I'm surprised you guys don't fry more alternators than you do already. 😁 With higher rpms and riding limiter most of the time in drift setups a trick that might extend their life is to run a slightly larger pully, so the rotor/stator doesn't fry the bridge diode. You could buy extra diode packs to keep on hand and just replace them instead of the whole shebang!

Look at PowerBastards they make great alternators. 120amps at idle. High performance engine in a race car with a stock alternator? Viper chairs are great. I got one a few years back and have modded it with their side bumpers. I’ve got a seriously bad back and I use it in the kitchen as well as the garage. Great company making superior products.
