Just plain awesome. I started lately watching some videos on ebikes and scooters. This video is hands down the sickest video I have seen yet..I can just imagine a driver of a car driving 45-50 mph and getting this totally bewildered look on there face as they get passed up by , no less , a BIKE! Unsafe ? Definitely but incredibly awesome video non the less..
Frickin love your bike man,its so fast and smooth,i have some vids of my 48v 1000w Ebike,i have had it a year and a half and it now has almost 2000 miles on the clock,,but its nothing as good as yours, thanks bigtime for the upload..
@Ram Ranch Hey. i still have the Bike, i've had it over 6 years now, its had 4 sets of tires, 2 lots of brake pads, a brake cable replaced, as for the battery, when i made that comment you just replied to, that was 4 years ago, i had a different battery then, on that first battery i did over 2,000 miles with it, it was a 20ah battery, i gave that battery to my brother because he built an electric bike so now he has it, i found a smaller one for mine, Another 20ah, i've done a 1,200 miles with it so far, but weird thing is, my brother gets more miles with my old battery now than i do with mine, and his has done double the miles my newer younger one has done, my bike had 180 miles on the clock when i got it, now it shows 3262 miles so i've done some serious riding, but for each year goes by i'm riding it less, i'm 52 now., my backs started to go, my legs. just getting old.
@Ram Ranch None of us were born to struggle, life should be about peace and relaxing, we get one life, we need to follow our dreams. i Hope You Find Yours, Be Happy for as Long as You Can. Stay Awesome.
Cool bike! My mom bought me an electric bike last January. I ride it to Taco Bell or McDonald's or go shopping. I even ride my bike to the Petrack Park.
I'm really glad you showed us this video, I plan on buying an ebike soon, so I can finally be able to get to college pretty fast without exhausting myself out everyday since I don't have a car and my mom doesn't like driving everyday. Plus it would be pretty awkward to hitch a ride from my friends everyday especially when I'm feeling stressed and moody. Some questions I had was what kind of ebike do you have and was your helmet a half face or full face helmet? I know I need one too, but I'm not which one I really need.
Devin, I miss seein you blur by on your ebike on the way to school. (Thanks again for helping me with that boulder) I wish I would have joined you in this hobby sooner! Good Luck in Washington and you were great on the Bolton podcast!
I would use mine more often, Im just paranoid about how others will feel. For example the cars and people on side walks, there is barely any biking lanes and idk if im allowed to like go on the road if you know what im saying. So if you can tell me what road rules i should follow that would be great LMAO (I know all common ones so dont worry haha)
Regen depends on the controller. How fast the motor goes at 72v depends on the winding of the wires in it. If it's a hub motor it will likely go 42mph ish.
If you wanna go fast I would recommend the cyclone 3000 from Luna cycles it handles more than 3000 get a 72v with 50bms 25amp and you’ll be going 55+ it’s only 500 with the sine wave controller.
Hi there, Awsome Video,Im going to buy a ebike real soon and i like your ebike speed. How much volts and amps is your battery, and how much power is that motor,Thanks
No haha. It has a chain that would make it go like a normal bike but I took it off for safety reasons. Just didn't trust the rear sprocket at 70mph. Haha.
Yeah it can do more than keep up it's faster than most cars on the road. It's got a max voltage of 92.4v and amperage of 200A. It has a max speed of 70 mph. It's fun for sure. I have a video where I race a CR 450 you should go check out.
Simple Actively Doing it myself I was able to save some money but it was about $4,000. I can make a video of a smaller bike I need to put a battery in.
I got a U lock because they are the most reliable but yeah I was a little worried. My bike did weigh 110lbs though. Not something you just ran off with.
Joaquín Vera I have a list on my Facebook group Arizona DIY EV. Some links may be out dated but I can help you find what you need. I am selling this bike though if you don't want to go through the trouble.
Joshua Huang I got them from a guy in China. I don't recommend doing it the way I did though. Some things I paid for and they never made it to me. I paid just over $1,200 for it. It's 2.4 kwh and it's a lot of fun.
Devin Lindstrom im think abt getting 110 lg hg2's frm dhgate. I msged a few sellers and a lot weren't authentic but i found one that said it was for 2.09. Im gnna use my capacity tester but I doubt its authentic but i can prob get a partial refund if it isn't.
rockypro1 how do u like the power now. I've been riding my cyclone on about 2.5kw and im already hungry for more power. I'll probably use the qs 205 v3 motor on an enduro ebike frame next
Devin Lindstrom haha yea i meant to ask rocky that since 1000 watts starts to feel too little very quickly. Im surprised anyone would go over 20kw. 66 is insane.
Joshua Huang Max is 70mph. It wheelies at 30mph. The next one is a motorcycle build I'm doing. 116v and 660A peak. I estimate 0-60 in 2.3 seconds. Problem is I'm in dental school and I don't have much free time right now.
