I'm a 55 year old man that had my own garage. And I didn't survive the business partner shafting. The guy disappeared and I was left with debt when I thought we didn't owe a penny. I lost my home, my M3 and savings. Everything. I no how you feel Alex. What an amazing job you have done and are doing. Wow...! I would love to one day come to America and first off,,I would come to say hello to you and your guys.... Good luck for now and the future..✌️👍🇬🇧
So sorry my phone made a mix up somehow grant. Never mind because I love what you do and love watching you and the guys drifting..I so love going sideways fella....✌️👍🇬🇧
Must say i would put the filter between the main tank and the surge tank as only single line in and out and no restrictions to the fuel rail from the surge tank other than the lines and fittings
Once again Grant thank you man! For such great content the attention to detail and the pride you have in your work. Everytime I see a notification I run straight here
Granto San great vid and the Pro Car is looking sick I can't wait to see you absolutely shredding 🤙 that beast let's go baby and as always keep up the great work 👍
Everything is so cleanly made and run, love the attention to detail. Love the content and how you explain everything, good learning experience. Keep it up 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know stuff happens when it happens but I wish I could have told brian what a great job he did with your fuel tank in person when he was at the mondello event when I met him with jimmy. Genuinely he is underapricated with the amazing stuff he does and I hope it he has an amazing future ahead of him. Grant if you could forward this to him that would be amazing, if you could love this comment I'd know you've seen it. bmw drift v8/jdm engine drift car appreciation from one side of the world to another. (bmw slant 6 just don't cut it)
Get a 180 degree 8n full flow fitting. If for some reason you experience a restriction, that full flow 180 is almost 2x's the inside diameter of a typical 8an 180.
More time lapse! Loving the time lapse man! Giving some more content and gets the video length between 20 and 30 min which is a good length. You read the comments! Keep up the good work.
Looks so good 😎 I wish someone made a hanger for e36/e46 that wasn’t like 300 bucks because I’ve had so many issues “customizing” that hanger with fittings and the power wires. Those lines are sick the car is coming out perfect! Good luck with the tooth 🦷
Don’t forget to get a tank vent line in there the filler won’t work as a vent you’ll need one around the bulk heads you already have don’t think the stock ones would work in a high flow race application been battling it in mine but have much more fuel flow than most, stock vents did get it working but recently went to -8 independent vents on each side of the stock tank seems to not be restricting anymore and resolved have yet to test
Always make sure u blow out your PTFE lines if you use a grinder , you may get debris go inside the line and through your fuel system blocking injectors or pumps
So Fuckin Sick Bro!! Take your time just like you are make it the way you want it the first time instead of rushing as it's turning out so fucking perfect!! Keep up the amazing work and Fire Videos!!
My only concern is that steel braided tube running from the gas tank to the surge, rubbing against that closed end. Since its a plastic overlay, I'd put a small metal plate just to prevent any rubbing.
Hahaha earlier in the video Grant said the fuel system was about 90% complete and at the end of the video he said the fuel system was close to 85% done. But any who Grant I can't wait till the pro car gets done. That things gonne be one clean mean pro car and if you throw an LS or a 2JZ in that bad girl she'll be getting on everyone's doors and blazing some tires.
Curious about the process of cutting the stock tank down and sealing it back up. Big issue with swapping an RX8 is the stock tank but this would be perfect for saving space and keeping it simple.
Hey Grant. I'm from New Zealand Starting an E46 sedan build. My question. What diff are you running in your E46. I'm thinking of running a stock 4:10 ratio welded diff
Any concerns about getting rubber all over the surge and filter and potentially catching fire from a possible tire fire? Or is there a plan to make a small sheild for them?
Hey Grant, Next time you speak to Jimmy O, can you please send him the link to the Mic you recently started using.....maybe he can order a couple.....lol
Got a notification that you wanted to talk too me privately on an app called Telegram (Russian owned version of WhatsApp I am guessing) but it requires me to authenticate with a cell phone number so I won't be installing that lol.....
How do you know none of this stuff ain't gonna be in the way of exhaust or other things? I never run fuel lines before the engine is in. Seems like it's alot easier but how do you know it's not in the way.
Grant, you have air lines, get an air powered rivnut gun, you think rivnuts are great, air powered rivnut gun is gods gift to rivnut users. It takes 3 seconds to put a rivnut and you never bust them.
Why would you cut the tank in half like i understand if it’s a race car you would do anything for weight reduction but you said it’s for drifting so can anyone explain to me why he did that?
Grant is growing leaps and bounds in his camera work, editing, sound and is making sure we can see what he is talking about. Better than Anthony sometimes does on TJ's channel. He gets a little too cocky and doesn't show us things and just glances over it. Kind of annoying. Grant though is thorough, makes sure we can see it, explains it and isn't going on about some special brand or part we've never heard before and makes us feel stupid for not knowing that something existed.
Not a real serious build! FFS could have got the full flow 180 degree fitting, not that shit thin crap, 2 lines into that is a massive restriction! Hence, not a serious build, Mech pump with -12AN return and 2x -12AN feeds, then you're going for some real power! DW is just a Name brand and doesn't stock any decent fittings for big power builds! No -12AN and -16AN quick connects, they're super hard to find anyways! Anytime I hear the name DW, i think it's not a big power build! PS, not saying that's what he's going for, but they're a half way brand!
need to get those fuel lines away from those hard sharp edges on the surge tank and its brackets. vibration might rub a hole in it and cause a fire in the future
