I purchased those exact Wonder grip gloves about a year ago in size medium. I have rather large hands so the mediums were a little bit too tight on my arthritic fingers and I like to have my fingertips exposed so I can grab threads, etc. So I cut the fingertips off, but I didn't throw them away. I still use the gloves when I quilt and I use the fingertips as flexible thimbles for basting.

A trick: you can watch movies at flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies lately.

I wear machingers. They feel light weight and breathable. (You use Murphy’s Oil Soap to clean the white tips, then wash with regular soap to clean the whole pair of gloves).Thank you for sharing, it’s fun nice to know of more types of gloves. Chris-Raleigh NC

My husband brought me a pair of gloves with that same kind of grip that he has used with electrical components on his job. I like them because my hands get too hot with Machiners gloves but not with the other ones. I have about 4 pair now.

The gardening gloves for 2.00 and under are at my local Kroger grocery stores. They also have them at Home Depot and Lowes. They also have them at UHaul to help when moving your home. Quilters that gauge other quilters should be ashamed of themselves. Not talking about you Laura but the company you bought them from when all they are is gardening gloves that can be sourced many places for 2 dollars or less. Harbor Freight probably has them too. The folks at my local Aldi grocery store are the ones that told me where they get theirs which is at the Kroger around the corner from them. See, those cashiers use them at Aldi because they are handling a lot of cans and jars and those cashiers are extremely fast and they could have a can or jar slip from their hands without their trusty garden gloves.

DOLLAR TREE has gripped gloves. They work beautifully! I met a man that buys them all the time. He said he loved them 👍

I did the same thing Laura. We were on vacation and wandered into a discount store and they had some garden gloves on sale for $1.00. I have arthritis and large hands so have been looking for gloves that aren't too tight because it makes my hands ache. Tried them on and bought them. I love them and the price was certainly right.

I have used the Fons&Porter quilting gloves for a number of years and just love them. They grip very well and are light weight. However, I did find a pair of gloves similar to your Wonder Grip Gloves at the Swap meet in the tool section of one stand. They also work very well.

Cannot even begin to thank you enough for this video. I have been wearing Machingers EXsmall for years because they are the only gloves that fit my child size hands. On your recommendation, I purchased these gloves and OMG...what amazing gripping power. They fit perfectly and really help tremendously with my arthritic fingers!!!

Nice Laura. I also use garden gloves. Just cheap ones. I’m going to check these out. I like the ones I use but if I can’t get them I now have an option thanks to you. Thank you so much.

I tried similar gardening gloves but found they were too hot to wear for long, so I got the ones that are knitted with rubber dots on the fingers and palms. They work great for FMQ. I paid about $4 for three pairs,

Funny, when I first started quilting I thought "I have a brand new pair of garden gloves, why not use them?". I love the grip and comfort of them. I have quite large hands and arthritic fingers, so need a large glove. I found a similar pair at the dollar store, but these have a velcro closure at the wrist and the tabs are starting to shred. I should take the time to fix them, lol!

Before you throw away your original pair of gloves, please ask at your local hardware store for some kind of tool grip product. (Usually a liquid that you can dip your tools into to coat the handles ... or tips ... providing a rubberized grip.) It MAY be worth it to test the product first on the worst pair to see if it works the way you'd like.

This subject is over a year old so maybe no one will read this. New use for quilting gloves: they were literally a shoulder-saver for me trying to put compression thigh high hose on my husband following total knee replacement. They also work well for smoothing the hose up, eliminating any areas that might crease and cause problems.

I love my machingers, but the small is a bit large on me. Maybe next pair will be the xsmall. Thanks for sharing, it’s good to know there’s another comfortable machine quilting glove out there.

I love the garden gloves you can buy at Costco. They look a lot like Laura's gloves and you can get them in four different clothes. I think I got about six pair for $20. I gave my Mom three pair because she loves them for gardening and I have the other three for sewing.

I use gorilla grip gloves, from the big box hardware store. They work great. Just like yours, they may not be quilting gloves but they fit and aren’t hot. I can thread a needle with them on.

Ibalked at the price of the quilting gloves and one day happened upon some gardening gloves that looked the same only different colours. I purchased the garden gloves at a lot lower price and have been using them with no problems. Sorry can't remember the name of them.

OMG, I have the same size hands! About the "worn out" gloves: have you thought about cutting off the worn tips of theindex fingers so you can thread your needle without taking off your gloves? Just a suggestion.

I work at UPS and have child size hands and had a favorite glove that I used for years but then the company discontinued making the grade of glove that work for me in the size I wear. The make them in the larger men's size but not the smallest size. I have contacted the company and they said they don't plan on making the glove in grip grade I need in the size I need.

I always have a problem finding gloves small enough for me I have narrow hands but long fingers so if they fit the hand the fingers are too short and if they have the length in the fingers they slide off. I use the Fons and Porter gloves and I actually cut the end off the index finger and the thumb to make them a little more comfy. Eventually all the finger tips wear through.

I wear Machingers. They fit well enough. However there is color transfer from the fabric to the gloves and I DO NOT like this. They are NOT WASHABLE. Overall, I would not recommend them. I think this makes them OVERPRICED.
