Sweet video. I'm basically running the exact same equipment and talents as you. Playing a troll shaman and just deleting people with flame shock + berserking into lava burst. So much fun.
Yeah it's been a lot of fun so far. I can't wait for phase 2 when we get so many of our key talents. Pushback and no grounding has been painful. Also it's always fun watching people not release right away after getting one shot by Lava Burst. It's like they're shocked and are looking at the combat log lol.
@@Stormsong93 Haha, yes! Granted, I'm a new shaman player, so I'm still finding my stride. Any tips on how to play the matchup vs priests? Having a difficult time getting through their shields and the penance heal while getting whittled down by dots.
I haven't run into many priests out in the wild solo so I don't know a 100% guaranteed strategy, but from the few I've faced I will switch to dual-wield to maximize melee damage and pushback on their casts, have WoE so I can flame shock while saving earth shock for penance. I spam purge while I run up to them so when they shield I can guarantee it gets purged. If the priest is smart and dispels flame shock I switch to frost shock for the damage. I tremor a few seconds before I approach them so when they insta fear (they usually do) it cleanses like 2 seconds earlier if I'm lucky enough to be in range still. If you're not engineering or tauren it's probably very difficult to kill them. I'm tauren and engineering so I'm able to get 1-2 lava bursts off before they can dispel flame shock.
I added my macros and a full BIS gear setup in the video description for those interested. I'll have a tank shaman video out soon as well since I've been tanking BFD this phase.
I bet they are going to make shamansmistic rage be independant from rockbiter attackpower in the future since the synergy is just crazy. You get twice or 3 times the mana you would get without 2x rockbiter
I went ele in the first lockout of the season but we quickly saw how bad it was so I've been tanking ever since. I would recommend tanking if you can handle the responsibility. Tanks are in high demand and the other specs are at the bottom or in low demand.
