 3 sided. This is important because in the esoteric teachings the function of the Air element is a mediator between Fire & Water, so the 3 sides of the Club/Clover could be representing how it combines Fire & Water to work together including itself, which makes 3. It's no wonder that The Clubs are associated with the Mental realm, just as with magick schools those who tend to overthink or Judge is considered to have Air Imbalance and Air is associated with Intelligence & wisdom as well. It's an Air property, not Fire. 4. The Diamonds are 4 sided and the Earth element is attributed to it, it makes sense because The Earth element combines all the 3 other elements including itself. This is why it is associated with all the riches besides the fact that diamonds are found presumably at the bottom of the Earth. Out of all the Spade is the most misunderstood in my humble opinion but that's ok since no one really knows where they came from or why they are here because if they truly know then they've already merged with the King of Spades and no longer an individual. The Spades are correctly associated with negative incidents because of the fiery nature it has, but its negative impact is usually exaggerated. The Spade, in my opinion, don't just represent Fire, it also represents the Akasha or the unity of the 4 elements into a new 5th element that is the original source of creation and is counted as 1, not 5. There are only 4 elements that sprung from the Akasha or the King of Spades. Another good reason to associate Spades with "bad luck" is because people don't like change, but Spades are all about change, and without change, there is no evolution possible in the spiritual and animal kingdoms. Sorry for the long post but I thought it could be useful :)

Hello James! I'm revisiting all your Playing Cards Video. To me, this is the University of Cartomancy! I found a Workbook on Cartomancy by Emily Peach. It is on Kindle and therefore very convenient. Have you used this Reference Book? I want to Ask You: 1. Do these Playing Cards also have Spreads like Tarot and Lenormand? Do they follow similar interpretation patterns? 2. I did come across Few Spreads of Playing Cards and hoping you would cover in one of the Videos. I will feel more Confident after your Induction.. 3. Also: How these Cards talk to their Cousins? For example: Bouquet is a Card of Happiness in Lenormand. However, the Queen sitting inside this Card is notorious in Playing cards. Queen of Spades?! Again Number 9 is Card of Fulfillment in Numerology... So, these intersections and boundaries would be very interesting to explore.. 4. Is there a Grand Tableau Equivalent Spread in Playing Cards? I will be posting more queries and sharing my discoveries as I watch your Series once more... Thanks a lot! With Love from India, Ganga

Thanks for watching the video, Ganga. I'm very flattered by your kind words. Taking your questions, one-by-one: I don't have that book by Emily Peach. As I mentioned in the video, I have found that different authors have different things to say about the cards, especially in terms of meanings, which can lead to both confusion and frustration. I've found the sources that work well for me (the ones cited in the video), and have left it at that. At this point in my journey, I'm building on that set with my own meanings that have come up through just working with the cards regularly. 1. Yes, playing cards can be used in spreads designed for Tarot and Lenormand. Many people read playing cards much like the Minor Arcana in Tarot, so you could do that. My personal feeling is that if you're going to read playing cards like Tarot, you might as well just use Tarot. Playing cards can follow Lenormand, in that with a pair, the second card modifies the first. That might be a matter of personal preference for the reader, though. 2. I tend to keep to a small number of layouts. I use a line of three cards for daily draws, a line of 5 for video reads, and an Answer Spread (my absolute favorite). I might throw in a Celtic Cross spread every now and again. I'm not a fan of overly complicated techniques or layouts typically found in books on playing cards. You would have to share the spreads in question, I would then have to try them out and see if I like how they work in order to do a video on them. 3. The playing card inserts in Lenormand are different than reading playing cards themselves. First, you don't have a full deck in Lenormand. Also, you will find that the suit of Clubs in Lenormand has the majority of difficult cards, and Spades are quite nice. In playing card cartomancy, Spades is usually the suit of difficulties. So you really can't take the cartomantic meaning of the playing cards and simply overlay them on Lenormand. Using your example of Queen of Spades, in Lenormand she might be a beautiful, attractive woman (on Bouquet), whereas in playing card cartomancy, she is often seen as a single/divorced/widowed woman. I personally tend to honor the system, and not try to impose things on it that might conflict with it. The one thing I will do is consider that the face cards in Lenormand can also refer to people, like King of Hearts (House) and Queen of Clubs (Snake) and King of Diamonds (Fish). 4. Yes, there is a layout called the Tres Grand Tableau that uses all 52 cards in the deck. Hope that helps! :-)

