I did not vote DA during the last election. John Steenhuisen does not cut it for me, and Helen Zille is not well liked as far as I know. 2-1 is 2-1 in favour of Renaldo; Helen is silent on this matter.
The DA squandered a great opportunity to show voters that anyone who has developed a new outlook or changed their position on any issue is welcome to join the party or vote for them. They will lose many potential voters because they now look completely uncompromising and not flexible or open to change.

I was a paid up member of the DA way back when they won the WC province for the first timel. I never renewed the membership after it expired and will not do so ever again. For me u only use a plitical party to your own benefit, that's called democracy. You do'n't offer them the curtosey of membership and serivce. They must work for you, not you to them. It was political grandstanding from day one, therefore they did not even bother to get the exact points and reasons lining up in their complaint, the investigation, and the final termination, as it did not matter, they knew you where getting fired from the first hour this surfaced. I’m black and never agreed with the “kill the Boer” song being sung in a democratic SA. What happened is that you responded louder than Julius, with more forceful words, and that indicates that that’s how your inner nature is when you have to respond to race conflict (from a black person’s perspective). The party probably had to weigh that and the implications that most black people will think that if the party accepts you as a leader then that’s who (DA) they are. That’s why they had to led you go. It was purely to preserve how they do not want to be perceived
