my pond is a year old!! under water footage/outdoor kitchen update

Trapper J do you ever have issues with the red tailed caterpillars on your tomatoes or pepper planet?? We have a pretty decent size garden but we always have issues at being able to keep the weeds down for sure!!! I did plant two big black pots that I had gotten from menards and one we planted 2 yellow tomato in and the other one I planted three purple pepper plants in!! The peppers had only three or 4 leaves on all three plants for the longest time ever and then I gave them some fertilizer and with in 3 or 4 days they had doubled in size and probably have about 20 leaves on each one now!!! I was out one night checking them out and giving them water!!! The very next morning I noticed that one pepper plant had all its leaves completely gone except for two leaves!!! At first I had thought are chickens came up and started picking the leaves off and eating them!!! But after while I was like why only one and the other two didn’t even look touched at all!!! That was when I seen one great big red tailed caterpillar!! I then new that he had eaten my pepper plant so I feed him to my chickens!!! I then checked out the other two pepper plants and did not find another one but when I started checking out the two tomato plants I had found three more and of course I fed them to my chickens also!!! I just hate going through all the work and then you get one bug that destroys all your hard work trying to grow them!!! Then the not this year but several years back when we was wanting to start a garden we planted some sweet corn and it did very well until the very end and we had found that every ear of corn had gotten some kind of fungus or something on them that ruined all the corn!! I definitely wish I would have gotten a picture of it so that I could ask someone that might no exactly what it was for sure!!! It was like a light grayish brown color and I’d say it almost reminded be of a brain for what it looked like kind of!! Anyways I’d have to say that we definitely do not have good luck with are garden for sure!!! Now this year we do have some cantaloupe, zucchini, pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes, squash, tomalley, several different lettuces!! Actually the better half made several salads to take for lunch at work!! We also have rhubarb, asparagus, strawberries witch is definitely my kind of thing to grow because they come up every year!!! We did end up finding a whole trunk load of different things that someone had lost out of their truck or off their trailer because they were sitting by a stop sign as we got off the interstate!! They even had price tags on everything and I had added everything up by the tags that was on them and it was just under 500.00$ worth of stuff including a nice rose bush that looks really good this year and started blowing out!!! The better half got every one planted except for maybe three or four which was some kind of shrub that had a really bent and crooked stem!! The others was like a grass I can’t remember the exact name!!! Well definitely keep an eye out for those red tailed caterpillars on your plants because they can definitely destroy your plants with in a day to three days if nothing is done with them!!! Hey sorry about that last message being so long but let me no on the things I had asked in it!! Also did you ever end up getting some walleyes for your backyard pond?? I think that they would definitely be awesome to see if you could get them to be 18” to 20” long big enough to get a couple really nice fillets out of and do a catch clean cook with them for sure!!! The kitchen is definitely looking really good and so is the pond!!! Awesome video once again and remember to keep up all the hard work and definitely keep the videos coming!!!! Lol!!

nice work on your pond. excellent job, its really beautiful. i noticed you dont have any pgravel at the bottom of your pond for bedding fish. are you planning on putting down areas where fish can spawn, like spawning mats?

That ws nice seeing the muskie in its hunting stripes. I bet your chickens love stalking along the bank. The cookhouse idea is something I suggest to anyone with a pond. It's a great way to really enjoy your pond and you can even screen it in with bug mesh if you really want. Yours is coming along very nicely indeed.

That outdoor kitchen is turning out to be awesome brother. There will be a lot of meals cooked and a lot of fun had there. Underwater footage is so cool.

The sound of flowing water drowns out the highway sound. That's convenient. Is the filtration turned on during winter?
