@haruyanto8085 your comment is why it's needed. There is no 1 way to build a team. There are many, each MoC is different and we have new end game challenges very soon. As you get more characters you're going to want to make changes just to keep it fresh. It's also a good opportunity to get weird with game mechanics. How much can you break the mould? Etc.
Ruan Mei will undoubtedly be better... Because the MoC blessing will cater to her. I'd like to see this comparison on the next MoC12, but that will be a month later and everyone will have forgotten about this by then.
I'm honestly glad that this is a healthy and mature way to handle this entire situation with my favorite content creators that I respect a lot, not only for the reliable and on point content, as well as the same mindset when it comes to handling debates and all. About "theorycrafting vs reality", I absolutely agree with u MrPokke. I know we don't need a genius to tell us that Dual Damage Dealers set-up with RM will be meta in version 1.6 or above, but even so it's still a _theory_ . Personally I prefer having lower expectations than overhype it only to find out that their performances is lower than your initial thought.

Furthermore Day1 impression can be very different with Day7 due to more testing & information gathering. I don't mind being proven wrong, but again IMO it's better to have low expectation but later being surprised that she outperforms, rather than overhype her only to find out that she underperforms. This is coming from player who think RM is "better" than Bronya (still don't have Bronya till this day) and will be a Day1 RM haver.
CN already has this game’s combat system fully simulated in a web browser. Ruan Mei is better than Bronya in almost all situations and brings underperforming units like Topaz + Jing Yuan teams and Kafka teams more in line with Jingliu and DHIL. The old meta revolving around Bronya is dead in 1.6, anyone saying otherwise is coping. Jingliu’s best team actually has no Bronya in 1.6 and it’s Blade, Ruan Mei and Huohuo
I followed the leaks from the dedicaced subreddit closly, but I have seen no evidence that Ruan Mei is better than Bronya, at least not since her nerf. Like you said Jingliu best team is with Blade, Ruan Mei and Huohuo, but have seen any evidence, theorycraft or video that support this claim ? Personnally I havn't seen a single team damage calculation since her nerf. I would love a comparison with Jingliu/Bronya/Ruan Mei/Huohuo.
Her kit was changed, cause during beta test we realised action delay was more valuable than action forward, action forward is antisynergistic with ruan mei's kit

I still think there are too many variables to consider to make a general statement. If we bring Ruan Mei in a team against for example Swarm boss, can we ensure that we can break toughness consistently to "sustain"? To replace hypercarry team comps with Ruan Mei fulfilling hyper support and most importantly sustain roles is very hard to determine whether it will work overall, because it all boils down to the enemies we are facing and the amount of them. you can have 3 enemies all with different weaknesses and maybe this can be overcome with multi DPS with corresponding weakness types. However, it is difficult to determine anything rn.
Even if she's not able to solo sustain every fight, she is definitely making your preservation/abundance character's job easier. This is especially important to those who don't have a 5* sustain. It's not only the delay but also the fact that you break the enemy faster, potentially before they can charge up their nuke. You have to match weaknesses to get full benefit from her kit but you should be doing that anyway to maximize dps. I think there will be situations where she's just good and others that she will completely trivialize by solo sustaining. And if you trivialize one side of MoC that means more time for the other side.

I love it when you said theorycrafting is just theorycrafting. And there's so many variables affecting in actual practice. That's very important to point out. Being so sure about a theory counters the point of it being a theory. That's why we have so many players immediately claims a character to be cracked then a minute later call them trash. Theory can only help you up to certain extent. Taking up the practice as a player is always going to be a different scenario.

