My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ru-vid.comUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
myself , ive got the same with a 6hp 2 stroke, love it, surf launch or boat ramp. great boat and plan to take it to our local islands, 11 miles ,23 miles out, i have the extra wide model, rod holders, fish/gps and chart plotter,
mine is grey. 6hp outboard, lowrance, fish/gps/plotter, railblade rod holders" 6 locations" so far so good!, beach launch and also boat launch, all saltwater
Crappie in Clark Hill…… you have to go to bridge 1hr b4 day break, use float lights. The large school come through in 18 minutes or less, but catching them is good luck usually. (That was 35yrs ago. Lol)
Dude, that is one sweet set up. I’ve been checking these things out for a couple years now. Just about to buy one, trying to decide between the 15 or 13 foot. Prob should go smaller because I live in an apartment..
Thank you ! I live in an apartment too!Fits in a closet! Get the 15 im glad i did the 13 wouldve been too small after all the inside space is shorted the 15 is really 11 inside so the 13 maybe 9
I purchased a similar setup thanks to your video! Any tips on storing it? I’m trying to get it as compact as possible and struggled to close the straps on the bag
I got me a 15.1 BRIS with a 9.8 Tohatsu and am contemplating wheels also. Don't want to drag the boat all over the place. Do you remove the wheels when in the water and stow them inside the boat? Nice video by the way! Thanks.
...my 385XL with the Mercury 4-stroke 6 hp does 27 kph...solid transom wheels are better because you don't have to fight with them to deploy them when on the water and about to beach, like with air-filled tires...
Mine are solid wheels some type of soft rubber.. the lock pins are a bit of pain i have lost a couple already lol but yeah they are a must to launch if you dont have a trailer
I have the same sk470xl like yours for a year. Deflating and flatiing was getting tired for me so i decided to buy a hitch extender for my 5.5 short bed truck. Now I just keep it flated and back up and launch like a jon boat. Just an idea for you if you get tired and very time consuming. You wanna get into the water fast to catch them fishes lol.
Yes!! if i had the space to keep it inflated i would! I know is a pain to inflate and deflate .. sometimes i think about it twice before going out hahaha just dreading the setting up time and packing all..but i live in an apartment with no yard so..once i move to a house i will get a small trailer maybe. Thanks for the advice.
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Ricky Dominik i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I have the exact same boat. It performed really well and I loved it while it held air. Unfortunately, after about the 4th use, 3 of the 4 Chambers developed a slow leak that I cannot find. Also, the floor seam blew out on the second use. Great performing boat, but seems mine had some manufacturing issues because I took very good care of it yet still had issues after a few uses. Wish mine was still usable. ...looks like a great fishing setup you've got.
Oh sorry to hear that man what airpressure u were putting in it i never exceed 10 psi floor ans 3.6 psi on tubes and it is a hot day i pump less cause with heat adds more pressure
Eric take it home some dish soap water mix.and see where the air leak is. A lot.of times leaks are in the pressure valve where you put air, but you can clean rocks out, or buy a new pressure valve. If you can't install it I would take it to one of these tire.places small shops, and see if they can install it for you. If it's a small leak somewhere else easy fix. patch it. Same tire shop if you don't feel confident, but ask Saturn for the glue.
Yeah the tubes should be a simple fix.. pin hole or valve but i dont know about the floor he says he blew the seam maybe glue it back with the pvc glue
Great vid thanks for sharing. I’m considering the one you have. Do you thinks it’s not to large for solo fisherman? Once and a while my son will join fishing. It mostly me fishing ocean harbors
Nice set-up, was thinking about placing 2 rod holders on the back of my fishing inflatable boat Saturn FB365, where did you buy the rod holders on the back of the tramson?
Do you get water coming in the hull from the drain plug not holding? Bought scout 430 inflatable got water coming in from the drain plug and found my seam leaking starboard side. Any issues with your Saturn?
Wheels from ebay, the bar from marinefiberglassdirect.com (36” tall) the decals i applied with pvc cement but they are coming apart after folding it so many times. Gotta find a better way but they stayed on.. the numbers with a permanent marker.. black sharpie worked best, get a stencil kit. Paint comes off and cracks sharpie way to go.
@@andreysoloshenko6353 stainless steel 1/2” inch long screws.. into the pvc pipe like 12 of them. Drilled the and screwed down on the pvc but they dont go thru the othe side of the pipe just one side so dont pucture the air floor
I’m in Georgia man I just got one of these. What lake are you on? I’m running a 9.9 on mine as well- was debating whether or not to drill holes for the motor. Do you see it being necessary?
Im on west point lake. You know.. i didnt want to drill it but after thinking whats more valuable my $3100 motor or my $900 inflatable ..i came to the conclusion i rather drill this transom to secure the motor good dont want it sinking 80ft in the lake. Will be easier to buy anothe inflatable than another outboard. The transom is marine plywood will outlast the boat before it rots away.. but my point is i rather save the motor than the boat
Hi Mate, I am looking to sell my Kaboat, exact same as yours, down here in Australia I love your videos and you've done a great job of showing what it can do and would like to place a link to your channel in my Facebook add for anyone who wants to see what it can do. Will that be Ok with you?
I just picked up a kaboat as well and am looking forward to getting it out on the water. Do you find you need to anchor at all, or does it do okay on drifting while fishing without an anchor?
@@touchstone8271 Thanks! I've since had the Kaboat out quite a few times and ended up with a spot-lock trolling motor to help me out. The anchoring definitely proved to be needed when trying to fish along the shoreline. Any breeze moved us around a ton.
@@laingej thanks the reason im asking i got seaegle fasttrack love the thing but sometimes my kid and want to go with me for a ride and need something bigger
I deflate it and fold it all the time.. put on my bed of my truck but that day it got very dirty from getting in and out in a muddy lake i just tossed it in the truck and came home inflated it agan and washed it. I dont wash it all the time. When i take it out the water got to find a clean area usually on grass.. flip it upside down drain water and then dry is with a towel .. deflate it and fold it to be bagged.
I got the same one and it's great. Also got the bimini which I just had to narrow a bit and fitted it on the second pair of padlocks, so easy to remove. I've had my wife, two girls 9 & 12 yrs and small dog on it and used underseat bags that fit on seats for clothes, snorkeling gear and food and it worked a treat. I've also had it trolling on ocean and got a nice spotted mackerel, but still trying to sort my sounder. Great little boat. Had a slow leak on valve, which was easy fix, just remove, clean and replace. Got tired of deflating and packing, so just rigged a pully in my garage and easily hoist inflated boat without foor so it hangs above my car so I just drop it down when I need it. We have a big lagoon or broad water with lots of shallow sandbanks, so looking to put a jet drive on 9.9hp 4stroke so I can go very shallow. Lose about 20% power, so may do what you did and increase power to compensate. Great and very informative videos.

@@AllenMaestas i had a bracket just like that worked well for a pair of 12” kayaks i had. A different story with the 300lbs kaboat+motor, i tried to haul on my bed once.. its too large and heavy. Its a pain in the butt way easier to inflate on site and launch it with its launching wheels or a trailer. But if you have a friend to help you you good. Im by my self. When picking it up out the water onto the bed thats the painfull part you either pick the hole thing or dismount the motor on the water. I prefer to dismount the motor on dry land drain fuel on dry land and all that. If i keep it inflated im getting a jetki trailer.
