My response to Satori and Cody controversy 

Thank you for standing up for your daughter and Cody. It’s a breath of fresh air for me to see a father speak up on behalf of their daughter. It’s a rare characteristic to see and it’s much appreciated. They have a gift and I believe they were aware of the backlash but you are right people are cruel behind a keyboard and it’s one thing to disagree for whatever personal reasons but a whole different reason when you are just spewing out hatred. I will keep supporting Satori and Cody and I look forward to learning what they learn about this gift along the way. They themselves are beautiful people with beautiful souls, it’s not a surprise the dead and the living are drawn to them because they have such a light of love.

We do need debunkers. We should be able to talk to each other and have intelligent debates. No need for insulting and name calling.

Mr. Hawes, do you agree that they should prove this method? You also have to understand this specific situation. I'm only speaking for myself- Sam and Colby stated over and over again (to your daughter as well) that this would "change the world", etc. It got very hyped pre and post video. Since Sam and Colby do have such a big audience I'm sure their would have been some questions regardless but I think the hype might have made this snowball into what it is now.

Iteam 1A.) If you are a fan of ghost hunting or even the shows you know they can be talkative one time then the next not. 1B.) Ghosts get tired of answering questions just the same as you and me if to many questions were being asked or if they feel like a spectacle. They just want to be left alone to live in their after life 2.) Sam and Colby came out in a video and said that Cody and satori explained that as he could do it by himself but Satori amplifies it. 3.) They also talked to sam and colby and talked to them about the they dont do it for money comment. 4.) would you be willing to be swarmed by scientists or even Poked and prodded because you have this ability. 5.) if you listen to the video they go back and ask if its the letter or they slow down and start the alphabet over. 6.) In sam and Colbys video they keep the camera on their feet nothing indicates they are rigging it. This is not a disrespectful response. You believe what you believe I'm not trying to change anyones minds but I'm giving the facts that make me believe they are the real deal.I can respond to everything you are saying with facts. @@StraightOuttaUrbexwith the exception of the first season or two of Ghost Hunters it wasn’t real. Remember when nothing was haunted and then all of a sudden everything was haunted. That was travel channel forcing them to make it more interesting. Don’t take my word for it. You can look it up. I also loved that show up until the prison episode where you can clearly tell it was someone in a cape running away.

At first they did Vine with skits, and prank videos then they started exploring abandoned places and then their infamous Queen Mary video was what got them into doing ghost videos. He and many have and do it different, using alphabet, etc. The knocks with Cody and Satori or also more profound now and more on que.

@@JasonHawes I know it's been around for a long time, at least since the fox sisters to my knowledge. Based on their story when they 1st met there were loud banging, knocking etc. at that point why not just ask the spirits and do the knocking method. Instead they experimented on each other at the point of touching wrists/hands etc. I mean the spirits were alrdy going wild why not just straight up ask the questions through the method. Since you guys have been doing it all these years that should be the first thing that came into his mind right? Pointing out small plot holes in their story is what I am interested in because tbh the knocking method can be easily debunked or exposed. That's why I'm hoping they would address these concerns and do some debunk methods others have suggested or adding some context in their stories. I know others have been a real ass towards them but there is also ppl that just want to see a definitive proof because some of us want to believe. And if they do prove it to the whole internet then who knows, maybe the conjuring house will attract a large number of ppl and earn much more than saying to go there and see for ourselves.

Exactly, I was looking to see if anyone mentioned that about the conjuring place before I posted it and seemingly now those 2 kids dont believe these 2 either anymore and have said they wont work with them again. Once you are found to be a liar then its hard to except anything from you again to be true.

Sam and Colby & Ghost Hunters fan here. Sam and Colby did make a whole hour long video trying to debunk it with Satori and Cody where they made them take their shoes off. They even bought new shoes and made them put those on instead, as well as trying the method in mystery locations to them all. They were just given coordinates to go to. The only thing that stopped the method from working was when Satori and Cody were wearing rubber gloves. Would fully recommend watching that video too. Just makes me believe in the integrity of the method even more.

@@kirarobbins96 my dude they only took their shoes off long enough to put new ones on, and the knocking was considerably more muffled afterwards because "they're fuzzy inside" as Colby stated. Then Satori had to press her shoe against Cody's to help make the knocking louder and to better feel the vibrations. They refused to keep their shoes off when at the dance studio.

Yeah really is as easy as that, just because people want to see this proof were labeled as attacking and mean. We're simply saying do your method without shoes and socks wearing shorts but that's being mean, but that's not being mean.

To be honest…..I don’t think they’d wanna do that just in general because let’s be real here, nobody really likes showing their bare feet online and being that there’s creepy people out there who have feet fetishes….I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why Cody and Satori won’t do it. Plus, let’s just say that they were moving their feet….we would’ve seen their feet moving. If you’re making popping sounds with your feet and you’re obviously moving your feet, anyone around you can see your feet moving even if it’s just a slight movement.