As long as the battery can put out 35A or more you are fine to use it. the controller is only going to draw what it needs and the battery can be as strong as you want .
I built it for about $3,500. The frame is a vector and the motor is a QS v3. Vector makes a bike you can buy but its more expensive. there are also some on ebay.
@@DevinLindstrom oh ok I find a ebike on eBay (26'' E-Bike Electric Bicycle Super Mountain Bike W/Lithium Battery COOL) it's $121.69 now that I can afford my only thing is where to I take it to get it assembly?!.
bob john It's 264 18650 cells. 22s and 12p. They are LG he4 cells. 2.5ah cells with 20A discharge. It's a fun bike but I'm working on something twice as fast. :)
Your going about 35 mph on that thing. My bike goes about 22 mph and I thought that I was going fast on that thing. What you have, is like a skeletonized moped.
@@DevinLindstrom Dude, I went up to around 35 mph on my 1000w hub drive on flat ground and I was about to piss myself. How do you go so fast on a bicycle like that and not get the piss scared out of you? I'm a real pussy about using my bike on the road and people are assholes about me not going 35mph on boulevards and it makes me not want to ride.
@@DevinLindstrom tbh, on the same note as that, I was just bitching about laws in the us about ebikes. While the speed might be scary, in some cases, its safer to be going fast. I envy people with a fast bike (and big balls) because I cant legally travel at safe speeds. My 1000w motor is illegal to operate at full power here and on a 10% grade it gets me maybe 10mph. Mind you, this hill is a 35mph road so travelling at that speed is practically suicide. Sad that lawmakers dont know the things they make laws for 😔
@@tn0wl361 it definitely is safer to go the same speed as traffic I used to use the bike lane but I almost got hit every day. So I cut that crap out and just rode in the middle of the road.
Meghan darlin try rad bikes website they sell cargo e bikes where you can carry heavy loads and send instructions on how to put together or you can take it to a local bike shop and pay to have it put together
The motor is a QS 205 and the battery is 264 LG HE4 18650 Li-ion cells. The battery configuration is 12p and 22s giving a 84v 30ah battery capable of 240A continuous draw.
I want to make a bike like this. I want to use a 48v 16ah battery with a 3000w rear hub motor. My current bike is a Schwinn hardtail so I want to get a new dual suspension bike. I think I will use the mongoose xr pro to convert to an electric bike. (btw I'm only 16 and have no money. I just got a job so hopefully in a few months, I'll have the $2000 I need for this ;)
vectorebike.com/ is the site for the bike. All the extra parts I got can be found on Aliexpress.com. It's been so long that I cant remember where I got them all. the controller is a Sabvoton 72v 200A and the motor is a qs v3 205 I think.
Devin Lindstrom ahh okay awesome. Im 14 yrs old 5,4 n half. Do u think this bike would be pretty fun to just cruise on while going to the store or on trails? Or its a lil to much? Just asking since my parents said i could get it
Can ebikes go up steep roads? I see that you live in flat terrain but I live in the state of Georgia and we have so many steep hills that riding a regular bike is a torture workout. Will an ebike do the trick? I'm only asking because I need to save money on gas. $3 a gallon is highway robbery
If it's a really long hill you just need to make sure the bike is engineered properly and that it won't over heat. Other then that bikes like this one absolutely love hills. With all the torque they have.
@@DevinLindstrom That is crazy fast. Also your town is awesome! I love how the terrain is flat. Georgia has WAAAYYY to many hills for it to be ordinary bike friendly
This one is probably a little faster. Haha. Watch some of my other videos and you will see how fast this guy is. Some day I'll have my motorcycle that is 4 times the power of this one. :)
It's a QS V3 hub motor and the controller is a sabvoton 72v 200a. The battery is 264 LG he4 18650 cells. I think the bike was only at 150a at the time too.
@@DevinLindstrom the battery is a 72v (84v max) system? I have an electric motorcycle with 72v lithium Titanate pack, although I can extract LOTS if amps the acceleration is not as spectacular as yours. Also you where passing cars so I calculate you were going 50 to 60mph mine only have 85kph max speed on full charge.
It's a vector frame with a qs motor and a sabvoton controller. You can buy a vector bike complete but I wanted more power so I got their frame and did the rest myself.
It's kind of a Vector. I got the frame from them and put the rest on myself. The bike had ( I sold it) 200a battery current and 84v 22s Li-ion battery.
Haha. Yeah I loved this bike but it was sold just last week because I had to move. I'm working on my CR80 conversion now. It will be 30kw in stead of 18kw. I can't wait to have it up and running.
@@DevinLindstrom Dude!!! I lived near 61st and Bell in glendale for a while. Recently moved out of state, but glendale is a nice area. I even recognized some of where you filmed lol
@@DevinLindstrom Lol personally, I can't stand Tucson. And Washington is nice. I moved to the Portland area myself. Not Washington lol but still the Pacific Northwest.
