Oh my Lordy, it's finally up! We did it kids! We got out of technology jail. (This video has been edited and finished forever but would not export!) Not only did I birth a baby but I finally birthed this video! If you follow me on instagram you've seen me try to export this video over and over again with no luck, until now. Here it is, the longest video I've ever uploaded of the start to finish story of how little August came into this world. I really had the ala carte birthing experiences spread across my 4 children with none of their births being like the other. This time, I was induced! Did you watch to the end? You know you've always been my favorite.

I actually think that happy, calm inductions are not nearly as rare as the internet would lead us to believe. 3 happy, easy, peaceful inductions here. I know the maternal outcomes in the US are not where they should be, but I have been really happy with the experiences I’ve had.

I had a similar experience with the epidural!! Not throwing up but my blood pressure was dipping, heart accelerating, and I had to have oxygen during pushing because I kept blacking out, I thought for sure I was gonna faint

This video was 👌. You had me laughing with the, “Your pain is done” story, which I’ve heard you tell before, and knowing that you videoed a random woman screaming in labor (perhaps that’s insensitive of me 😳), tearing up with you, and being able to go back to my own birthing experiences (which are regrettably not filmed) as you delivered baby August and met him for the first time. The montage of newborness at the end was a cherry on top. Thank you for sharing this special moment and doing all of the work to upload it. And yes, fourth baby afterbirth pains are horrible. 🥴

the part where ryan was praying over you in the car….. whooo! it got me all sorts’a teary! it was so sweet and caring. it showed the bond that you guys have with each other, and also the bond you guys have with the lord. i loved all the behind the scenes stuff you included. the video just flew by. it didn’t seem like it was over a hour.

I love that you explained your thoughts over the induction and how you had a really nice induction rather then the terrifying story’s you hear. When I was having both mine I had to have a set induction date and it scared me so much because of everything I had heard. I didn’t make it to either of those appointments because my baby’s decided they wanted to come the night before the appointment but this video and hearing your story is so nice for anyone who is now being told they have to have an induction

Your video popped up in my feed, and even though I’m 62, who doesn’t love a childbirth video?!?! Someone in the comments mentioned that you are in Seattle; I’m down here in Grays Harbor County, so we’re almost neighbors!! I’m so envious of moms today who have the ability to easily video their birth experiences; I only have a couple photographs from my 3 girls’ births. And trust me, memories fade as the years go by, so what I wouldn’t give to have had the technology back then that we enjoy (for the most part) today! Yay for positive inductions! I have had 3 now and was terrified with my first. Now I have nothing but great things to say about inductions. It does seem to be very negative on the internet in general surrounding inductions. Glad to hear another positive story

I had 2 positive inductions and am so grateful. Congrats again, Marie! Got to the Mack Truck part. That was me. My first labor was Mack Truck and my induced labors after were calmer and gave me time to chill between.

Goodness. I’m only 15 min. in and had to pause and say how sweet your little family is. Cake in the backyard, little strolls, fun colors throughout the house, so much love. My husband and I are not really ready for kids but if/when we are I hope it’s just as sweet and simple as this❤️
