Nice bike, but......91% at start 0:37 and 50% after 14 min 14:53 this is problem. Good news for amateurs - we not so fast, so you can ride twice longer )))
It's not a huge problem - you can charge at your pit on generator for now. I can see tracks opening up charging stations (generate more revenue in the future) and no need to haul fuel. I love my electric big time! (and my gas bikes)
@@rt5arge i also love gas bike and electric. I have Sherco, my friend has Stark and we can spend 3 hours in the forest together. But my friend dont`t like fast riding, because in this mode 40-60 minutes is a limit for him.
@@THAxBLiNt Overall ebikes should help the sport a ton. We will be able to have tracks in cities and in our back yard without complaints. Where I live now, we used to roll down the driveway and ride. But now that land is gone, the nearest private track is over an hour drive, the nearest public land we can ride on is almost 4 hours away. Hopefully ebikes will open up more options. I can't wait, hopefully it will happen before I'm too old to ride!
@@rt5argeDude stop trying to make excuses and defend this bike “ its not a huge problem “ IT IS A HUGE PROBLEM ITS BATTERY POWERED BIKE THAT GETS WORSE AND LESS CONSISTENT WITH EACH % OF CHARGE IT GOES DOWN. have you even rode one? i had mine for a month and got rid of it. absolute pile of garbage
It’s about time! Haha, J/k, what did you think? Weight and battery life are my my top concerns… my last concern is (yeah, call me a panzy, but whatever I’m old and don’t care)… safety. That one gear can do 90+, normally your rear tire is limited by your selected gear and your rev limiter. That doesn’t exist on this thing. Seems like a nightmare if you whisky throttle. Anyways, hopefully you find some time to reply. Thank you for the excellent upload and I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.
Being able to work your way through the power modes to find a setting that is comfortable is where this bike shines. A 450 always has 450 power. But you can completely change the power dynamics on the fly from your bar pad. It's really incredible.
Damn that looks so smooth. Gotta get one. I rode moto bros Okeechobee yesterday. Was talking to a dude with a stark. They only have that track in Punta Gorda? So amazing what this company did first year
On Dyno; with electric motor when you start(GAZ) full throttle, like of any kind of motor need to work against enertia; ...at this time, amps, watts up fast, when u obtain the peak, maybe you can read near your 80Hp the time duration of this curve not more then a seconde you CAN'T feel that it's verry fast up and down, down to +-6.7hp in continue that is your real HP
Surprised your head still fits in your helmet with how big it has gotten recently. "He knows not to call me without scheduling"....bro you teach moto classes, you ain't god. Bald AJ never would have acted like that.
You know how a 450 is harder to turn in than a 250 because of the rotating mass? Is this even easier than a 250 to dive into corners? Also, check out an F-150 powerboost. Built in generator to charge it!
Everyone always starts in the lower modes. Then when the battery is low they go up. If you want full effect go all it from the start. After all you don't have much ride time
i used to get intimidated if i raced you at Walden(think it was walden) when i was like 7. i was 3 years younger but my dad would put me in the same class as AJ catanazaro and i would be like “i’m gonna follow this kid as long as i can” on the start but everyone knew he was fast af!!!!
very nice riding!! i decided to have 60hp as max now, its quite funny how 80 hp is just too much for any such situation other then jumping 400ft or maybe backflip rotation. 40 hp allows you to use the full throttle range which i love! 50-55-60 is my sweet spot.
Me riding and practising thinking when I get better this won’t be scary…… watch AJ….. a serious pro…. “Whoa, whoops, forgot about the foot brake, arm pump”….. I guess this sport never ever gets easier.
Race pace at 60hp, since 80 hp is unusable, if your lucky 25 minutes…. Swap in your $8k spare battery trackside….. nope. And a minimal 4 hour recharge time… in other words, the Varq is a 1 Pump Chump.. and don’t forget, cash poor Stark requires 100% up front payment …and many have been waiting 2 years, yes 2 years and still have not taken delivery….
@@BERZERKER888 as I expected man lol cool but still a long way from being anywhere near the riding time of 1 tank of fuel. Not worth the money at all but I’d still love to have a go just to feel the instant power
@@BERZERKER888From what I heard it's down to 3 months now. When I ordered It was more than 1 year. With the latest update it seems battery life is a bit better but still not multi-hour races. I would buy 2 instead of buying the extra battery.
Depends on power, weight and condition. I haven't ridden track yet only Enduro, Stark released an update a few days ago increasing the range, i ride at 45hp, after a 2 hour enduro ride i still had 70% battery.
a motor 80hp, really u sure of that; 1hp=746watts, * 80hp= 59 680watts. a motor who have that power for real. the weith probably around 600 pounds. oh! aaaa your Battery power maybe 6500watts but for exemple i give you 10 000watts; 10 000watts/59 680watts/hrs= +-6min. in a verry perfect condition. your body weiht scrap the perfect condition, density of the ground, tire pressure and more... scrap the perfection, mayby 3min. of autonomy. Seriously you have maybe a motor of 5000watts+- if he run at 80volts the charge will be apply it's 62.5amps/hrs. ; your real power is 5000watts/hrs/746watts= 6.7hp. hmmmmmm! i think it's verry far of 80Hp. have a good ride!
GOOD rider but in electricity, math you need to learn couples of things .Hope you have fun with your +-25min. autonomy when you gaz to have fun. stop to tell you have power of 80 HP it's NOT TRUE and it's verry far of 80hp it's more arround 6.7HP
Let’s see. $13k .. up front….spare battery $8500, 4 hour recharge time , battery swap ?.. hahhaaa… and best yet 25 minute race pace, limp mode and you’re day is done. The Stark “1 Pump Chump” Varq…
@@trevonbrown5084 Answered your own question What was cooler, actually going over to see your friends back in the day, or pick up your phone twiddle your thumbs and hit send?
Can't believe the rear break is no longer where it belongs on this bike. That is a complete no go for me at my age and I am sure the same for folks younger than me. Outside of that, concerns about battery life, charging, costs to replace battery, etc. I will reserve any other thoughts or judgements at this time cause I obviously never rode it.
I've seen the stsrk varg in person and after learning things about it I can say it's not worth it. Especially for racing purposes with tight windows for pit stops. The bike alone is 13k+ and then you need to add a generator with a 120v shocket then your set but it's soo much easier with a gas bike
@@otero2235It has regeneration and the front brake is actually good (Brembo). You can choose to have the regular rear brake if you want but once you learn to use the hand rear brake you'd never go back
AJ, you probably get loads of people giving you suggestions as you’re a trainer. You probably think you know it all or most of it. Here’s a tip the fastest riders in the world over the last 50 years. I’ve not worried about technique they’ve been the guys who want to win the most technique goes out the way, so throw all that away mate, get on the bike thinking about winning not about what your posture looks like
That might work for champions with other worldly talent, it doesn't work so well for your average guy throwing a leg over the seat every other weekend.
@@RogerT-kt3zd Local tracks. MX is a dying sport thanks to tracks closing down. Noise complains are killing the sport and hobby. Same with Enduro tracks that are semi local, hikers etc are complaining about sound levels of enduro riders which results in them getting banned. What (if you have any) points do you have against them?
