Another option instead of using bobber stops on the front of the spook, you can use 30lb waxed rigging floss and tie a series of half hitches over the braid until it’s about a 1” long… It will stiffin up that section of the braid
Cody do you find that removing the middle treble hook doesn't affect the balance or action of the spook? Just wondering cause I like the idea but have never tried using a spook with the middle hook removed. You should try Livingston's Walking Boss. It's quickly become my favorite walking dog type of lure. Not only in action but the way it sits when its still, the back side sits lower in the water than the rest of the lure. The electronic sounds it emits is the cherry on top.