@@JamesHimmCoach33 : Many thanks for receiving and responding all my Queries with Such Love, Warmth and Openness. And I give you the Sky Card, the 5th Element of Abundance in our Scriptures! I like your Approach on maintaining the Sanctity of each System. Makes Sense. Regarding Spreads: I came across Joseph Magi Method. Watched a Gripping Video on the Question: Was Diana Murdered? He has used Celtic Cross. I found it very interesting: He uses # 2 Decks, one for Practice and one for Seeker. Regarding Grand Layouts, my sense is: When Critical Life Transition Questions are posed by Clients, wouldn't they benefit from seeing the Interconnections amongst the entire deck? At the same time, I do realise, Card Reader can get lazy in doing the interpretations after a point. That reminds me I need to conclude a Grand Tableau Lenormand Reading. Love from India: Ganga
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
Thanks so much for the offering of the Sky Card, Ganga; I receive it with much gratitude. Yes, Joseph Magi is a reader who uses the Celtic Cross in his reading practice. He's also a reader who has a set/range of meanings that would differ from other readers (bringing that back to your previous question/observation), based on his Christian views/perspectives. That's a great point you make about the use of a large spread in a reading. That's exactly the point and purpose of the GT in Lenormand. And while they might work well in a larger, general sense, if the seeker has a specific concern/question, a smaller spread would work just as well (much like a Celtic Cross, for example). And I would offer this flip in perspective: You mention the potential for a reader to get lazy in the course of doing a larger spread. It might also be a matter of keeping in mind the ability of the seeker to keep his or her attention during a larger spread/reading, and being able to retain all that information. For me, a GT can easily go an hour or more, and a person sitting through could go into "infromation overload."
@gangasharma4850

@@JamesHimmCoach33 : Thanks for your time and space. I do not wish to monopolise:-). On the GT Point, I want to share, how I do. I do not ever have any Client sitting in front of me. I ask for their Pic and Audio Voice Message. Then after Meditation, I tune into their Energy Field. I got this idea after I trained in Systemic Constellation Work. We are all connected at one level. Therefore, the interpretations are sent via Text Messages with Visuals, following it up with Audio Message and a Skype Call. It has worked well so far.. Let me know your take on this.. Ganga
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
It sounds like you've found a way to deliver the information to your clients that works well, and that's great. For me, most of my clients like to have an in-person session, whether they come to see me locally or through Skype (video chat). And then a number like talking by phone. My clients seem to like to have the "in the moment" interaction with me, and I with them. When I do e-mail or recorded readings, I find there's more follow-up interaction (most often for points of clarification) than there is when we're both present. I think it's like what we've been talking about already, and that's different readers do different things. And as long as it works for all parties involved (both the reader and the client), that's all that matters. ;-)

Do you use oracle cards? I'm curious because you seem to talk about so many different cartomancy systems but, I'm not sure if you oracle cards. What are your take on them? I actually do use oracle cards. The decks I've created have all been oracle card decks (with the exception of my Mitchell Tarot deck). If you go through my "Oracle Outlook" playlist, I've done readings with both my Oracle of Himm and Neophyte decks. I may do more with them or some of my other decks in the future (I'm hoping to get back into making videos more regularly - my schedule keeps me very busy at the moment). I don't have the Moonology Manifestation Oracle Cards, but the set seems very popular. One of my personal favorites is the Wisdom of the Oracle Divination Cards - a great deck visually and it provides great insights. Another is the Energy Oracle; I connected with it easily because I can see some of Tarot in it. You might want to check those out - you'll find plenty of deck walkthroughs here on RU-vid to watch.
@spannycat2
@spannycat2 2 года назад
@@JamesHimmCoach33 I'll definitely check that out!! For Moonology Manifestation, I would say the art is top notch. I personally prefer it to the first Moonology deck. It does phrases that help with interpretation. However, you get a deeper meaning if you are familiar with the zodiac signs, elements, zodiac axis, and Moon phases. So in my deck I pulled Last quarter moon in Gemini and full moon in Sagittarius. Gemini and Sagittarius are in an axis. This axis is about travel, intellectualism, and education. And so, it's kind of an astrology deck and you interpret it that way. That works for my brain. I'm looking forward to any new deck releases from you. Keep making decks and keep making tutorials. Everyone has a deck for them, they just have to find it.

