Love the ‘Collection of Thoughtful Makes’ ❤ Everything looks so well made, tailored and beautiful on you. Having a thoughtful approach produces a superior result (I.e., planning, design, problem solving, resourcefulness, slow sewing).
In all honesty, your "flower pirate" blouse has been a favourite of mine since the day you made it. I happen to love the print and style. It looks great on you.
He he, I like it too! I saved the pattern and I will be using it again, perhaps for a solid silk chiffon, I think this simple design will be great in a solid color and very appropriate for work wear or special occasions, too :) Thank you, Joanne! Oh, there is a Members Extra video that goes for this blouse, if you haven't seen it, just let me know and I will drop you a link here :)
I loved this! In a world of fast fashion and constantly chasing trends, it's such a breath of fresh air to see you create these beautiful pieces that reflect your personal style and make you look your best! You've inspired me to get back to sewing again now that my baby girl is 17 months old and I think I can find some free time for myself again 😅 thank you for this!
I love all your Fall 2024 outfits.❤ You seem to pick the right fabrics and patterns for the pieces you make. That is the one thing I have a hard time with. Thank you for all you do. 🥰
Love all of them! They all look great on you. I love the fact you love colors and patterns, and you make them so beautiful and stylish. It is joyful to watch. I am sure they are joyful to wear
I am so glad, Lana! There is also a PDF catalogue for Fall Season on Google Drive, I just forgot to mention it in this video. It sits outside all of the folders, so as soon as you open Google Drive, just look below the folders and you will find it :)
Hi Alisa! This is a beautiful wardrobe, thank you for sharing! I love that first blazer, it’s such a darling print. I sincerely appreciate this video!!
I realize this is late, Congratulations on becoming a naturalized citizen! I remember going to my mom's ceremony in the 60s. Because she was naturalized she was such a huge help in my civics classes. These handmade wardrobe round ups are great inspiration. I especially like that some of the items are not brand new makes. I like that your style is feminine but not fussy.
Congratulations on your Naturalization Day! So happy to have you here in the U.S.A.! Definitely you needed special cLothes for that special day. I am also very happy to know that you honor that Eve t by actually continuing to wear that outfit and reflecting on that day. I hope you always are able to evoke those feelings. Loved the vlog. Your clothes seem to work together "seamlessly". So very much orange! Looks great on you though. From my Texas home to yours; Happy Fall, Ya'll!
I love your fall wardrobe! I have been experimenting with my patterns since I started sewing several years ago, and I’ve recently realised that a lot of what I have isn’t my colour/style. I’ve gifted many things but I’m still finding that I don’t really like my remaining “trial versions”! Your video was very helpful in reminding me of how “not put together” I feel - and it has given me quite a few ideas about what to do about it. So thank you, so much!
I’ve been wanting some labels and I didn’t know what I wanted written on them, I’m so pleased I watched this video and I’m going to steal your ‘made in’ idea
I loved seeing all of these, thanks Alisa! I think my favourite is the orange cardigan with the lovely big buttons, but as a fellow flower pirate/inner granny, it was hard to pick just one 😁
Hi Thanks for this video, all are very lovely but when you wear pink you look especially beautiful. It's one of your colors that you need to wear more of. It shows off your beautiful skin and hair.
I do odour consultancy and have been trying to work out exactly which season you are. That Pumpkin swearter has made my mind up. You are definitely an Autumn! You should wear more colours in your season, you glow when you do
I love everything in your fall wardrobe. I keep hoping I'll get to make my own wardrobe pieces. Where I live in the desert of California, it's spring and summer about 10 months of the year and sort of a fallis season in Dec and Jan. I LOVE long sleeve t-shirts and sweaters, but unfortunately, they aren't practical for me and so I live vicariously through you and your other members. But I do want to make seasonal short sleeve tops, and that will come. Thanks for all the videos I can look back on to get my inspirations.♥
I love to see a wardrobe of clothes that look so wearable. So often, there's a load of clothes with hardly any "outfits", no wonder you hear "I have nothing to wear" from people with 5 times as many clothes as me.
I love your creativity and expert sewing skills! You inspire me! I’ve been searching all over for the type of sweater knit you used to make the orange cardigan and the pink and white sweaters. Could you please share where you purchased it?
Love everything you’ve made. Very fashionable but cozy and cuddly for winter. I have a question on pants. I need to open up waist just in back about 1/2- 3/4 inches. I know I go from inner to outer seam and don’t cut all the way through the outer seam but make a hinge. The thing is my back is in two parts . My pants back is split from top of waist to hem with 1/2 dart at top on one side and the other matching side of dart on other side. Also need to do opposite under crotch I need to raise up under crotch about 1/2 “ to reduce bagginess under crotch area but again pants back is in 2 parts. Not clear on how to do these things with back in 2 parts. Can anyone help?
