I just discovered Marty and thank God I did. I've been flying blind on guitar for years. I've tried watching other stuff but it all seems to go over my head for some reason. Marty explains things in a super easy to understand way to where even a dummy like me is able to grasp it. lol.

Thanks Marty! I've been playing over 50 years, and used to play a lot of gigs. These days not so much. I gigged so much that the gig was my practice, and now I'm at a loss for what to do for a practice routine. I also played mostly rhythm and not much lead. This will help me all around! @Jacque How do you? Today I'm not sure. In 1969 I helped a band move equipment at a local bar. Later they let me come to a practice. After a couple months I learned their set list(s), about 150 songs as they were an old band. Then I was invited to sit in for $10 a night LOL. 6 months of that and I got a full share, or 1/5 of the $$. I earned a reputation by staying humble, being 'east to be around', and improving every week. After a couple years I got calls for jobs, and I could pick and choose. But I stayed with the same band for 10 years. At one time I was doing 6 gigs a week, and a wedding on Saturdays. Being a good person and someone people want to be around goes a long way! Also being willing to learn, and not complaining helps a lot. Wishing you good luck!! 8) --gary

Awesome, I caught you playing the boomer scale. I'm a 76 YO retiree trying to learn to solo and I play the pentatonic and boomer scale a lot, but it's going slow. For me, chords were easier than learning to play the right hand is but progress keeps me going. Thanx man.

I really appreciate your videos and instructions which are the easiest to understand I've seen as I'm trying to make the switch on guitar from flying blind having no idea what I'm playing for years now. I love Rick Beato's videos but sometimes his stuff is so far over my head I feel lost. Your video on triads literally changed my world.

My secret, do them every day before practice. I do every Pentatonic. I access them from the top strings from the bottom strings. I can use all 5 shapes, I can connect them all up and down the neck. I also do the Blues Penatonics.
