Hydrogen Peroxide is a Chemical, is it a good chemical or a bad chemical? There are many advantages of using hydrogen peroxide and also many disadvantages of using hydrogen peroxide as well. Hydrogen peroxide is really good to disinfect seeds and helps with seed germination. Hydrogen peroxide kills fungus gnats. You can even spray a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide on your plants to deter and kill pests. There are many benefits of using hydrogen peroxide on plants in your garden. However you need to be careful about using hydrogen peroxide as it can kill all microbial activity in the soil and can even have detrimental effects on aquatic life.

most people today don't know the difference between chemicals, toxins & elements on the periodic table & thus use the term "chemicals" to describe every undesirable bad thing, as oppose to say synthetic chemicals, petrochemicals, forever chemicals, not realizing that the Chemical designation today is merely a mathematical expression of its construct. when I was in school we were taught that "chemicals" were human made extractions in various combinations, elements were naturally occurring constructs that could be isolated & combined to make different "chemicals" synthetic biology was the practice of artificially producing elements similar to those found in nature the general purpose being to manufacture synthetics cheaper than extracting natural resources for the chemicals used in the mass production of products & to own the patent on those synthetic elements & the chemicals they have created as it is illegal to patent nature but its not illegal to patent a synthetic copy of something in nature then tell the public that harvesting nature is unsustainable & bad for the planet so you need to switch to our patented product for a sustainable future & now with genetic engineering these mad scientists are trying to own all life on the planet demonizing everything natural & normal as bad for the planet & unsustainable so we have no choice but to buy their patented garbage.

Hydrogen peroxide is contained in good quantity in rain water. That's the reason why plants grow and thrive better in the rainy season. Even soaking oneself in rain water seasonally keeps the body properly oxygenated and cleanses skin pores the natural way.

Love how you address this. I also would like to point out that classifications of Good vs Bad is way too black and white. Even natural agents that are classified as BAD, are used medicinally in certain situations in particular doses or ways. So technically it's not BAD you just have to know how to use certain agents and its applications. Just like crossing the street, or driving a car, or using a knife. You have to develop skills and knowledge on how to interact and do or use these things. Not go through life avoiding interacting and using these things because of the potential dangers associated with them.

I have always used it to germinate hard to sprout varieties like peppers, spinach, kale & such at a mix of 2 tablespoons of 3% to 1 cup of water soaked into paper towels that the seeds are placed in in between two Styrofoam plates & placed in a warm location like on a fridge or heat mat, I check them every day & keep the paper towel wet & most varieties will sprout in 2 to 4 days as oppose to 7 to 14 days in soil trays. I have also used it directly on plants in a stronger ratio with a spray bottle to combat spider mites & other pest both in indoor grow tents & in the outdoor garden

If you added aged manure annually or semi-annually with standard compost,, would this help compensate for the hydrogen peroxide depleting the soil? I would assume a heavy top dressing every fall would be sufficient to balance the loss of nutrients. Let me know if this seems reasonable. Of if there is another, better way to adjust this imbalance. Thanks for this great video!
@MrThingummy

Hydrogen peroxide commonly also has stabilisers such as phosphoric acid in the mix. That is NOT a problem as it just becomes phosphate fertiliser, but it will slightly acidify the soil (as does peroxide anyway), or damage the leaf.

This is correct however food grade does not and is the recommended type for plant use. Make sure ur ratios are exact. I use 1/2 cup of H²0² per gallon of water for healthy plants and germinating. Or 1cup per gallon for fungus on plants. Have used this ratio for 3 years and my plants and lawn are epic!

3% is a ridiculous waste of money if you have other options. In my area 30% is at least 10 times cheaper than 3%. The only catch is that you have to figure out how to get your hands on some water as well. If you can manage it, the choice is obvious.
