Nice info here and new techniques. It’s funny about stressing the foam to create the cracks. I just did that on a cement base I’m working on. I used a a 2x4 chunk of wood and really pushed hard to create depth and cracks. Love the wash ideas. Good stuff

What kind of foam do you use and where do you get it?

XPS insulation foam by Owen's Corning. I get it at Home Depot. There is a video on my channel that goes in more depth if you'd like to watch it.

Hi enjoy yr videos so thankyou. BUT on the video now re: cracks ??? Really at this step prior too painting I dont dig the screwdriver handle dots at all yeah. But maybe I should be more patient until the paint session is completed. Just I can't stop looking at those handle dots which are so mechanical and not free. Ok I will now wait. Cheerz Denise WA.

Thanks for the comment Denise. I blended in the handle marks with tin foil texturing. Not sure if you watched the entire video, but I do paint and finish the piece in this video.
