I'm studying for makeup artist and I have the two RCMA palettes and the thinner. But I like them mostly for shading and I would invest in liquid foundations later on. So this video is very handy for me :) Thanks
I love these types of videos. I'm not a makeup artist just a makeup lover but knowing what a professional uses on their clients is incredibly beneficial. Especially when, like in this video, you explain why you use it, why you like it, and that items best/specific use. Please keep these coming! 😊
Your videos have been soo helpful! I am a licensed Cosmetologist of 5 years now, but am just now starting my Freelance MUA business and have been researching kits. You are very thorough and professional, thank you!
THANK YOU SO SO SOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! foundations is the hardest to get an idea for a makeup kit for beginning makeup artists. You are amazing! I'm subscribed for sure!❤
I am really thinking I need to try that Illamasqua skin base lately, and after that glowing review I just might. I tend to use the MUFE Ultra HD in my kit but having a more matte foundation on hand would be a good idea to add in. The Matte Velvet may be the way to go there. I hear ya on the glass bottles! I used to carry the Revlon Colorstay and that was just an accident waiting to happen. lol. Loved the video! Thanks so much! xx
Hi! I just got illamasqua foundation and hydraveil and I was seriously impressed!!!! Thank you sooooooo much to show us incredible foundations. Both Mac face and body and illamasqua are now my favorite. Those are so effortless but effective. Thank you again! :)
I am no professional in anyway. still I find these videos of yours with information about your work and your tools highly interesting. I liked that one you did 3 years ago about bridal make up preparations. I think now I would recognize a good professional mua more easily when I see one. but mostly I keep watching most of these kind of videos from time to time because they are in a way entertaining. I like seeing people at their best in their work. of course I don't know how you REALLY work, as I have never seen you in a live situation, but you give the impression of being experienced and prepared. I like that. I love my cosmetician in my hometown because she is really dedicated to her work even on long days she is never indulgent. I admire that
Hi Sanni! I'm hoping the next video is about setting powders you use on your kit with each of these foundations/skin types. I'm not a makeup artist btw. I have dryer skin, especially during the winter. I love MAC Face and Body and I'm dying to know what setting powder you use with it! Love your videos! xx
No SPF and a plastic container is a gift from the heavens lol. We have almost the same kit contents. I'm still using my Zuca several years now but I've added the pro backpack to hold my table that folds to the size of a notebook. Cheers!
Love watching these sorts of videos :) my foundations are the bbu pallete i use this alot i love it!! Chanel vita lumiar aqua shades 10,30,50,70 love this for bridal, face and body same shades that you carry. i find that covers everything that i need it to :)
This was so useful, thank you! I carry F&B, Armani Luminous Silk (but I decant them into MUJI containers), Face Atelier for the darker shades and the BBU palette x
Thank you this was so helpful! I'm looking for a new foundation for oily skins so I'll definitely try the MUFE velvet mat. I currently use Mac face and body, BBU palette and Armani Luminous Silk but I do have to decant those. You look gorgeous Sanni, I love your top! Xx
Have you tried the Face Atelier Foundation? I really want to try it. Its silicone based though which I'm never usually a fan off. But you can also thin them out and they can be used as airbrush!
SamuelJ FA foundations are AMAZING!!! I use them for brides and photography all of the time Very mixable, satin skin like finish, med-high coverage Their adjusters and highlighters are THE BEST
I bought mac face and body foundation after watching this video and it was totally stunning! It was amazing! Thanks. Now I am waiting for some other shades arrive. :)
Love when you do these videos! ❤️ I stock my kit with MAC face and body (and a few from makeup forever) and MAC studio fix fluid. I have the white mixer from illamasqua (spelling?) but being in the states, it can be difficult to find. I neeeed to get my hands on that Bobbi Brown palette, though! ThNks for sharing! 😉
Such a wonderfully informative and lovely video Sani (hope I spelled itright) I remember your name having a unique spelling, hope my memory serves me right! I found you through Jodi aka Goo Roo Beauty's channel, whom mentioned your name, so constantly, singing your praises and just telling us how wonderful you are and how you'd love this particular product, or thanking you for suggesting a product. It was this Sani MissMai27 love affair year round for a number of years. So after hearing about you as much, made me finally look you up! For some reason RU-vid unsubbed me from you, I kid you not, on five separate occasions, it is extremely frustrating, because I have missed out on your videos. You are not the exception, I have been getting unsubbed on numerous people. Anyways went on a tangent there lol, you seem like such a doll, and quite informative. My fave foundation that is my tried and true, never has failed me and been in use from the moment I got it, that was way back in 2003. It is Luminous Skin by Armani. It is simply breathtaking, yet so skin-like, and a marvel in how it looks in photography- flawless! Another favourite is YSL Teint Touche Eclat- old formula, I am so angry they reformulated it grrr. I hear horror stories about this new version. I am a foundation addict, I have the Illamasqua Skin Base as well as it's primer, and about a total of 25 foundations- and here's the funny part, I am no Pro Artist, nothing of the sort hahahaha!! I just lurrrrve bases, they are my guilty pleasure :-)) Sorry this was a long post- in advance, bless your heart for reading it, wink wink :P
Love this video and the processus you do for trying a new foundation. I was wondering which Shades do you carry in illamasqua Foundations and Laura Mercier Oil free? Thank for letting me know :). Congrad for your channel!
