Secondly, have the most frequently misused pieces of legislation printed out or bookmarked in your phone's browser ready to quote VERBATIM at the drop of a hat - *AND* Point out that before they answer, they might want to consider that you have had your video recorders running the WHOLE TIME collecting 100% EXCULPATORY EVIDENCE to counter their FALSE CLAIMS - *AND* Caution them that THEY do not have to say or do anything butt it may harm THEIR defence AND may also harm their career prospects if they proceed with their frivolous accusations and end up looking really bad having to watch your EXCULPPATORY video evidence in a Civil proceeding that THEY caused to be brought against them and their chief constable due to their record breaking ignorance and incompetence.

The fact that they 'got it wrong' and that a Senior Police Officer was obliged to make a Public Apology is certainly grounds for a complaint to the Police Complaints Agency,Unlawful Arrest, False Imprisonment, Breach of Human Rights, Unlawful Stop and Search just for starters. I'm reasonably confident that the Terrorism Act does not grant powers to demand ID, I'm also quite certain that they must at the very least believe that there is a possibility of terrorism. That said, I'm not familiar with the Policing Act.
