Hi friends! In today’s video, I am sharing my skin routine on Tretinoin. Desperate for clear skin in 2020, I ended up clogging my pores terribly, creating closed comedones that I was unable to clear up on my own. I was prescribed Tretinoin by my dermatologist and was able to clear my skin! With the side effects and instructions that came with Tret, I decided to keep my skin routine VERY simple.

Thanks this is such a useful video! I do the same as you except i do use a healing ointment around my mouth and corners of my nose. I also follow up with another layer of Mosturizer after tretinoin (15 mins after)

Hey😊 You can try La Roche Posay’s Anthlios 50+ sunscreen. It does not leave any white cast at all.

I honestly love how you keep it super simple . A simple cleanser, moisturizer, and tret . That is amazing !!! Im gonna buy all of those products when i run out of a cleanser , im currently using curology but its so small and i hate it . Today, i just bought the cetaphil but in the pump version .. How long did it take for the purging to stop?

Thank you! 🫶🏾 Since my skin was in the state that it was, I really couldn’t notice any purging from the Tret. I was expecting some peeling, but that didn’t happen much either with the method that I used, layering lotion first. I hope the Cetaphil works out for you!

What is your morning skin care routine like .Do you just use same cleanser and moisturizer and just add sunscreen?

Depending on strength my .025% cost 35.00 for 30gram but for .1% is about 100.00

Just buy it in India and ask to send it to your place, it's the same formulation, just without some brand name. Sometimes it's even made in the same facility... lol, but they slap some brand name on it and make it 10x the original price. I don't know how it is in US, but at least in Europe, customs tax is just a couple bucks if order is below 150 eur.

Heck no don’t pay so much. There is a US vendor for $25 dollars a tube. And a India vendor for $7 a tube, only con when ordering from India is the delivery time is about 3 weeks.

Thank you so much! I believe it took between 3-6 months to start seeing my skin clear up. Before I began using it everyday, I had to start with every other day first. I was a little overly cautious of the side effects, so I took my time to work up to using applying it everyday. 😊

Hello! So far, so good! I haven’t had any issues with breakouts lately. Just a bit of texture, but that’s 100% on me for sometimes falling off of my routine.

Ive started using tretinoin, its been a week. I do feel some dryness but didnt get any breakouts. However im noticing that my skin has become a shade or two darker than usual and im really concerned. I havent been out in the sun at all this entire week so its not tanning. Have you had any such problems during your tretinoin journey?

Do you use it in the morning? It should be a nighttime only thing. You should also use SPF in the daytime anyways even if there's no sun, cloudy days sometimes have even more UV.

Do you use sunscreen in your routine? Since I’ve added sunscreen to my routine, I’ve noticed less darks spots. Even if I’m not going outside, I put on sunscreen. Tret makes your skin super sensitive to the sun :(

@@kianacamryn alright, I'll start putting on sunscreen daily, hopefully it'll fix my skin darkening problem. I'm seeing changes in my skin texture acne in just a week so I really don't want to have to stop using this :(

Did it gave purging very badly ? Becz am scared of that ..and also it gives me lots of dryness over side of my 👃 any suggestions for that please.

Hi! I personally did not purge badly or at all that I’ve noticed. I was also worried about that. When I first started Tret, I used Vanicream lotion before using the Tret and I eased into it slowly which I feel helped avoid a purge. For dryness around the nose, I use Vaseline on that area in the AM. 😊
