Great purchases this month, Nick, lots of interesting restorations to come the cabinets were a bargain glad you got a tri deck transporter. All the best Martin
Cheers Martin, yes I had a good month with the cabinets and finally a tri-deck that can do with a bit of a restoration, I’m looking forward to doing that one👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hi Nick a very nice collection of model there I do like the big blue truck I think it's a French dinky 803 . The triple Decker car transport is nice and also the hurricane very nice model . As for the 2 cabinets you got very nice 👍👌 Ralph
Thank you Ralph, yes I did ok this month, the French dinky is a nice truck, very heavy model, the old triple decker car transporter will be nice to do, been looking for one for a while, the hurricane is in very good condition and I was dead chuffed to get the cabinets, been after some of those for a long while too! Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Thank you Rick, All good here thanks, I hope you are well, I’m really pleased you enjoyed the video, I was lucky with the cabinets, I’ve been looking for a long time for some so I was really pleased to find these👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Love the tractor and the Priestmann crane - both of these are pretty rare now, I think - I have not seen a tracked crane EVER! I have to say that I cannot be doing with anything that has Whizzwheels or the Dinky equivalent: the Vanwall was much nicer, and I have been looking for a Bond bug SPECIFICALLY to ditch the Whizzwheels! Impala late-model wheels on the Citroën - I didn't know those wheels were so popular! I picked up a Yesteryear Mercer Raceabout to do duty as a prop on a small trailer, being towed by a Dinky Ford Pilot, and a similar Corgi trailer to yours: I think they were originally designed to take the Corgi 'loads' - bricks, cement bags, milk churns and timber, I think. Nice Marcos Volvo, though in need of some TLC. Confession time: I skipped the smallies!
I had a good month at the auctions, but as you see to get the good models you end up with some not so good ones. I remember in the early eighties when they started building the new marina and ferry terminal here in Jersey, Shepherd Hill had two or three tracked cranes, one of which they had on a big floating platform. I don’t blame you for skipping the small stuff, I do like some of the older matchbox models though and this time there were several that I had as a kid which I was pleased to have. All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Nice collection of castings you have there nick looks like your going to be a very busy boy over the next few months. You have done rather well with your last two lots of purchases. Take care.👍
Thank you Ian, yes I’ve had a good month at the auctions, I have quite a few of the donations to restore first though before I start on these. Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
Thank you Stuart, I will have another look at the Citroen DS as I didn’t really take notice of it more than that doing the video, I need to go through all the models properly, so thanks for that I won’t touch if it has the cast in spotlights👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
