Hello friends, thank you so much for watching! I recorded this video for work in publishing week but it was quite an emotional one to film retracing the steps of my career. I hope it was interesting and helpful to hear what has worked for me 😊
This video was the kind of help I needed now. I’m currently studying Italian Literature in Italy, I’d really like to work in publishing but the italian “market” isn’t really for me (less opportunity and flexibility do not encourage students to work here ahah). I found you on tiktok and while I was watching your videos I was like “okay, she must have studied economics or at least she must be from the UK”. My jaw dropped when I found out that we’re from the same country and studied similar things!. I was really looking forward to do the MA in the Uk, but before I’ll finish university (I’m recently started my 2 year) I will surely try to do the Erasmus+ in England (or at leas in a country where english is the first language). I am going to watch a lot of you video in the near future. Thank you so much, you’re an inspiration❤
Thanks for the beautiful and descriptive vedio. Although I am from a different field, I identify with a lot of challenges.. As I am in that phase now, and your vedio has really helped me believe that i can get through it being better than I was. Thank you once again for sharing your journey...
You’re an inspiration 💫 love hearing your story. I think it’s incredible that English isn’t your first language, and so brave / dedicated of you to move countries for your dream job
Thank you so much for sharing your publishing journey, this is so helpful and inspiring! I absolutely loved hearing your story. Wishing you the very best
Wow, thank you for sharing your publishing story! I truly believe that publishing is a great industry to work in, but it's so hard to find stories from professionals about their experiences. Best of luck with your future endeavors!
Thank you Alyssa!! I really love when others share their professional stories, it's such a powerful thing to do (though not always easy) to support others aspiring to take a similar path! 😊
Thanks for all the insights.. I’m applying to some universities for publishing and hope to get into one of them next year..I’m a bit nervous since I’m 32 years old but I want to follow my dreams…at least I will be happy 😊
It’s really interesting to hear your journey, I think everyone finds publishing in different ways. I did an internship at OUP, it was my first publishing job and I loved it. I’d love to work there again one day 😊