James: Diamonds for me bring up images of Savvy Shrewd Diamond Business Merchants from Surat, Gujarat India. To me, the King of Swords or Air Element is closer. Associating with Earth and Pentacles didn't connect... Does it mean each Card Reader can have their own Range of Meanings? Love, Ganga

I think it's great that you're thinking about the suits/elements in ways that make sense to you, which is exactly what I suggested in the video. For me, Diamonds are stones that are mined in the earth, so it seems natural for me to place it there. The point of the series was to share my personal work with the cards (because people had asked), and to get people thinking for themselves what the cards might mean for them. My perspective is not the only one, just one of many. And that brings me to your question: Yes, many readers will have their own range of meanings, based on their worldview and personal experience with the cards.

I prefer using playing cards for my readings vs tarot. I feel it’s more authentic , original and straight to the point. My auntie also said that playing cards were preferred over tarot cards back in the day especially down south bc they were discreet, cheap and easy to find! I was taught a little differently as far as how I use the elements for my playing cards…diamonds : fire , clubs : air , hearts : water , spades : earth. Red : good Black: bad Diamonds: money or a letter or material things Hearts : love home family emotions Clubs: career and goals … phone calls meetings Spades : bad health, death, enemies , wishes not coming true . I see everyone has their own twist of how they utilize they’re playing cards! I was able to download the link you shared with us and it’s printable! Thank u 🥰

Sorry I confused you with my fast-talking accent there, Ganga; that's just from being born and raised in a certain part of the United States... ;-) Here's what I said in reference to red: blood, which I associate with life force; "seeing red," which is a pun for being angry; and the base chakra, which is associated with the color red, and for me, refers to basic needs and material concerns, as well as survival. So I think "shocker" or "shopper" was for "chakra." Hope I was able to clear that up. :-)

Hi James, I Love the Video, I like the way you set the season, it reasons with me. I have a question for you, maybe off the subject a little, As I was lighting my candles today before playing my cards, the white candle got a lot crintiller and a lot of black smoke came out and the flame was extremely high and bougante, there was no air flow, I made my prayer and Then the flame became normal and seized from wobble. I ask my usual question "What will happen today? | I had on my cut the tree + the coffin. Then my line of 3 => the fish + the key + the cross. What do you think it maybe? is it some bad energy? I burn some Nag Champa, just after. Can you please give me some advise, I will appreciate. I am traveling overseas tomorrow morning to see my mother.
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
Thanks for watching the video; I'm happy hearing that parts of it resonated with you. With regard to your cards, I'll first say that, when you ask about your day in a general way, the cards can have any number of possible meanings. The only way you'd know for sure is to review your cards at the end of the day to see what event they were talking about. Here's how I might look at those cards: Tree + Coffin: illness; could simply suggest feeling tired or run down, and a need to rest. Another possibility might be an extended family member dealing with illness/sickness. I don't know what the purpose of your cut is (I don't do this myself), so I'm offering that without knowing why you do it or what it means (is it the theme of the day, or the shadow or the basis?). Fish + Key + Cross: Money (Fish) is the answer/solution (Key) to an ordeal (Cross). A man (Fish) has the answer (Key) to a difficulty (Cross). A man (Fish) discovers (Key) a solution (Key) to a crisis/an ordeal (Cross). Again, those are some possibilities. Keep in mind you know your daily life than better than I, so there might be a possibility other than the ones I've mentioned. Also, without knowing the purpose of the cut, there might be a connection to both the cut and the line I'm not aware of because I don't know what the intention/purpose of your process is. Hope that helps in some way.

I am real time commenting again. at 5:43 you talk about many sources saying different things. Pat of this is because reading cards comes out of many different traditions and cultures. The French readers (Spades are bad, Hearts and Diamonds are good, etc.) are quite different fro the German reading system (where the Spades are good and the clubs are bad). They are a bit different from the Russian tradition as well. This makes it difficult to find many card reading systems that have the agreement (or sameness) you talk about. I think you have to find a system that resonates with YOU and go with that.
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 5 лет назад
That's a great point you make about the cultural aspects and traditions associated with cartomancy. And I think, even within a certain culture or tradition, there will be variations, because each individual reader will add his or her personality and style to that tradition. And that's why I reiterated your point about finding the system that personally resonates with you and sticking with it. I totally agree with you.
