@@ysgol3 Correct, all cops should have liability insurance before allowed out in public places imo, they can break laws as they wish with the punishment being a slap on the wrist or suspended on full pay for a short time, they never learn from their actions because some-one pays for their stupidity.
When they train police officers they make sure they remove all common sense from them, and make sure they understand that the general public are the enemy.

We have some great coppers out there. The ones who treat their uniform and the public with respect. I know a few. It's the corrupt ones I detest. The coppers who don't give a second thought about breaking the law, to keep their quota up or for a sniff of promotion. I detest them. It's got to a point where if a police officer asked me for the time of day, I would record and live stream the interaction untill I "ascertained" he/she was one of the good ones.

20:50 Police cannot detain outwith an arrest except in three specific circumstance, 1) breach of the peace, 2) stop and search, and 3) when searching a property. Any other detainment is unlawful. And most definitely if the detainment is purely to ascertain someone's ID. Yardley Ski got £800 for a short detainment and the unlawful use of section 43. DJ could've claimed around the same if not more since no criminal offence was mentioned and therefore there is no excuse.
