Understandable concerns, I played legacy for a short while before I converted to evrima. A lot of legacy was just running around hoping for something interesting to happen. For me it was just growing and going to the hot spots since the rest of the map was dead. Because it was overall so uneventful I never got to growing anything bigger than allo. In fact I mostly did dilo cause at least they had something going for them at nighttime, where the rest of the Dino’s could barely do anything at night.
9:00 Map size is not really a problem, the main problem with legacy is that it's no longer seen as a survival game, and since legacy lacks the mechanics to basically force people into behaving like it is one, it stops being a survival game when people don't treat it like that. This is the main reason why Legacy is a weird mix between a bird bath simulator and a deathmatch. Meanwhile in Evrima, at least with my experience with it's current state it's pretty much impossible to mixpack as a carnivore (which is one of the best sides of the last few updates) because since most carnivores can't consume their own species without getting heavily punished for it. Because of that and how rare food is, they have to try and hunt everything else they come across to get food and for their diet requirements so they can't risk keeping potential food source alive.
that's one of the part i don't like about evrima, i think you should have the choice between a server like that and one with mixpacking, and also stegs... I also think the game is going to much in that survival genra and because of that it's not so fun anymore... It is just my opinion tho.
@@emberdragons8244 I mean, The Isle has always been about giving the players a hardcore survival experience, and it's finally starting to go into that further, of course it needs quite a lot of polishing but that has always been their goal with the game. Also about the first part, well there is always community servers, I think the toxic behaviour like mixpacking would be a lot less of an issue if there were servers that had rules against it alongside servers that didn't which was pretty much the only good part of legacy because people who want to do that stuff could just go play on "no rule" servers. Or a better way would be devs adding features that discourage mixpacking further (and could be disabled by community server owners) and also an anti-cheat that actually works.
@@alunaticwithashotgun9840 thet is why i think it's in a weird state rn, most of the legacy players share my point of view and the other half (mostly evrima) think that it should be more survival based... And to keep both playerbases the dev are gonna need to let community servers have more possibilities and having more settings, so that evribody finds his place there... They will probably do that but for now I think I am going to stay on legacy. I very well understand your point of view tho! :)
Ultimate isle tutorial Walk > run > get rulebroke > sobb > mental breakdown > make ticket > get back on game > grow > die > grow > fight > die > get rulebroke > can’t make second ticket cause first isn’t done yet > grow > cry > die > grow > walk > sprint > die > quit game after 2k hours > uninstall
The Isle is now a game for a very small minority of players!! I tried the new version of this game and it was so bad.. like I recorded 90 minutes of my gameplay and it was just one issue and problem after the other until I left!! I will upload it to RU-vid but like my solution to The Isle as it is now was to uninstall it and be done with it!! Dondi wants his Jurassic Park / The Lost World Horror Survival KO & Ripoff.. that is fine.. but the fool did not realize he hit the top the the mountain with this game years ago with Version 3 or whatever it was!! I miss it.. I miss all the dinosaurs.. I miss the community.. I miss the endless fun.. the endless possibilities of what was coming and was promised to us that still to this date is denied to the community!! What we have now is a shadow of what we had all those years ago!!
I was gonna say that it’s cause it’s mostly smaller Dino’s we have now, but granted deino and stego don’t have sounds that make them feel heavier than any other big Dino, hope that gets fixed when rex and trike are added
I feel like there is alot more balance in evrima, most dinos can take eachother on. In legacy the dinos have such large size differences thats its usually bear impossible for some dinos to fight bigger ones without someone training in dm for their whole life
I'm sorry you're disappointed. I play Evrima every day and the map is not that big, the dinosaurs are very fast. In my opinion, migration zones are useful for finding other players. Sometimes I just have some lag issues. It's a 19 euro game so we can't ask for too much. I think it's great that the developers continue to update it.
