I don’t have Rolodex cards and buying any new supplies is not in the budget right now. However, I would like to participate. I have tons of other supplies though. I have these little mini Manila cards shaped sort of like the tab side of a mini file folder. And I have a die so if I want to with existing card stock in my stash I can cut more. So, I think my 100 day project will be using those mini “thingy’s”. And using my collection of mini sprays, ink pads, pan pastels, scribble stickers, adult crayons, Japanese wTer colors, fabrics and fabric scraps, laces and ribbons, and paper ephemera. And I can make more ephemera I can gelli pad print paper, etc to use. To improve my collage and design of multi media skills.
What a great idea to orient your rolodex cards to look like a book. I have been wanting to get back to working on my rolodex cards and this 100 days project inspires me and give me the motivation to do the same. Thanks Margarete for sharing this new project with us. Always so much fun to watch your videos.
I did your first Collage Weekly Challenge on one of my round Rolodexes and it’s really fun to flip to display a new collage every day. I became mildly obsessed with Rolodexes in all their forms (if you’re in the Pacific Northwest having trouble finding one…they’re all in my craft closet) so I will be pulling out one of the flat ones for this!
Bonsoir, j'ai commencé aujourd'hui le défi 100 jours sur une petite carte, grâce à vous et Laetitia, je découvre ces collages et j'adore. Merci à vous ☺️ Thank You for your vidéo 😉
I hadn't officially heard of this. TFS. I am going to join in! I plan to pick something from the many books I have and complete one of the practices/tutorials/projects 😊
I picked up a vintage Rolodex a while ago and just haven't been inspired. I love the idea of turning it around. Now it is a book! In the middle o other projects, but maybe...
Great idea. I started inspired by already a rolodex project. Buet life got in the way. This is a great stimulation of getting started again. Thx so much for the idea. Please do share with us.
I am looking forward to seeing your process. Brilliant idea!!! Thank you for clearly explaining the #100 day project. It is less intimidating knowing it does not have to be 100 days consistently. It is fun to see what people are doing. THAT is a GORGEOUS ROLADEX.....METAL....WOW!!! You will make it even more beautiful!!!
I watched this video yesterday afternoon and have already done 14 cards in a black plastic Rolodex I got at a yard sale years ago! So much fun! I have been a paper crafter and card maker for years and this is a new direction for me. I am a new subscriber and am enjoying your videos so much. ❤
I'm more than 2 days behind... 😉. It doesn't matter, though. As long as you create something during that time to show that you've devoted some thought and effort into it. 💜
This is a brilliant way to use Rolodex cards - I love it! I've been doing Rolodex cards ever since you introduced the idea years ago, but to use them in landscape mode will be so fun! Thank you!
Love this project! Quick and easy... Or can be complex and slow... None the less, for me, I can commit to 15 to 20 minutes per day working on a Rolodex card.
Margarete:Great idea. And yes, I have one of those Rolodexes with the original names on them. I still refer to it once in a while. Haha. Carol from California
I have an old Rolodex type vertical holder that I bought at a craft garage sale from a company called 9 Gypsies. Absolutely love it and will take part!
I really love this idea. I have a friend who chose 16 things to day everyday. I won't go to that extreme. But, I was just looking at my Rolodex full of empty cards this morning and thinking I need to do something with them. I also want to Learn how to play Ukulele and learn more Spanish. So, I'm choosing these three things. I also RE-Subscribed to your channel. This is the third time I've subscribed and then can't find you. Hopefully I stay subscribed this time I will also do an intro video to my channel soon with my challenges. ☺♥
@@MargareteMiller Thank you. I will do my best, but won't beat myself up if I miss a day or two. When I go out of town, I won't be able to Bring my crafts or my ukulele, but I will still be able to practice Spanish. ☺♥
This sounds like a fun project! I love working with Rolodex! I can't wait to see what all you come up with. I will be gone much of March because I am getting a new grandson! So, I won't be able to participate this year. Maybe next year.
I’m planning to use a Rolodex too. Originally planned to do one medium but decided I am just committing to doing one a day in any style/medium that strikes my fancy. I can’t wait to see what you do!
What a great idea! I love that they’re so itty bitty that committing to playing with them everyday is totally doable. I just bought some affordable pre-punched (one hole) vertical format teeny cards on Amazon and I’m definitely going to play along. 😁 Here’s the listing if anyone wants to look. "8 Pack Blank Flash Cards with Rings for Studying with 50 Sheets Each, 250gsm Index Notecards (2.2 x 3.5 In)" Not sure if the paper will be satiny or a regular matte. Hoping for matte. I’ll try to post back when I get them.
What a great idea to turn those sideways. I have never been interested in using on the regular way but I really like the different orientation that you are going to use. I will keep my eyes open for one in a second hand store . Because it would be such a great way to practice collaging. Blessings and love from New Mexico
@@MargareteMiller I looked on eBay and unfortunately they were like $25. But I will have my family keep looking and thrift stores and maybe I will find one that way. So I may not be making it right away but I will keep my eye on yours. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico
This filling up a rolodex in a 100 days (or longer) might be a good project for me. I bought a rolodex a year ago and even didn't do anything. It's filled with vintage blanc cards. My point is that I never create many "loose" things. I mostly work in journals and even then all my journals have their own theme. However, rolodex cards are quite tiny, it doesn't need to take that much time. I love collaging and that can be a "thingy" as the rolodex has that special punches. I do have a die for that, but I experienced already that even when it looks quite the same there are differences that appear when a printed image is glued down. I do like to create these tiny ones, so probably I will give it a go.
This sounds like a great plan! Not sure what I’ll do yet but since I’ve joined the collage group I may just commit to 100 days of collaging! We’ll see! ❤
I didnt even know people had a rolodex anymore. I threw mine out when the world went digital. I will go with blank index cards. Hope that's acceptable.
15 minutes a day? I think I can mostly do that. AND, I just picked up a vintage rolodex with plans to do some tiny collage. Guess that means I'm on board.😁
I love your name. My name is Peggy, but a derivative of Peggy is Margaret, and I have been called Margaret many times, lol. I love your 100 day project, because one of the things I have a hard time with is what am I going to do? I mean ideas wise. The thing is, I have no way of printing out the prompts because I have no printer. Would you be able to print things out and then send them to me if I pay you for it?
It's a good idea, Peggy, but I just don't have the time to fulfill extra orders. You don't need to print out prompts, anyway. They are usually short and so you can write them out. You can also sketch things or use color pencils to doodle small things. There are always possible ways to get around not having a printer.
There's no official sign up. Just make the commitment to yourself and get going 😉. You can post things with #100dayproject to keep yourself accountable, but it's not really necessary.