Thank you very much for the video ! I bought the Laura Mercier Moisturizing Photo Edition foundation and I'm not convinced by this, beautiful in pictures but not in the "real life"... so having your thoughts on the Oil free one is great ! I'd love some more free lance work tips and products video ! ;)
I love these videos, they are so helpful! My favourite foundation for special occasions is the Illamasqua one. It is truly incredible and the shade #2 actually matches my skin tone perfectly. Do you know of any concealer that works well with this foundation and perhaps this specific shade? I own several concealers but non of them seem to match the foundation/my skin tone perfectly (except, if I remember correctly, the OCC concealer in R0). Right now I'm using the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly which is a bit too dark and yellow on me, and for under eyes Bobbi Browns corrector in Porcelain Bisque. Also, would you recommend the Illamasqua Primer for sensitive skin? Is it heavily fragranced?
Hi Sanni, can you share your recommendations for Cruelty Free foundations that you’d recently met for photography? I’m really wanting to find a foundation for my wedding but don’t know where to start, and since you are cruelty free now your advice is something I’d love to hear!!!! Please share, or direct me to a vid you have already if you have shared this advice already. Thanks!!! Xxx
Also, what is the best foundation for dry, very fair acne prone skin? I use Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream in the lightest shade but would like more coverage. I may try Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid or Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation???
Funny I carry mostly two my born this way and my Estée Lauder and they're both glass bottles !!! And also I have an undying love for my mufe ultra hd sticks !!! ❤❤❤ have The kryolan and the Bobbi brown palette and a few kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer. 👌🏻
Curious, have you tried MU4E's new Water Blend? Unfortunately, I don't know if it's in plastic. However, I was looking into it and wondered how you would rate or compare it. Thanks!!
i use RCMA and kevyn aucoin. I used the RCMA for longer and I love them because they last long and have every shade. the kevyn aucoin sensual skin enhancer i'm still getting used to. not sure if i like it as much or if its good for bridal. the guy who sold me them at the makeup show loved them. i should have just bought one shade...
I carry Mehron Pro Celebre HD foundations right now. It was a bit of a learning curve but they photograph beautifully. They do. it set on their own though so powder and fixing spray or both is a requirement if you don't want transfer. I am looking into getting Maq Pro foundations in my kit. have you tried those?
Thank you for great information...what would you use and how for deep acne scars? So tired of trying foundations for my skin. I am light in color and 61 years old.....lol
I have makeup forever ultra hd!! Thank you for your suggestions on what you love! I really want to get a palette, loud you Said, for convenience. Graftobian, or Rcma?
I have bb foundations sticks for my self and thinking about having it in my pro kit. Do you feel like it doesnt stay? When i wear it, It fades off at the 3hrs mark. ...any advice to help it to stay? I've never baked it because that's not the look I go for personally but wondering if I should do a full face baked to make it last longer
Mac Face and body looks beautiful on my dryer skin, but it breaks me out so badly. I am prone to a breakout or two, but this made my skin look like I was a teenager again sadly.
Puja Wahi I've only tried the BBU palette, I wasn't a fan of the shade range (not pale enough and not enough undertones especially for darker skin everything is just really really yellow) No love for olive, neutral and blue undertones I also think it clings to every dry patch, it's not as blendable/emollient as RCMA I sent it back but I loved the idea of the palette
