For something called "dark island" you'd expect something more ominous sounding, but this is just pure perfection.

When I first joined the MSM Community, this was one of the first fanmade islands I had seen during that time. I’m excited for mainly the nostalgia that the original Dark Island brought.

I love how calming this song is. Normally you’d think darkness would be more chaotic, but It’s actually really calm!

1:36 THIS PART IS SO GOOD I LOVE THE TRANSITION AND TENEBROISE AND TAIGITWO SOUND GODLY

I like that while the dark element monsters have a more unsettling appearance, they all have a very chill and atmospheric vibe to the sounds they make. Combined with many of them being modelled after subterranean life and the strong percussion the song has to offer, it really feels like the island takes place in a land far below the surface.

This is the most faithful fan made song to the original game. All of the monsters, all of the animations, and all of the sounds feel just like the actual game.

so many changes that made the song a lot better. updated vocal tracks, updated percussion, everything helps to capture the upbeat yet mysterious tone so well, and the seasonal was also amazing as well

This is nothing short of magical. the fact that this exists gives me faith in the MSM community. The fan base is amazing, no inappropriate jokes storming it, chill, enjoys most of the moves the devs make, it’s generally dopamine-producing. Thank you, and many like you, for doing this.

The worst part about this song is that it ended. This was absolutely magical, it's so serene and calming. You outdid yourselves with this. Props to the creators, props to everyone that worked on this. This is definitely one of the best fan made islands.

I’m surprised to see so many comments about how “nostalgic” this song feels. It’s only been 1 year since it came out. But I guess the power of nostalgia doesn’t matter how much time has passed, just matters how much memories were made already.

Taigitwo is simply a great seasonal. Maybe, just maybe, you could animate and put him on seasonal shanty. That would be epic, especially with its lower voice

Tenebroise's solo is so catchy! I can't get its "Sho-La-Los" out of my head

The original sounds calming, this one sounds like a villians backstory (especially the mammot's part)

Ive always loved how JakeTheDrake changes the pitch slightly on some notes, it adds a Nice touch

I just love Gnostrel’s new sound! It sounds so much more like a trumpet than what it originally sounded like. Tennobroise’s placement is also amazing and hits really hard.

From the updated sounds, to the new arrangement, to the changed cord progression, this is absolutely beautiful and a significant upgrade to the original! Well done everybody involved!!!

I love how at 2:00 Mammott's laugh in his idle animation is synced so well with the stalagmite monster. (Forgot the name)

The animations. The bass. The background creatures. Those who worked on this deserve a reward! 🏆

i could go on but to cut it short, i love the minor chords used so much, fits more with the island theme, gnostrel makes it sound so intense and epic, piktate sounds even more magical and carries and i love the changes to balabufo, making it sound more gloomy aswell as taigitwo's additions, this is just wonderful

might be one of my favorite msm projects of all time, so much effort and dedication put into it to form one of the most beautiful fanmade islands I've ever seen, amazing work as always to everyone involved

Entirely because of Taigitwo and Yap this kinda sounds like an Animusic song, despite the fact that Animusic songs rarely contain vocals

This is so good that I listen to it everyday pretty much, I now wonder what it would sound like if the light element monsters and the dark monsters were together😌👍

Sad thing is if BBB were to add this we'd probably have to choose over the Dark Element (Murkobe) and Shadow Element (Grumpyre) as they're so similar

Best island ive seen in a while everything just sounds amazing and the new seasonal complements everything.

The msm community is arguably the best community out there. One of the oldest ones, and yet still holding on together very supportive of BBB. And oh don’t get me started on the fan islands, this is gorgeous! What an awesome community, happy to be part of it

I personally think all the monsters have the perfect volume and designs, just by looking at each of them I can tell which ones the four element the three elements the two elements and one elements

I love this so much! I love the new seasonal, the new roles and changed sounds, it sounds amazing! I can imagine this holiday being one celebrated also on magical sanctum to be honest, just the whole yin and yang symbology really but it seems fitting

Taigitwo is great, and so is literally everybody else. Every monster on this island got such a big glow up sound-wise that I never realized was needed. Gnostrel was always my favorite monster design wise, but now it’s true for sound! It makes the song sound very triumphant and ominous.

It sounds great and a dark element would fit the game greatly

I love how some of the Dark Island monsters, when they are normal, their color scheme is grays and some types of fleshy colors you could say? But when they are rare, their color scheme are purples and blacks. It fits with the dark theme and the creepy but calming vibe to the island. Also, the sound is just amazing! It’s so calming but eerie at the same time. I would definitely listen to this while sleeping. Great island! :D 👍

Something about this version of Dark Island sounds very familiar... :) I have a feeling JakeTheDrake's remix of Dark Island a couple years ago has been a huge influence & inspiration for this. Needless to say, I love this version equally as much as I love the original & the remix by JakeTheDrake. But you know, I think some tracks from the original version could've fit the new version just as nicely, like the 2nd track that Snakuhachi played after T-Rox, Drumpler, and Staclavmite played their percussion solo in the original. Snakuhachi just so happens to be one of my favorite Dark Island monsters, along with Yap, Piktate, Murkobe, & Tenebroise.

Please more yap! I love him and his sound almost held the original up by itself! It let made transitions significantly more seamless, with the odd and subtle sound he makes caused the listener to subconsciously fix any problems with transitions in their head. He’s also based.

It makes me happy that both dark island songs are some of Logan’s most popular videos. The project he has spent years on was a success.

Honestly, I loved the old version more. It was more harmonic and peaceful, and all monsters were hearable. Although this is still great, and I hope that someday it will be official... R.I.P Yap and Tenebroise duet. I will miss you forever.

The taijitu is waking up! Can't wait to see if the new song is here yet or if it will be a rare-only thing. That was awesome! It definitely brings back the nostalgia of when Dark Island first happened, but this time with a brighter song! (ha)

I realized that tawgito is a yin-yang I loved him his sound is very beautiful, using a mythology as a monster sounds great bigbluebubble could hire you and rawzebra among others.

Changes - Noggin’s instrument was changed to the one used on Fire Haven. Fwog’s voice lost its voice changer sound. Piktate has a new track. Two Doo’s were removed from Toe Jammer’s track. Gnostrel has a new track. (Edit: He actually has two new tracks) Tenebroise’s “Choo la lo” is now “Shoo la lo. Tenebroise’s track is extended. Balabufo’s track is extended. Maw’s track was altered a bit. Yap’s track was altered to play with Taigitwo much better. Mammott has a slightly different track. Snakahuchi's second track died T-Rox has a different sound font and less kicks.

I like how it’s just Plant island but without the Plant element

The castle and T-Rox at the start always send chills with the melody of the Dark elemental monster, it will always lock me in

I appreciate that the song overall seems to have addressed the few things that I felt the song needed. It also seems like the percussion solo was removed, which honestly makes a lot of sense in the mood that the song wanted to give

This brings back so many memories! I'm sad that Snakuhachi lost the part that was my favorite, but everything else is perfect! The new Snakuhachi part, Taigitwo, T-rox and Fwog's enhanced vocals! I remember watching this for the first time way back and not liking it much probably because of nostalgia for the old dark island, but hearing this now, I love it.

I thought of a description for this island “ well, dark and scary looking in its appearance. Dark island is anything but that, with its beautiful melody and calming sounds think of it as more of the night sky with its monsters being stars and the melody, they sing as a constellation.”

And rare versions of monsters are good for everyone, both Yap and staclawmitе Gnostrel and others. I would really like to see this island added to the original game