We all know that even if they do what their asked people will still call them fakers. Will still bad mouth them. Up until seeing them on Sam and Colby's video I'd never heard of them before. It seems since they appeared on that channel they have blown up and for all the wrong reasons. They have been bombarded with hate and abuse. I've been interested in the parnorml for years and the one constant I've seen and read are people complaining about proof. Photos and videos are too blury you cant see anything. Some one gets a decent video or photo it's labled a fake. People who don't believe will always lable any proof no matter how good (actually if it's good proof its worse) as fake. It's photo shopped it's this it's that. It's gotten worse over the years due to the rise of youtube, people deliberatly creating fake content and claming it's real. Even when their caught in the act. People like that make it harder for legitimate proof as now no one believes anything no matter how good it is or how well tested it is. To me it seems that the paranormal community has disolved into a groupof people who now only want to attck and denounce any proof. Did you watch the video of Sam and Colby's which was done several months after their visit to the coungering house? Where they took them out into the middle of a park made them change their shoes into slippers and they still got the taps and knocks?

Sure I won't deny that if they did it showing their feet on a livestream and their toes ain't moving and there's still the sounds some/a few people will still argue it's fake. BUT I think what you're ignoring, I've seen you copy and paste this comment on so many videos, is that while some will still argue it's fake the vast majority of people who are open to the paranormal will accept it. The majority of the people giving them the backlash are from the paranormal community. As people who aren't open to the possibility other then a few who base their time on actively debunking aren't giving them the backlash as they haven't even seen it and don't care about it. Again the backlash is coming from the paranormal community. Not the none believers who don't care to even give it the time of day/not seen it. And yes I saw the video they did on their other channel, saw the first Conjuring video an HR after it was uploaded then went straight to the HR long video trying to debunk it. It literally doesn't prove anything in regards to the toe popping argument. Ignoring the fact they stated that they only found this out when they met and can only do it while touching when an old video of Cody doing the exact same method without her and touching no one had been unearthed. There's now plenty of people doing the exact same method to show how it's fake. First video I saw was by the tiktok user "saveusbarry" where it's literally the same sound and even the illusion of the sound moving around the room. Another good example I'd the RU-vid video "Cody & Satori - Toe popping and microphone explained! (My feet exposed)" by Dead Oak Paranormal. If you just want to see the toe popping skip to 08:22 of that video. Will say it doesn't sound 100% the same but very close but also keep in mind Cody has had years to practice and perfect his craft. That channel has also done several videos showing how Cody is shifting his weight in the S&C videos as well as other signs.

IMO the biggest thing that gives the paranormal community the stigma it has/makes it harder to be taken seriously is stuff like what's happening with this Cody & Statori stuff. Not even specially them faking it but the reaction. The paranormal community is showing the world that they'll blindly follow a scam that realistically has been proven at this point to be a scam and lacks the ability of self awareness to be self critical and is acting like it's incapable of critical and independent thought. I personally hope that when Sam & Colby do their video addressing this they highlight all of the key evidence and examples that have been provided to at least make their extremely large and passionate fan base realise that they've all been scammed and this becomes so big that even the none believers who don't know about this see it. Why? Because I hope it will be the moment of change within the community and show the world that the paranormal community has changed and is actually capable of critical thought and call out when something is clearly fake and that as a whole we DON'T blindly follow scammers like we used to/have been doing up till now.

Even then you'll get people say they are fakes. great example, "Why are all the photos of ghosts out of focus. Why can't you get better photos?" Someone catches a great photo in focus the lot, same person demanding in focus photos will then say "It's a fake the images are too in focus." No matter what proof people give people out there will never be happy. They will always want to destroy someone's reputation.