Haven’t been around this channel for a while but I’m glad you escaped this hell hole :). The isle as a whole is just a complete mess and I’m not sure how long I’ll stick with it after almost 4 years of playing
The game it self is absolutely fine, i dont think that the game is the main issue, the main issue is the fact that u are playing legacy ( i dont know how it works there and if u have any official servers ) but u still play on a unofficial servers, so the main issue there is the comunity that joins those servers, but i do get ur point bcs me myself i play evrima on sermi-realism and it is fun and sometimes u get a rulebreak, but it is what it is and we all should remember that we are playing this game not for fun, but bcs we love dinosaurs, and we love to play as dinosaurs, yes it is alot of pvp and alot of time put into a game, bcs u cannot play the game as " quick game " its most of the time sessions of 3-4 hours of playing my point is, that yes.. rulebreaks sucks, but it is what it is but the game it self is just fine
dont worry i quit it too, its gotten unplayable at this point, i join a official server, 5 minutes later bum im disconnected, i try to rejoin and the game crashes, all this with a overclocked RTX 4070
i had a similar issue on evrima! It's really weird each time i join ten min after my pc would randomly crash even on the lowest settings (I have a very good one), so i got back on legacy
@@maestri1 that's the very weird part, it's my computer... I can easily run like any other games on the highest settings, I have a very good one with an RTX 3060 Ti. I tried multiple times with Century : Age of Ashes. Now it's fixed (because i changed the box and other things), but I still don't understand why I crashed, so it's alsosomething that made me quit evrima.
never had a good experience with the dry reef, i reported a guy that had literally 8 rule breaks and go off with a warning while I accidently attacked a large juvi on a nest i get a strike I also had an admin heal their bone break mid engagement (they broke their leg and /healed it)
@@TheLittlebobby3 There were multiple instances as i said. Including my friends and other people i know. If i were to talk about every ticket i made the video would span a couple days. ive also made many reports with enough evidence and never got anythign out of it because staff having bias towards players the yare friends with. im not arguing past here because i dont want a toxic enviorment, if you cant listen to thre video please dont comment
I play both and I think PoT is a better social experience than Evrima. There's more suspense in playing Evrima though, and with the added weather effects recently it's absolutely gorgeous. I think each game caters to a different game experience. I consider PoT a more casual/social experience. Evrima is trying to be a horror survival, but it's not quite there yet. Addition of Dilo both helped that and hurt that imo. There isn't enough roster to really enjoy the ecosystem they're trying to make yet. But I think it will get there in time.
I really wish I could play legacy and enjoy it, but with all the problems you list here being so common it’s very difficult to enjoy it. And don’t forget about the snipe hitboxes and drag biting..
So in your opinion how long should tickets take? 1 hour 3 hours 1 day 1 week? By what you said, only you matter, so if you are rulebroken on … your dino takes priority over ANY other players dino if they are rule broken on? 3 days sounds relatively reasonable to get a free dino back… I mean if it was up to you you could just give everyone Dino’s yeah? No need for a fun gameplay just free Dino’s for everyone. Oh I also heard staff don’t get paid so 3 days is hella fast. Lulz carno
All I'm hearing is whine whine whine people team up and break rules and i can't fight them fair. Boo Hoo dude are you 5? Ticket for getting your dino back. Shoot i might not play the isle but you're certainly the only reason i wouldn't not any of the reasons you listed
His concerns/complaints were made after 1500 hrs of experience, and you’re here, with no experience (your words), judging and bullying him based on his concerns? Labeling them as childish? These are very real things that happen in The Isle that I’m not surprised can push people away from the game, that I’ve also experienced myself in legacy. Just please take some consideration
You understand the problems the more you play. At first it was fun because you get to learn all the mechanics but the more yoh play it the more redundant and boring it gets. Then you start realizing the problems with the game. I usually didnt have problems fighting megapacks if they followed most of the rules but its annoying and it made the game less enjoyable. Thanks for defending me guys
