Today we visit the breeding facility of Nora De La Paz, the licensed bird breeder from qhom we got Ligaya, my #AfricanGrey #parrot. I could not believe the number of beautiful #pet birds she had! The ultimate moment was when Ligaya got to meet her biological parents... well, sorta!

Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

It is like adopting a child, is very expensive, is destructive and makes a mess, requires hours of daily interaction, and intensive training/socializing. They also live for 40-80 yrs! This is a life-long commitment. As a teaser, vet bills (avian vet needed not just any vet) can cost an average of $1000 USD per visit! Can you commit to this?

Love this episode! I've always been hearing good things about Tita Nora and I really do want to see her aviary some day. It was fun seeing you squeal and just get so excited about all the birds, I can totally see myself doing the same thing. As for adoption, sadly not a lot of people do adoption of birds because they usually end up dead or the owners refuse to let go of their living room living ornament (a sad reality of bird keepers in the Philippines). It's part of my advocacy here in Cebu, to teach owners that birds are more than just pretty and musical decorations, that they have feelings and personalities. Great job with Ligaya and looking forward to her first flight in the next video (judging on her apparent weight loss and take-off stance).

Wow! Keep up the amazing work you do! Oh that's why I couldn't find any. After this vlog, I did learn of a wild bird sanctuary in Manila where many people apparently dispose of their parrots when they realize they can't keep them. I will surely check them out eventually.

Wow, that's a lot of parrots! It must be exciting for Ligaya to see & meet the specie where she came from. That's also a big responsibility to any parrot collector. I like the pink parrots, they are so cute! I hope i could visit that place also and interact with the parrots.

😁 never realised how many varieties of parrots exist!! I mean we see cockatoos all the time in Oz but I guess you take it for granted on how many different ones there are. OMG! Hmm where do I start.... Im 13 years old and I have a green cheek conure and a type of parrot that requires A lot of attention and maintenance I give them 10 hours every week and mostly isn't sufficient bcuz I have school so pls consider before buying a parrot or adopt one if there a rescue center... Edit : You need to be committed and have a lot of time cuz some parrots can live up to 80 years

I have a Congo 2year old African Grey and an 11 year old Umbrella Cockatoo that we adopted from a home that couldn’t take care of him. They are truly 3 year olds for life. My grey will talk your ear off for sure, which you will be glad she did once my Umbrella lets out a yell. Love them no matter what. And my Umbrella really does love to cuddle. These pets are truly a lifetime commitment so do plenty of research!

I remember when my late grandfather kept budgerigars and several species of parrot before.He was breeding budgerigars to sell to other bird fanciers but the bird that he had that had the most personality was his Blue Naped Parrot(the local species of parrot that was in this video).The only words she did managed to learn was "Hello" and "Gutom na ako" as well as whistling.She was kept in an area where a lot of people in the compound pass by so she gets a lot of time interacting with people.

Was especially inlove with the cockatoos. They looked gentle and cuddly too. Not sure tho, were they pink in color? Wasn't really clear. The breeder sure has a beautiful collection of birds.😍 Bet you'll likewise have a gorgeous selection as soon as you start having your own farm.
