For me, my Nikon FM2 and my Deardorff V8. I was forced to sell my Hasselblad CX to pay rent while going through cancer treatment. I sold a few others also but, that one still hurts 5 years later

Canon AE1 tried ny brother for it in 1980. He got a GMC Jimmy 4x4 square body in the deal. If he still had the Jimmy it would be worth way more than the camera but the AE1 has outlasted it. It takes great pics and I love it. Will probably get handed down to some lucky relative.

I have a few "cold, dead hands" cameras.. (besides family heirloom cameras) Fuji GW 690, 4x5 Graflex Speed Graphic (w/6×17 120 back), Bronica ETRS, Ricoh 500 ME rangefinder, Zeiss 532/16 folding 120, Canon A1 I've owned for 40 years, and KB Canham 5x7 / 4x5 field camera

Matt; Minolta XG1 - 1st camera I bought (1979 … worked 3 PT jobs to pay for it) I just had it refurbished. Never selling it …taking it to the creamery with me when I’m gone!

Bought my Nikon FM + 50mm f1.8 new in 1977 having worked delivering milk ( it's an old English custom;) to save for the camera. I still have and use the camera today, it has never failed me in all these years.

I’ve heard folks make the argument that the xpan is an MF camera… I really want to shoot one… I will never pay for one… also… the Nikon FM’s are just the best

Over the past decade, I've bought and sold a lot of cameras and lenses. But, there are a couple that have been with me the entire time. I have an Ebony SV45ti that is an absolute dream, with a Rodenstock 150mm f5.6 Apo-Sironar S and Nikkor SW 90mm f4.5. There are times that I'll think about selling it to fund another camera purchase because I shoot 4x5 in waves, but I know if I do that I'll never find another one. The guy who made them all by hand retired in 2016, so I don't think I'll ever be able to go through with selling it.

Maybe the Hasselblad 500CM - I'd keep....maybe????? I want a Leica M6 also - I'd hang onto that without a doubt.

My inherited canon ae1 program, same though- I'd much rather be printing a 6x9cm or 4x5" but taking pictures with a 35mm is just the only way sometimes.