Hmmm, I’m guessing @dawnrowlands and many other people just can’t get over that with their ability whether Cody had a couple times where he to heard knocking which then started him to say the alphabet in which got answered in a response using that method. When Satori came into Cody’s life it had became much much more louder and a lot more clearer as to which a spirit who connects with them or someone around them comes through. We are batteries in the dimension we don’t understand and we water resources to our new who are energized by the cells in which are human body is made, that is for another conversation tho.. what Cody and Satori have is a true ability to understand what someone is trying to get across when a certain person comes around them. Nevertheless, I am still very sceptical of those that claim to have these 'powers'. I've seen far too many using cold reading techniques or similar. As a fellow non-believer/paranormal enthusiast, I originally didn't really see the harm that it's fake. It would be different if they admitted that it was an act for entertainment purposes. I mean, the conjuring house is already set up like a tourist attraction. But they are claiming that they are communicating with peoples dead loved one's. Imo, profiting off of someone's vulnerability or anguish from the loss of a loved one is not okay. That's how people get scammed by fake mediums. As a ghost hunter, myself, I just want to point something out: RARELY has there been a hunter who hasn’t asked spirits to, “Knock once for yes, two for no.” Or tried to see if a spirit can spell something out, using the knocking method. This is NOT something new! Both Cody AND Satori have talked about doing this, in the past. However, when they found each other, that’s when the messages came quicker, louder, clearer. I’ve been hunting for 40 years, and one of the things that we hunters know, is that in order to have strong communication (for instance, using the Ouija board, which I do NOT recommend), there has to be a ‘conductor’ and ‘transmitter’. It’s basically the same principle as radio frequencies. One person is the conductor, and one person is the transmitter. But the catch? We rarely know which one is which. It’s hit or miss. In the older video, in which Cody was by himself, the messages took a long time to come thru. But when Cody and Satori are together… it’s a different story. The fact that Cody used the method previously, and people are using THAT as a way to ‘debunk’ their abilities, is laughable. It’s a video of a technique we’ve all used! The ONLY way to debunk their ability, is to do it in person: no shoes, no prior knowledge of the person they’re reading, and no knowledge of the location… by a third party with no skin in the game. If, and when this happens, we can NOT say it’s been debunked. Plus, the people who have witnessed this phenomenon, have all said that the knocks aren’t stationary. They move around the room. If you’ve never heard footsteps from disembodied spirits, you can’t possibly understand. They don’t walk in one spot. They move! It’s unsettling. (I’ve lived with it… and still do.) The Fox Sisters were known to crack toes… under long skirts, with their legs under tables, and without shoes. That’s because the cushion in their shoes would muffle the sound. Plus, the movement of their toes cracking, and the movement of their leg muscles-even though it was slight-was still visible. They were very careful not to be seen. It was only when they were offered $1500-which was a great deal of money in the early 1800s-did they come clean. Cody and Satori never attempted to hide their feet and legs, changed shoes when asked, AND their location. Plus, they don’t charge people for messages. They aren’t trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes, just to make money from them. If they charged people for messages, then I’d understand the motive. But they’ve been doing this for YEARS, and only recently agreed to show the world. (How sad is that?) Plus, if they had something to hide, they would’ve never agreed to ANY of Sam and Colby’s investigations. And even though I won’t deny that more ‘debunking’ can be had, what we’ve seen, so far, does NOT negate what they can do. Everything is still fresh, right now. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt, and see what happens.

@emilymarek4714 I have encountered sprits walking welll one sprit walking when I was 14 years old i was absolutely petrified it sounded like someone dragging one leg from the living room door up to the sofa where i was laid. We had our house blessed by our local church & medium because my mother would hear the same thing unbeknownst to me at the time. I've had many experiences from being a child, such as dark shadow in my bedroom doorway, my little brother saw it too on a different night, I'd be here all night explaining what I've personally experienced. But I would like to see Cody doing his method with shoes & socks off with his feet elevated, blind folded with headphones, and then I'll believe 😁 edit: also like to add my house we currently live in is haunted we have lived here 15 years & for the first 2 years we had none stop paranormal activity. Years later, we found out the old man who lived here before us died in our bedroom. My husband was a sceptic until he experienced things for himself. TVs, radios & computers would turn on in the early hours but it never felt malevolent so we just ignored it . Occasionally, not me, but my husband will feel someone sitting on the edge of the bed or gets tapped on his shoulder. Only last week in our kitchen, he was poked in his back. He was all alone too. I don't expect anyone to believe me because these are my own personal experiences

@@emilymarek4714 except this isn't their first time showing the world, they've done this on television and other youtubers channels that i found as far back as 4 years ago, it's just the first time they've garnered attention from a much larger popular audience. there is also more knowledgeable claims that back up the debunk theory with their contradictions alone. the video of cody doing it 11 years ago isn't as significant but defiantly contradicted their claim as only just discovering this method, why not mention cody has always done this prior? cody is also seen on camera multiple times moving his foot inside the shoe that coincide with the knock noises. sound in general is extremely difficult to pinpoint as this has been challenging for even the military as they spend millions on programs to aid in sound origin. power of suggestion is also a real thing as far as saying the sound is here nor there, sam also states in the series the noise is always predominantly near cody. and why not empty the pockets or take off your socks? if they claim being grounded is a way for them to conduct energy wouldn't that be more helpful? dustin dean mentalist on youtube and tiktok, he said he would drive to the conjuring house himself offer them 10k to see this method done in front of him under his conditions, he's a world renown mentalist and magician and also debunks fake psychics. he posted a youtube the other day explaining in detail and also demonstrating how he thinks they're faking it.

