Hi hi everyone! Welcome back to another episode of my Post-Grad life! Today, I am going to introduce to you my new, slower #MorningRoutine . I am trying out a few new things in my morning routine to make life not seem so "rushed", so this may continue to develop, but I am really happy at how it is starting out.
xoxo,
Gracie

Nothing wrong with moving back in with your folks as an adult. Of course it's a privilege to have parents who are willing and able to let you do it, but nothing to be ashamed of. I had a few stints of living back at home after I graduated, when I was between jobs or needed space to figure things out...I have friends who've moved back home for a while in their 30s even.

I think its almost sad Gracie has to acknowledge it as a privilege since family should be supportive and welcoming. It's a real shame some families aren't like this 😔

Five years ago when I graduated, I immediately jumped into a career. Between graduating/ getting hired and my start date, I managed to squeeze in one solo trip and two months off. I can’t tell you how much I needed that time and how much I wish I took just a little more. Life goes so fast. If you are able to take time to slow down and travel and really live your life, do it! Enjoy this time! I can’t wait to see where it takes you (since I am living vicariously through you!) 💕

I also lived with my parents post-grad! Thankful they allowed me to do so. I think it is more common than people think, people just don’t “boast” about it because of this standard society has set that you have to get a full time job right away (which is also awesome if it happens that way). Happy that you are bringing light to this reality for many post-grad students!!!🙂❤️

Here in the UK it's pretty standard to move back home after uni, it's actually unusual for people to move straight out after uni!

Thank you for sharing your feelings about moving back home. I remember feeling this way right out of university plus I didn't have a job lined up. Ouch... I felt left behind seeing other people move out of their parent's houses and start their careers but now looking back I realize this is what was right for me and I'm thankful to have been able to save money and spend that time with my family. Everything that's right will happen in time. I only say this because I wish someone had told me this in those early years. Congratulations on graduating and wishing you all the best :)

Thanks for acknowledging not everyone has parents who would welcome you back home. Your family is amazing and so supportive. I wish my family was like that too. Its cool to see you know you are lucky

@@WinterWind It is sad. Plenty of families will disown their kids or not welcome them back home, and some kids don't want to go back home because home was abusive. I am glad Gracie has a good family.

I moved home after I graduated for 2 years and it was the best choice I ever made. I was able to pay off my loans, buy a car, and build a decent savings before moving on my own. My “rent” was paying extra on my loans. I was so grateful to my parents for allowing me to move back in and essentially live rent free. It truly set me up so well for when I did move out

There is nothing wrong with moving home. I moved home after Uni and due to ill health I have been unable to live on my own. I enjoy having the help and security that living at home brings. Take the time you need to figure out what is next for you.

Take your hard drive to a data recovery company sooner rather than later. Plugging it in and poking around can cause more unintentional damage if you're already having trouble accessing your files. I spent $600 once getting data recovered and said never again haha. Now everything is saved in multiple places

I ordered from care off a couple of weeks ago and I started taking them on Friday! I've been taking them for only a couple of days right now. But I'm definitely excited to see the changes that will happen. I'm also going to my doctor's on Friday to see about getting back on an anti depression medication that I took a few years ago and it made a world of difference! so hopefully with me taking vitamins, and take a couple of new medications my health will get back in order! I'm also in the process of getting hopefully approved for an apartment!!!! I'm super excited and nervous at the same time. But fingers crossed I get approved!

I’ve been out of school for a year now and still am living in my parents house!! It’s obviously different for everyone but it’s definitely pretty common especially with the cost of living these days 😕

Here in the Netherlands it's quite normal to move back in with your parents. Rents are very high due to lack of housing and also buying a house is way too expensive nowadays. Do what feels best for you and what makes you happy. That's the only thing that counts.

I graduated and literally got married 5 months later! 😅 I moved out of home 2 years before I went to university and I never went back home. My parents moved house around that time and I literally don't have a room there and haven't for years.

It’s interesting to see the cultural differences between Australians and Americans. Here in Australia, a majority of people live with their parents throughout university. Most people don’t move interstate for uni unless they have to for their chosen course. Then, a lot of Aussies will live at home into their mid twenties. House prices are extremely high where I live. Financially, it is so much more sensible to live at home until you are ready.

Currently at home after graduation and I've slipped into depression. I feel like I'm behind in live and it's terrible. All my friends are employed and living life and I'm stuck struggling. It's tough.

Girl its NORMAL to move back in with your Parents after College. The statistics is over 80% of College graduates move home for a time period. It wasn't normal in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s but it is now due to the current economical crisis.

Hey Gracie, been subscribed for years and just have to say the negative self talk is really hard to hear! Especially when it’s right when you wake up and go to sleep, meaning no makeup and your hairs not done, when you just look normal. You keep saying that you look terrible and it’s really not the way to talk about yourself. Sorry if this is rude, but it’s all love from a long time sub

Your boyfriend has made a big sacrifice by moving to South Florida to be with you, so I’m not sure that your leaving to go to Nashville would make a lot of sense. It actually seems very selfish to consider something like that.

Why don't you live independently in your own apartment like Madison Westbrooke? I think you'll like more privacy and be less of a burden on your parents! Good luck, Gracie!!

She literally explained her thought process in a previous video. It doesn't make sense to rent a place when she's going to travel a lot in the next few months + she has a family who love her and want her around. She has been away at college for 4 years she can come back and see her family without it seeming like a burden 🙄
