How do you begin to start to explain to those who have never sailed on a ship for four months in the middle of the sea, what taking a semester of your academic classes are like while traveling the world? I guess I can begin with what I know best, a video. 🤍
This video not only to me encapsulates my entire journey from when I told the world I was doing semester at sea, but to the very last moment when we received our participation certificate. Studying abroad is not something I wanted to do, but something I knew I needed to. I needed to see the world to fully get an understanding of what is truly out there and to understand that there is no limits to this so called “life” that we all live.
Before semester at sea, I never traveled to Europe or anywhere solo. Now, I’ve traveled to a total of 21 countries which is the age I will be turning in two days. Something I learned on this voyage, is that people travel to the amount of countries more than their age, which is a tradition I will aspire to continue with.
If you take anything from this post, travel, see the world and fall in love with it because there is no planet B. Love the places you go, love the things you do, and more importantly love the people you meet and get to experience your adventures with. Those people, are the ones that made this past semester the best 4 months of my entire life. The world was always there and will still be there when I get home, but thank you semester at sea for giving me the opportunity to explore it 🌎
