I do too! And I've heard this song probably over 1000 times! It's at the very top of my all time favorites in any genre! No matter what I'm doing, I stop immediately if this song comes starts playing. It's like I'm incapable of focusing on anything else if this song is playing! ❤

Two of the greatest legends in music history , sitting shoulder to shoulder. This song always gives gives me goosebumps. No version is performed by 1 of them and is supported by the other as any title suggests. Ray and Willie performed this masterpiece as a duet, equally credited in my opinion. Truly , a musical masterpiece.

I'm glad you interrupted and recognized Ray Charles. I loved hearing him sing. One of my favorites memories was when Ray and Willie sang as part of the group of amazing powerhouse singers who participated in USA for Africa and sang "We Are The World". If you get a chance you should listen to it if you haven't heard of it. The sad part for me is when I watch that video I think of all these amazing talented people who are no longer with us. U.S.A. 2 legends. 1 piano, no egos, just music. Seven Spanish Angels is one of my favorites. I love how Willie showed his age by saying, "phonograph record." LOL I've often wondered how much better the world would be if we were all blind like Ray and unable to see skin color. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp also started Farm Aide in 1985 to help struggling family farmers.

The older singers would sing from the heart and they told their stories in song . Having a great voice is not as important as being able to pour out your emotions into a song that everyone at one time or another has gone through.

Nobody thought this pairing would work. But this would become one of Willie's biggest and most memorable hits and a true masterpiece. Willie and Ray would go on to work together on a number of occasions, and would also form a friendship that would last the rest of Ray's life.

I am so glad you took so many of our suggestions and reacted to this glorious song! If you have never seen the movie "Ray" with Jamie Foxx please watch it. His story is amazing and Jamie does a phenomenal job playing Ray Charles. A great song of Willie's is "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain."

Two legends, singing a great song. How can anyone not like this song. Two Willie Nelson songs that always make me stop what I'm doing, and listen, are, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, and, Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. But it's hard to pick a bad Willie Nelson song.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I love both artists individually, but when you bring these two LEGENDS together you can’t help but have an amazing song, plus the song itself is amazing, the lyrics are so strong abd moving, but these two incredibly artists put their own spin to them and make it that much greater. By the way you are incredibly cute, Gitana. I hope that last part doesn’t make Donovan upset or jealous.

In the early 60s Ray Charles did an album titled " Modern Sounds in Country and Western" one of those songs was a massive hit and possibly his single most played song. I Can't Stop Loving You think it topped all the charts.

Here's something you may not be aware of, are you aware that Willie has a Reggae album? Check out Worried Man he did with Toots Maytall (rest in Peace, he passed in September? Oh and this particular Reggae tune) It was written by none other than the Man in Black- Johnny Cash..... enjoy it!

Never a bad one from Willie Nelson or Ray Charles. Try Nelsons "Blue eyes crying in the rain", or "Mommas don't let your sons grow up to be cowboys". For Ray Charles try "Hit the road Jack", "Don't let the sun catch you crying" or "Georgia on my mind". For a fun view of mid-america country angst try Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynns cover of "You're the reason our kids are ugly".

You have great taste!! I am thrilled that you have started listening to Willie!!! He is simply THE BEST (IMHO)! Where to go from here... Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground, On the Road Again, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, his Crazy/Whiskey River/Night Life Medley, All of Me, and tons and tons of more great ones. He is simply the best IMO. And he did so many different styles, putting his spin on each. He’s a national treasure. (Added: he does a great version of That Lucky Old Sun, if you want to hear a great song that perhaps not as many people are aware of as the other suggestions)

Hello from Alabama (United States), this is a classic with two music ICONS and a great storytelling song as well. Your reactions are delightful and even your somewhat befuddled start to the video come across as charming. Please keep up the good work, if you are considering more Country music reactions consider Waylon Jennings "This Outlaw bit" or Kris Kristofferson "How to beat the Devil" who along with Willie Nelson and your favorite Johnny Cash formed The Highwaymen, and any song of The Highwaymen album is great (no decorations yet just a Mr. Grinch poster on the door at the office)

I grew on both of these phenomenal singers and they just complemented each other. When Ray got this song he originally refuse to record it unless he was allowed to record it with Willie.