I also believe that some characters are just generally better than the others. But you can only theorize general assumptions because there's lots of variables involved in this game such as RNG, stats, equipments, characters you own, the enemies involved etc. And you can't account all of them for each and every player out there. That's why some characters might shine in some scenarios, and some don't. Also, your character is not going to be the same for everyone. Your Seele might be sht but other's Seele might be cracked. Seele's tier is just a general assumption done by theorycrafters based on face value. It's not a representation of how good your Seele is in an actual battle. And don't tell me that investing in "powercrept" characters is inefficient in resources. You can spend 40 TBP and luckily get a cracked gear or you can spend an entire year farming and not getting one. That sht is RNG. About the Ruan Mei vs Bronya thing, I genuinely believe that Ruan Mei is going to be better than Bronya in general scenarios. But the thing that Smack insinuates is that Bronya will lose her value just because Ruan Mei is going to be better. Even extends his disputable point by saying that Tingyun is better than Bronya. But I think it's just him trying to win an argument. But how do you take him seriously as a "theorycrafter" if he just casually say stuff like that just to convince everyone that Bronya is bad. i think that u guys are disagreeing in what a good clear is, for me 0 cicles doesn't matter, just doing 3 stars is the most important thing, and a suport being universal is extremely important becouse not everyone is going to have the bests dps in the game, i don't think that bronya is very good even rigth now becouse u can only use bronya in her full potencial with blade or jingliu, she just use too many skill points to use with others dps, and if u use bronya with auto E auto E she loses a lot of her potencial and others suports like asta or pela can provide similar value

yeah, but the key word to pokke statements is comfortability, which also means consistency. Those showcases werent comfortable and required resets to get good RNG. Also its funny that they were against the exact bosses that Pokke said were the exception cause of how they work lol.

I do agree that the number of resets is relevant, but even if you do it first try that doesn't matter if a dumbass like me can't replicate it, so it's hard to quantify what exactly is "comfortable enough" to count without something like Genshin's KQM standard for build strength. Better for Pokke to see them and refute them as opposed to not knowing they exist.

7:50 I do have to disagree slightly here. Blade + Jingliu is able to go for some 0/1 cycles and clear MoC very comfortably. While I do prefer Jingliu hypercarry builds myself, I've seen too many people do MoC with Blade + Jingliu with ease to agree with you that this is not a valid competitive duo DPS comp. OKCode uses this team a lot if you want a lot of footage from it from someone who generally builds their characters well and such. Just because it isn't Jingliu's strongest setup, doesn't mean it's not good enough as a duo team to cross the threshold of being competitive, in my opinion, despite me myself not using it. Then again, I do a lot of duo DPS comps, but I do drop the sustain when I do so, but I'm very much so an end game player with 100's of +15 relics and 20ish fully built characters with most of their traces filled out, so I'm not the typical player by any means.
MOC 10? Lol have you looked at the weaknesses this cycle? Or you just talking randomly? Past two MOC 10s it’s not possible to even 3 cycle with that comp
@@fridaynight5996 OkCode did the last True King in 1.5.x MoC 10B in 3 cycles with it I believe first try, i.e. not fully optimized. But, I was speaking more so in a general sense as a Duo DPS setup is going to want the stage to be mostly weak to both DPS used to see it be excellent, as one of the benefits of a Duo setup is being able to break far faster which wouldn't come into play if both didn't match the enemy weaknesses. E.g. sort of like how Mr.Pokke says how he can't really test Topaz + Himeko due to a lack of a suitable stage. With that said, Topaz + Jing Yuan was able to 0 cycle MoC 10 A on the MoC of Topaz's release with a sustain so long as investment was great enough in the comp. But, that's more of a side note. Things like enemy element and even the imprint buff does play a factor to certain comps being able to do 0/1 cycles or not, for sure. I agree there. For me, when I use duo DPS comps for 0/1 cycles, I'm generally matching the enemy weaknesses with the duo DPS as to break fast so I can drop the sustain and run double support. Like, that's a part of what makes them competitive for my own clears, because they make it easier to drop the sustain, even now without Ruan Mei.
@@Divine-General-Mahoraga His blade + jingliu team isn't duped out, but he does have some very solid relics. But, eventually, even if you are F2P, you'll one day get good relics. But, I get it, relic farming sucks, but it's something all players have to suffer through eventually.
Both of you actually have a good take, the only doubt I have while watching this discussion is the fact that Ruan Mei can solo sustain. Sure she can "on some cases" but it might be inconsistent especially now that the new end game will be MoC 12. With MoC 12, we can at least expect higher speed from enemies which may also mean faster break recovery, but as you said, we can't possibly disclose anything as an actual fact until we see it for ourselves this version 1.6 so until then, what we can only do is theorize and discuss/debate. Again a really good take and a really good video.

