The Old Bird just doesn't know what is wrong with one of the repotted rosemary plants. What a journey :D Please subscribe to my channel? Follow on Instagram: / theoldbirdspottedgarden
thanks so much! I'm working so hard on it. I'll be planting some new vegetables and rosemary this week. Don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell? have a blessed day ;D
Yes it was so sad...however, I planted another one in that spot in a new cement block container and it is thriving. It is about half the size of that one now and is still growing #Shannon Thanks so much!
Sometimes the water can be too much and can cause root rot. I’ve also have same problem with the ones I transplant not; also the heat this summer has been so severe, and her in SE lots of rain so may be a multidimensional problem. I generally find that rosemary so far this year has not seemed to survive transplanting. However; I did find that if I start some of the good branches left over again, I have been able to start new growth by taking live stems and replanting and will seem to grow well to maturity, but suddenly seem to take a turn. Please advise what you find out.
Sad to say but I lost this one. I found out that you can NEVER separate the mother plant. You should repot in a larger pot or plant the large rosemary plant in the ground in that same area. I have many more plants now and am still learning. Have a blessed day filled with lots of smiles #JohnAnderson - John 3:17
I had 2 rosemary bushes, 1 got gall, a bacterial disease and it's a gonner. The other 1 is doing great. They're from the Mediterranean and like soil on the dry side. I don't know about dividing them, never tried. Best of luck.
girl it didn't work - I lost this amazing huge plant. I learned that you can never separate the mother plant...you just transplant the whole plant into a larger container. #DeborahWade I have about 12 plants now that are thriving. have a blessed day filled with lots of smiles :D John 3:17
I bought a 50% off sickly rosemary plant and I'm trying to save it. I should probably get another plant going because the one I have is fragile, white (although I conquered the mold spores). I think it probably has wet roots. I need to change the soil and container. That's my next attempt
Let me know how your's does with the new soil change. I just planted some and will be planting some more next week. I added some sand to my soil so we shall see :D Have a blessed week #ToeFrog John 3:17
thanks so much #JoquitaSullivan It grew for 5 years and was simply beautiful. I thought it needed a larger container but ...I was wrong :D thank you again and have a blessed day - John 3:17
This (video below) broke my heart and it stopped me from finnish writing my PhD on Aboriginal peoples life in Australia. Rosemary is about remembering. And although it is out of time, the psychology or conversation that allows this to happen is what destroys Rosemary. What did you forget? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cC0RGOASawU.html I am heartbroken after this and I will never work for a world that allows such abuse against her that is brown eyed.
Please don't stop writing your PhD on Aboriginal peoples life in Australia? What you write will be able to be a learning tool for many, for many years to come, for many people. Because I never grew, nor saw rosemary growing I didn't know that you couldn't separate the plant like other plants. Rosemary can only be transplanted into larger containers or into the grown. I learned that because someone else wrote that down for me to read... and someone made a video telling me. After reading about and studying rosemary, this Old city Bird has many rosemary plants that are thriving today. I have more to learn and will continue to research. #CatrinBlack Keep on going, keep on growing, keep learning, and continue to teach. Proverbs 24:5 - A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. Thank you for watching...what an honor!
@@LindatheOldBird Thank you Linda, I am almost 25 years out of time for my PhD but I still live my thoughts and wisdom, and I write letter to the community, Lockhart River, that I worked with. Lest Not Forget. The persons name on my University Transcript ( Queensland University, Brisbane, Australia, although I did not complete my PhD) Is LINDA BIRD. I just want to cry. Somewhere inside of our world we already know. I hope your Rosemary bushes thrives again....And it is a great honour that I found you so that I can thank you. Lest not Forget, we are never to separate Rosemary or ourselves from each other. I am learning from a Basil plant at the moment. He is teaching me to not separate Basil. As folk groups we are not separating either.
@@LindatheOldBird I am also thinking bigger pot bigger pot. får Basil instead of complicating his journey, I am learning from you. Somewhere we prune and graft or separate and re grow with our herbs and it should be like a Russian doll. Pot and then grow and then a bigger pot. Once in the ground, prune. Well I am not at thay stage yet. Thank you Linda.
@@catrinblack8097 Oh thank you for telling me about the basil. I have several plants and didn't know that it couldn't be separate it either. Thanks! Keep on looking up girl!🙂
I must agree #DreamMakerPins I tried repotting it in a larger container but lost it. It was so beautiful for 5 years. Now I'm trying more in that area in containers. We shall see if this Old Bird can do better. Thank you for your input and thumbs :D