Not everyone comes out and tells their entire story immediately. Not to mention, had Satori named her father there would have been people instantly stating she is just after the fame and is “riding her dad’s coattails” because that’s what the internet does. Just because they have been around the paranormal their entire life doesn’t mean they didn’t just come across this method.

Cody's own words were that they do it for people who they come accross and don't do it or money (Not verbatim) They do shows where they do this for money, so it's a lie. If there is some nuance to his statement, then I'm missing it, or he isn't explaining it very clearly, or maybe he is dilibertly misleading people. The onus is on him to be transparent in his words. People can only go on what he said, and he clearly said they don't do it for money.

@@Jaye-Jae Yes he did clearly state that, but it's a lie. They work for the conjuring house, they do shows, and the only people they would "come across naturally" to do this for would be people paying to go to the conjuring house to do it. Perhaps they do randomly help folks on the street who recognize them and ask for a session, but we only have his word on that, no evidence otherwise. Sam and Colby and their team had to pay to stay at the Conjuring house and interact with Satori and Cody--so all of their filmed sessions for that series was definitely not for free.

Whats upsetting is that Cody and Satori charge people money to talk to their dead relatives, even though none of it is real. That is just disgusting. Second of all, if this was real then why has it not made national headlines? Why are no news channels covering it and why isn't every government fighting over them to work with them? Supposedly two people are able to contact the after life, yet no scientist or government agency is fighting over to work with them. But somehow only a niche community on RU-vid knows about them. If it was real, do you not realize countries would start wars to be able to work with someone that can communicate with the afterlife.

Satori and Cody don’t come with a “rental” of the Conjuring house, it’s actually listed on the Conjuring website. Maybe people need to use the Internet to do some research instead of just trolling social media. Sorry for being blunt but sometimes the ignorance is non stop. Don’t listen to everything people say and do the research yourself.

I think the attacks at Satori and Cody was that they collab with Sam and Coby. A lot of us in the paranormal have called those two out for faking evidence. Many of those large paranormal RU-vid channels does that just for views. I think we need to address that problem, but be more civil about this. It is hard to teach the non-believers that ghosts are real when you have a small minority of these people faking evidence. Jenny Love TV, PDX Paranormal, Parasolo, Waht? The Paranormal, Professional Paranormal Researchers, etc are some smaller legit paranormal channels that don't staged their evidence. They are more tasteful and respect the dead, even if their content is boring. They cover the same places with the exact opposite results. And they debunk all their findings as well.

You do realize her dad got caught faking the tap videos in the early 2000s and the show got canceled and he comes back into the spotlight years later with this new generation because they were not born then but I remember. Exactly. If this didn’t involve his daughter, Jason would be acting completely different. He’s not impartial. But if anything, he should be angry! Ghost hunters was huge when it first came out… Jason and the crew debunking potential hauntings was what made a lot of people take them seriously. Later on, when the show got bigger and ratings became more important, some things changed, but considering how much they had seemed honest prior to that, most folks are willing to give them a chance to explain. He must be so disappointed in his child… Once your kid is in Adult, parent can’t compel them to change their behavior, but sometime letting them know how much it hurts can get them to think before they act a little bit more

I agree. If it's fake and they're preying on people's emotions like that, they should be ashamed. Sam was so upset. They're preying on all our emotions. They could clear this up very quickly. Take the shoes and socks off for a start.

Like that teacher who died in 2007, we are really supposed to believe this teacher couldn't spell her own name and just HAPPENED to misspell it the exact way it is in typo hits you get from the web. We are also supposed to believe the only person who didn't get a reading from their ancestors is the only person there that night that just happened to not have any of that info posted online? The fact that cody has been caught in a few lies around this, for example they both say it is only after they met that they discovered they had this magical ability when they both hold hands or hold each others wrists. Well fist off he breaks that even on the same video when he is trying like crazy to cover his feet from view of the camera, but, even at that there is video of Cody doing this same exact thing long before he met Satori. I used to have respect for Jason, as it seemed he would at least try until he got pressure to fake results by doing things such as the time he used the FLIR into a Mirror, but before that, it was the days when he and grant found hoaxes like the speaker in the women's room, the device to shake lightning int he ceiling of the bar, etc this? Seriously? To cry and whine about personal attacks at the time time he calls people "assholes" for the almighty sin of not buying this horrid act is just too much. I have been called worse things by people of far better personal character and honesty than Jason Hawes.

I personally believe what Satori and Cody have done is help connect the mass of people to spiritual power, and darkness doesn't like that so it fights back unfortunately. It is a big bummer they've had to experience such hate, my heart hurts for them. They should be embraced with love.

There's tons of constructive criticism, but no effort from their side to debunk any of the allegations. Just saying it's real doesn't make it real. We have zero proof that it's real.