39:00 I think the number of retries you need to do a no sustain clear does depend on relic investment and sort of min maxing relics in a way where you make your units beefy while still having the substats they need to do the dmg needed. Lowkey, relics that have a mix of good defensive substats and core substats might be better for such teams than just relics with pure core substat roles, so long as you have enough to still do the dmg you need. The amount of rng needed goes down with how much bulk your units are able to get away with. With that said, with how easy they have made it to reset runs these days, I would heavily argue that needing to reset even 5 or 6 times really isn't a big deal anymore. It's not like how it was back in the day where resets took forever. It's actually a part of why I value SW a fair bit more than Pela now. Needing to reset to get good manip rng is no longer a bother for me with the QoL updates. It's something only SW can do, where as with Pela I can easily replace her with another support and still get the 0 cycle clear in my experience. Honestly, I tend use SW and Pela interchangeably when I'm just using them mostly for generic debuffs these days. My SW is E1 and has SS relics (I feel that SW scales better with SS relics far better than Pela), so I have no trouble 0 cycling with her in place of Pela and vice versa. But, Pela can't replace what SW does for setups that are banking on the correct ele manip from SW which is still very relevant for me despite me have 20ish fully built characters. SW being a limited character too, makes things like E1 or maybe one day E2, have a far greater ceiling. After Pela gets to E6, that's it, that's her potential. SW as she is on more and more reruns, can feasibly climb higher and higher. I feel that all SW needs to be better than E6 Pela more often than not, is just E1. Being able to get back to back Ults helps her generic debuff uptime enough where I really don't feel a significant difference between the two even when ignoring SW's ele manip. But, seeing as SW does have the ele manip, I'm at ultra end game and I'm still making great use of it which makes SW far more valuable to me than Pela as an end game player who does speed clears, but I'll wait for you to make that video to go on about this.
How do we know it's overhyping? People said Jingliu and DHIL were going to be insane meta breaking units during their prerelease as well. Fu Xuan and Luocha too. And then they were.
True. They're all making too much speculations. I would rather try out Ruan Mei in her trial and see for myself then wait for Sparkle's beta kit, see between the two, and THEN pull. I do admit, Ruan Mei is the most overhyped character.

It is more element/blessing based if anything. Fuxuan and Luocha's competitors are the cleanseless Bailu and Gepard. It really doesn't take much to outclass them.

Nice debate. Both of you are giving great points. Also, this is why I don't like "speed run" type of endgame content. It just becomes a dps race which spoils a lot of the game's mechanics. This is more obvious in 0-cycle clears. It boils down to pooling all the buffs in one turn then oneshotting everything. This is why Bronya might look stronger than Ruan Mei because you only really need to burst it down in one go. Sustain damage isn't that important. If the game mode isn't about dps race, Bronya will be more clunky. She's already a bit clunky because of how SP hungry she is (need that E1S1 bad). She also doesn't really synergize perfectly with a lot of hypercarries. From my team, she synergizes best with Blade because he can maximize the 2-turn from E and all Bronya's buff. - For Jingliu, it's clunky when before the transcendent state. She uses 2 turns when she enters the transcendent state. This means the first E while in transcended isn't buffed by Bronya. I would prefer Tingyun + Pela + Huohuo over Bronya any day. It's less clunky and the uptime of the buffs are maximized. I'm just talking out of my ass but I believe having a 100% buff uptime is more important for Jingliu. - For Seele, it's very difficult to manage SP. I find myself auto-attacking with Bronya often until before the big ulti combo. I'm forced to use SP generators for the other 2 slots and sometimes this isn't enough. Seele is too hungry for SP and Bronya is adding to that problem :D I'll prefer keeping it simple and use other supports. I don't think @mrpokke is correct on Bronya giving 100% damage with Bronya. It depends on which team she is on. With my Blade who can consistently double his turn with Bronya, I guess so? However, the uptime of her E buff is only 50% (except E6) since it's only active for one turn. Again, this is with Blade. For clunkier setup like Jingliu and Seele, they cannot maximize Bronya's kit so I don't think (gut feel) that Bronya is a 100% boost in those comps. It's only 100% if Bronya can keep on using her E and the carry can always utilize the E buff. Is Bronya strong? Definitely. But being clunky is a different subject. That's just how strong the extra turn mechanic is. Once we get better supports that are less clunky, I believe Bronya's value will diminish. I believe Ruan Mei will be that new support. Is Bronya gonna be replaced? Yes, in a sense that you'll pick Ruan Mei over Bronya in certain team comps. No, because she is still the best support for some team comps (eg. Blade). Or as both of you have said, you can just use both of them if slot allows. HSR has a lot of 5* with awesome unique kit. I don't think any new 5* will be replacing an existing 5* anyime soon. Bronya still has her unique extra turn mechanic and she can always cleanse the carry. Ruan Mei doesn't have that. Silverwolf's kit is still unique even though she doesn't get picked as much now. I assume this is where Gacha Smack is getting at. I just hope the new game mode will end this boring 0-cycle dps race. We already had this in Genshin and it gets boring fast. Let us play how the game is supposed to be played.

