I have the N. American version, the Timex Sinclair 1000. I use it to store phone numbers, journal entries, and various programs that I find online. I know that my journal entries are safe because no one else in my house knows how to operate the thing.

Japan spawned a fair share of personal computers during 80s to early 90s (msx, pc-98, x68000, etc). But UK didn`t leave behind (Acorn, Amstrad, and of course Sinclair ones). ZX Spectrum was really popular here in South America (all over Europe and I hear in soviet Russia too) . I didn´t know about this particular one you are showing us.

Thank you for sharing this info, very interesting. Sounds good. Your most welcome glad you enjoyed it. I really like the Sinclair pc200 that came along few years later. 😊👍💾

@@Dosbite In Brazil, for instance they had a ZX Spectrum clone called "TK-90" and TK-95" which was even more affordable than original ZX. MSX and Commodore 64 were also present in the continent but not as popular (a bit more pricey) as ZX. Keep the good content coming!

I think the 16K expansion is pretty much essential for these computers, or 'home micro" as the buzzword was back then but I am amazed the games that people can squeeze out of this thing, in particular the newer ZX81 games by Chronosoft. Never had one myself, my family went from a pong console to the 16K rubber key spectrum but first used one at the Cambridge museum of computing (Definitely worth a visit) and everything they say about that keyboard is true, it is horrible to use.
