Joey. Make her a covering. She wants a roof over her head to feel nice and closed in and safe. It doesn't have to be super low to the point you can't easily see into the box. Like a triangle extending across the corner so you don't have to duck down to see the box would still help her.

Joey! Papaya seeds are *amazing* for healing and revitalizing the liver. My husband's liver doc actually recommended them in particular. Tell Maria to dry them like you would pumpkin seeds. Spread out on a cookie sheet, for example. The bits of fruit will dry, shrivel up, and wipe off easily after they are dried. The seeds will look like peppercorns when dried and the best thing to do is grind them up with a motor and pestle or cleaned/new pepper grinder. A teaspoon, -or even less if you are starting out with a healthy liver-, a day or every few days put in teas (This is the easiest way to take them.), yogurt, etc. should be good. Don't overdo it as this is strong naturalistic medicine here and you don't want to get sick from detoxing or even healing your liver too quickly. Papaya seeds is an amazing find for anyone, but I think you should look into this as well, Joey, considering the health issues you've battled. Lastly, tell Maria I think she is lovely. An absolutely beautiful soul. She reminds me of my grandmother from the old country that was the only one in my family to love and accept me regardless of my sexuality. She had to support me quietly, but it meant everything. My family played it pretty cool as long as I kept on the down low and they didn't even dare to kick me out until after she passed away. Having a loved one from that part of the world that loves you for you no matter what is an enormous blessing. Daniel's story has always struck a personal chord with me, and I am glad that he (And, you now!) have the family that continued to love and support him-, even if silently for a time-, through coming out still with you.