Imo Ruan Mei will be the best support in the game while Bronya will probably be the best only in hypercarry scenarios (although you probably just want to run both). For every other team comp Ruan Mei should just be better. Love the adult healthy debate btw, finally none of that childish drama

Still as a peaceful discussion.... Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd........4 days later....she is the bronya's powercreeper. IF you need to choose between the two, you'll choose ruan mei. Same with diluc and hu tao, venti vs kazuha, yelan vs xinqiu in genshin, that happens every time in those kind of games... what this enables you to do though....is to run a bronya team, and a ruan mei team, and be way stronger, cuz now you have 2 buffed to the limit teams, BUTTTTTTT ruan mei's buff gonna be stronger.
21:14 "It doesn't matter" But it does, because when MoC gets scaled up and becomes harder, and enemies have more hp and defensive stats, then it absolutely matters to have a buff versus essentially no buff leading to whether Seele can kill the goldfish or not. This is the point that was made, and why Ruan Mei is just strictly better than Bronya if you somehow could only choose one support for a hypercarry.
There is no need for such a discussion at this moment, Ruan Mei is not out yet, and we cannot prove anyone's point. Logically, it is clear that duo DPS teams will get more from Ruan Mei, and Bronya is clearly the best support for hypercarries - how one can beat the other is still to be proven in the nearest future. I am pulling Ruan Mei 200% (yeah, with her signature LC and I am F2P).

There a Jingliu, Blade, Bronya, Fu xuan 0 cycle on youtube with a quick search. 1.4 sure but the power exists. Its even e0s1 so not crazy to see the point of it being just as good for all purposes since it can 0 cycle.

Hypercarry is better for bronya, maybe you could use bronya AND ruan mei but for hypercarry bronya gives more damage..that's just the truth. as ruan mei is better for dual DPS like follow up teams or jingliu with blade. If your using hypercarry your main DPS should be able to kill all the units with bronya who has 200% dmg bonus
What is so hard to understand? RM's buffs are universal, meaning it apply twice in dual DPS setups compared to hypercarry setups. Two is a bigger number than one.
Love both gachasmack and pokke . But IMO g smack does have a tendency to overhype characters. See his vids on guinafen and Luka. He even makes a second vid on hanya stating he over hyped her on his first vid 😂. I do also think that gsmack using the 3 man 0 cycle vid to say bronyas extra turn doesn’t matter was meh. In most use cases, bronyas extra turn makes a huge difference assuming you have the skill points to feed. I think they both generally agree on most points. Obviously both bronya and Ryan mei are going to be top tier supports, and which one trumps the other will come down to preference and team comp.

I also think cherry picking a single case of your old Videos where Bronya didn't give you an extra turn every turn, isn't appropriate. There is a lot more like you pointed out with the speed of your bronya to consider... What comes to my mind, was also the SW debate where opinions go the most apart from each other.
What you point out at 17:20 is VERY important. It's a "potential" and it's VERY important in Theory Crafting, especially for game from Hoyoverse. We all know what happened with "theorycrafting" in the Genishin times and it went absolutely bonkers because it was either completely wrong and didn't have much impact in Abyss OR it was sub-par, meaning we were also wrong but only by slight numbers and usage.
ive actually done dual dps 0 cycle before with jingliu and blade (pela and ty as support) idk if it counts as competitive, but with rm i cant wait to see my dual dps lineup shine even brighter

I run Blade and Jingliu with Bronya and a healer/Asta. They crush everything and will be even more broken with Ruan Mei. So I'd say there are dou dps competitive comps that exist before Ruan Mei launches.

Blade and Jingliu can easily zero cycle in a Duo DPS comp right now. Run them with Bronya E1 S1 and Luocha or a low cost support/sustainer right now and you can zero cycle. Edit: Let me make it clear that I have both Jingliu and Blade at E1 and S1 so it's not a realistic test.

Many are pulling her cus she's hot. The gameplay is just bonus to them, which I relate to. I too pull hot men even if they're shit. But the thing is, I admit I pull them just because they're hot. I don't overhype them. DanIL for example. Jing Liu is better, I admit it. Ruan Mei is VERY strong, I agree with that. But is she a must pull that, if you don't have, your account is destroyed? No. There is going to be a lot more Harmony units, like Sparkle and Robin.
There's no 'must pull or your account is destroyed' at the moment. The thing about Ruan Mei that makes her at least close, though, is that she's incredibly flexible. She's going to be great for DoT comps, dual DPS comps, hypercarry (often with Bronya!), and is the best (this one isn't up for debate which is why Pokke did not do so) harmony character at providing sustain value, which means that as content gets more challenging, if 3 support hypercarry or 2 DPS/2 support comps are going to still be viable, she will most likely be a key part of making it work. Your account won't be bricked without Ruan Mei by any means, but if you have her, almost any other unit you end up liking and wanting to use will work with her because of the versatility and volume of her kit. Which is why Gacha Smack originally compared her to Kazuha in Genshin. Sparke is going to be dope too for sure, but she's more tailored to work with not just specific comps, but specific characters. I think the main Sparkle team will be the best possible DPS team we've seen in the game, but like the third to thirteenth best DPS comps are all gonna have Ruan Mei on them.
@@eckology016 I do acknowledge that she has lots of benifits, that's why I'll pull her. But I'm saying that, content creators labelling her as "must pull", "meta" etc, will make many people feel pressured to pull her even if they don't enjoy her playstyle, in fear of missing out. It's a game and we should have fun over anything else.
This whole argument is pointless. Reminds me of people that argue whether Xingqiu or Yelan is a better unit. Who cares? You have two teams, run them on opposite sides or even better run them together on one side. Nobody is replacing one with the other. Just like if you've been getting hard carried by Bronya so far, you're not going to suddenly stop using Bronya just because you pulled Ruan Mei. You'd use them both.
I think in general Bronya is still better in (single dps) hypercarry comps, but still Ruan Mei is really good in dot comps and dual/multi dps comps If anything, Sparkle might have the capacity to replace (by replace i dont mean Sparkle will be better than Bronya, I mean you can either use Bronya or Sparkle, it will not matter as much) Bronya a bit, 'advance forward' is a busted mechanic in turn based games
whenever MrPokke speak, especially in this vid, I had to check to see if I have the vid speed on 1.5x cause my man is for real rapping at supersonic speed at this point holy shit
I think Gachasmack's gacha brain is really having a hard time understanding Bronya's power like the power of 100% AT advance is fundamentally broken in this kind of game. even at SP neutral setup ( bronya basic > dps basics on normal turn > bronya skill > dps uses skill during boosted turn) you are getting: Extra damage, you're gaining at least an extra 20 energy per turn on that DPS, because any turn given = more energy

After this, I wonder if u can sustain with ruen mei. I had an idea. This was a duo dps, using Welt (e0s0) Blade (e0s0) Ruen Mei (e1s0)[lucky ten pull les go] and Tingyun (e1 coggers). Top half MOC 10, 12-31-23. I stress, she DOES NOT power creep sustainers. The entire battle was a timed battle, and blade was using his burst to heal instead of dmg. An e2 welt or e6 Tingyun could make it more viable. LSS, its a MEME build, with high investment. Funny if you can pull it off, with more capabilities with higher investment. MEME BUILD. But it also worked, so that that how you will.
